Tension at Watatsumi

Cries of help disrupted the view of the Nazuchi Beach. 

A soldier was being harrassed by the Tenyrou Comission, who knew they'd go as far to harm their own civilians. Without a word you and Lumine step in, after a couple of minutes of shocking them with your powers (and quite literally for Lumine) the soldiers retreat shouting profanities as they left. 

"Hmph! Rude!" you scowl at the men, Lumine extends out your arm to lift him up . "Are you ok?" you ask your expression serious yet soft, your eyes met rendering him unable to speak. He nods inside avoid your gaze as he gets up from the floor wiping off sand from his garments. It took a while to gather himself either from the beating or your beautiful eyes or the fact that Lumine can control the elements without a vision, (mostly likely second option). 

The man was reveals himself to be Teppei from the Resistance which was exactly what you where looking for - the ticket to the joining the Resistance was right in front you withing reach. Teppei eyes lit up as the three of you offer to join. "Come on there is no time to waste! We must introduce you guys to the Watsumi Army.

Golden ears perk up and a golden tail moves side to side in a swift motion, "So these are those who saved you? Without a vison?" Blue eyes examine Lumine's clothes carefully, looking for a trance of a vision - as expected there was none.

"And you want to join?" The dog-like general eye's narrowed trying to seem a bit intimidating but his tail gave him away, obviously happy to have new members of the resistance.

Gorou starts to walk away, "Teppei."

"Yes, General Gorou?!"

"Set up the trials for them, I need to tell speak with Kokomi about their arrival."

"Yes, General." he salutes.

"Aww what a cute dog!" you says, eyes sparkling, "uh-huh! Paimon agrees, but he did seem a bit intimidating though!"

"General Gorou is always like that, but he is quite kind!" Teppei added.

"Didn't you see the way his tail was wagging?!" Lumine sighs as the three were rambled on about the fluffly general.

The trials were simple with Teppei giving examples yet failing miserably. The first was archery.

"How was he even let in?" Lumine whispers with a concerned look her face watching how Teppei misses every shot even on a giant target. Some flew right over, some didn't reach the target hitting the ground. 

"I have no idea, but it's not like I can do better." I whisper back.

Teppei laughs sheepishly handing the bow to you "I don't fight on the frontlines." 

I have no idea how to handle a bow! You look at Lumine expectantly for help. She grabs a  one star hunter bow's (bow equivalent of the op dull blade) from nowhere. 

"Mirror my hand and body posture," Lumine puts herself in position and you do the same. Upon letting go of the drawstring Lumine's arrow hits the bulleyes and yours... well it was something.

Lumine POV

Days passed as Lumine, Paimon and y/n have been residing at the resistance camp. Teppei have been getting closer bonding over their lack of proficiency in archery.

"Hey, Lumine is it just me or are y/n and Teppei getting closer?" Paimon voiced my concerns out loud as she chewed on Inazuma's delicacys - onigiri.

"I'll just ask her to go herb gathering with me again." Anything to get her away from that dumbass.

It seemed like Teppei had the same thoughts as me, asking her out at the same time, the audacity of that man to steal my girlfriend from ME!

"Uh, how about we got together?" y/n says trying to calm the conflict.

Ignoring his glare, I agree to do so and he does the same. Good riddance.

That herb gathering was intense, only because of the stares I got from him. Luckily it was over soon and we went back to the camp.

Teppei Pov.

I wandered around the area looking for y/n - the dojo, the archery grounds, the camps, everywhere but she wasn't there. Maybe she went to gather some herbs again. I'd rather not train alone so I opt to find Lumine instead.

I found her sitting alone on the grass fields examining perhaps her dull sword. It looked like it went through a lot, with scratches on it's now matte surface, yet still strong, it mirrored her greatly.

"Ah! There you are Lumine!"

"Oh it's you." She didn't seem to happy to see judging by the tone of her voice, I roll my eyes internally, "What do you want?" she says impatient.

"Fight me, " I looking into her dull yellow eyes looking for a reaction. 

"You can't even shoot an arrow properly or hold a sword to save your life, yet you want to fight me?" She dryly laughs after her snide comment but was cut short by sword. She dodges smoothly than I'd like to admit. I try again but was met by a painful slice on my cheek. The traveller kicks my knee making me fall to the ground, again she impales my stomach with another kick.

"Weak... That's what you are. What were you even planning to achieve with this?" The traveller's cold words were harsh yet true. "I just wanted to..." Face still down, tears fall.

Every time y/n and I would go on patrol, they would have to protect me.  Every. Single. Time. I felt like a burden, maybe if could become stronger, we could even be... 

"What ever you're thinking... Is just just wishful thinking." I look up to see the traveller leaving back to camp, leaving me with a bloody mouth and an aching body.

"Nice sunset, no?"

anyways, yan lumine?? who knows. I was planning on her killing Teppei but I have, other ideas...
