Lumine pov

We were sitting in a camp in Dragonspine, in the entombed city outskirts. It was nighttime and y/n and Paimon were sleeping. I looked at y/n's face as she slept, she looks cute. I soon drifted off to sleep. By tomorrow we should arrive in Liyue.

I was the first to wake up, it was early in the morning. I decided to make some breakfast for everyone. I cooked f/f and some hash browns.

The smell of food woke them up. "Woah, that looks so good, Paimon's hungry." She flashed me a smile. "F/f! Yay! My favourite! Thanks, Lumi!" Y/n hugged me, and a small blush dusted my cheeks.

Ate our food in peace and once everyone was finished we continued our journey to Liyue. The journey was well, uneventful apart from a few enemies attacking us from time to time. The only difficult thing was the snow frost lawachurl. Thanks to y/n's rapidly improving battle skills she managed to almost singlehandedly defeat it.

We were close to the Liyue borders, so we decided to take a break and then continue forwards.

"Paimon's hungry," Paimon whined. "Same here," I said, my stomach rumbling. "We've run out of ingredients..." Y/n got up and made a fire and placed a pot. Soon enough a pleasant smell came from the pot. Paimon's mouth was watering. "That smells so good!" I nodded in agreement.

"𝑶𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒖𝒑𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅..."
Y/n's speciality. Feast your eyes and then your stomach upon this delicacy as the soft ribs melt in your mouth, and the explosion of spices please your taste buds. (sounds so weird) Who knew y/n was able to cook this well?

Similar to Diluc's special dish, only that it was adorned with a pyro slime on top that was wearing a Cecilia flower.

"Yummy!" Paimon and I said in enjoyment. It was gone in less than a minute, we rubbed our stomachs in satisfaction. We waited a while for the food to settle down and we chatted for a good amount of time.

"Let me guess, Diluc taught you how to cook," I said.

"Well, he taught me how to cook this dish in particular, I already knew how to cook ever since I was a kid," y/n explained.

"Now that Paimon's come to think of it, you never told us about yourself."

"It was a fairly normal childhood, I guess..."

"Y/n! Let's play!" A boy with red hair and heterochromatic eyes(blue right, black left) came running over to you. "Okay!"

You both grabbed your hands and went over to the swings. It was the dead of night, only the echoes of your laughter could be heard in the abandoned park. You wanted it to be like this forever. Oh, how naive you were back then.

"Y/n?" Lumine waved her hand in front of your eyes bringing you back to reality.

"You okay?" She asked genuinely worried.

"Yeah, I'm fine." You responded.

Lumine decided not to press on it and let it go. You got up to resume your journey. A sad smile plastered your face.
