Conqueror of Demons ( ‵▽′)ψ

Lumine POV

As I opened my eyes, a blinding light welcomed me. I rose my hand to cover my face. I sighed. My body felt weak, and I had an agonizing headache. I tilted my head to the side, I expected y/n and Paimon to be there, instead I was greeted by the adepti Mooncarver. He handed me a glass of water, I drank it slowly. I lowered the glass from my lips, I opened my mouth to speak.

Just when I was going to ask, Mooncarver answers: "There is no need for worry, Paimon and Y/n on their way or maybe already at Wangshu Inn."

"Wangshu?" 

"Oh, you had lost consciousness at that time, I shall explain everything to you."

"So that's what happened." I tried to force my body to move, but it refused. Mooncarver noticed. "Don't force it, rest, they will be fine." I reassured me. I still had my doubts.

Somewhere else in Liyue...

2nd person POV

It should be somewhere around here. "Look!" Paimon shouted. Looking in her direction, you saw a building in the distance, it wasn't very far away. You didn't have to walk much since you teleported to the Statue of the Seven by Yaoguang shoal. Crossing the bridge and walking a few metres, you officially arrived at the inn.

Sparkles in your eyes and all around appeared. "Woah~ It's so big~" Paimon floats around the area in excitement. She comes back to you and does a little dance. "Paimon?" you ask, "Do you want to eat something?" "Yeah! Paimon's hungry from all the walking."

You climb the stairs and walk to the seating area and take a seat. A young lady came up to us. "What would you like to order?" She asked in a sweet voice. We looked at the menu, "there's a lot to chose from... Paimon will choose the golden crab!" Paimon said, "Good choice, I'll order, Jade Parcels." you said. "Okay then, jade parcels and one golden crab coming up!" and with that she left. 

Soon after, our meals came. Paimon's mouth started to drool. You giggled, and you both dug in.

.   .   .  A F T E R   T H E   M E A L .  .  .

You called out to the maid to pay the bill. "That would be 2500 mora," you paid and went on your way to find the Conqueror of Demons.

"Where should we look?" you queried. "Let's look around the balcony, I doubt he would be in the kitchen." You nodded and went towards the elevator.

At the balcony you saw the adepti. 

"A sigil of permission? You came prepared, though this only prevents me from hurting you, myself, doesn't mean you can't get hurt in other ways." He gazed at you, then averted his eyes.

"Paimon doesn't get it..." 

"It's for your own good." Just like that, he disappeared.

After failing to explain the situation to him, you decide to go to the boss lady to ask about Xiao.

"Argh! Paimon's annoyed! Paimon wants to give him a stupid nickname, but that means you would end up with cabbages in every chest you find."

"Yeah, better if you don't,"

We asked the boss lady, and she told us to ask Yanxiao to make some almond tofu and some satisfying salad, so Xiao would talk to us.

. . . S O M E    T I M E    L A T E R . . .

"So to recap... we have to exorcize a ghost by seeing the full Witness Sigil so Yanxiao can make almond tofu for Xiao." I said

"Yup! That's about it!" Paimon said.

After seeing the full sigil, we saw the ghost run off. "Ah! T-There she is!" Paimon turned into stardust and disappeared, leaving you to chase after her. 

After a few minutes of cat and mouse, you finally caught up to the ghost. There, in the forest, you saw her possess the ruin hunter. It slowly rose up and immediately started attacking. You summoned your weapon and deflected some bullets, one of them hit the core, immobilizing the hunter. You launched a flurry of attacks and once started to move, you moved away, keeping your distance. Turning into a slime, you used the milelith spears, shooting its core and swallowed it whole. It burned to ashes inside you. Once again, time stopped.

NEW ABILITIES ACQUIRED:

RUIN HUNTER:

                  > Shoot guided bullets at enemies.

                  > Levitate slightly above ground.

                  > Turn into a ruin hunter.

GHOST:

                 > Turn into a ghost

                 > Possess people and objects

                 > Fly

Time returned to normal. And Paimon appeared once again. "Are you OK?" You nodded. "Have a rest, and we'll be on our way." You flopped on the lush green grass, Paimon did the same next to you. 

"Do you think Lumine will be fine?" You ask worried. "She'll be fine! Besides, before you came, Lumine had to fight a dragon and saved all of Mondstadt! When we finish with this, let's visit Lumine. Maybe you could tell her how much you like her~" "Huh!?" A vision of you and Lumine and kissing enters your mind, making you blush. "What?! I D-don't l-like her that w-way...!" You stuttered. The both of you laughed it off. Oh, how you wished Lumine were here. Little did you know, she was thinking the same thing.
