What did I think about my life? It's cool, it's great, and I loved living in a tiny house with no air conditioning in London with my very sweet, very sarcastic cousin. Why would you ask? I mean, sure everyone kept saying, "1972 is your year, (Y/N)!"...
Heather aesthetic! "Are you sure you don't want to keep this dress?" I asked Heather as I stepped out of my room to show her the dress she was giving me. "I mean, I love it and all, but why give it away?"
I looked up, only to see that Heather disappeared.
Huh.
She promised me she would wait outside of my door while I changed, but she just vanished. Did she really not want her dress back, then?
It was a lovely cream dress with red and pink flowers decorating the fabric. The dress was given to Heather for her sixteenth birthday, which she ever so lovingly cared for. It had short sleeves and a skirt down to my knees. The dress even had a cute little red belt to go along with it.

I checked my watch, only to find out that because I was waiting for Heather, I was now late for my lessons with Miss Peregrine. I looked around the hall once again for my cousin, and quickly gave up.
"Sorry, Heather!" I said, and quickly ran down the stairs. It was too late to change into something more appropriate, but it didn't matter.
I zoomed past Emma, who tried to ask me where I was going. Obviously, I ignored her, and made it my number one priority not to get onto The Bird's bad side by being late.
I ran inside the classroom, to find that Miss Peregrine had already started writing the lesson on the chalk board. It hurt a bit to know she started without me, since I was her only student, but oh well. If she asked about it, I could blame it on Heather if need be.
I found a desk near the front, and waited for Miss Peregrine to finish. I looked over her should to see if I could tell what she was writing. In loopy cursive, it seemed to be the words INVISIBILITY AND VISIBILITY. It seemed as if it would be a fun lesson!
"Good morning, Miss (l/n)," Miss Peregrine greeted me, as she turned around. "I would say you were late, but your partner hasn't showed up at all, so at least you had the dignity to come running in."
Partner? I didn't know today's lesson was going to be buddy-buddy. Most of my lessons have been just me, and I smiled at the thought of having someone join. I wondered whether or not they would be accompanying me in lessons after this.
The door to the classroom opened, and my heart stopped a bit. It was funny to actually see Millard Nullings willingly walking into a room that he knew I'd be in.
After the big game of Hide and Seek two weeks ago, he had been avoiding me like the prick he was. I was still mad at him for rudely sabotaging my game, but I missed him nonetheless.
I waved at him, and offered the desk next to me. He couldn't just decline, either, since Miss Peregrine would notice. Maybe I'd even be able to get answers from him after class as well! Because I really needed to know why he thought that it would be a good idea to ignore me for a long period of time.
