Layers of Clouds

"Where are we going?" Lumine asked, "you'll see," you respond. The three of you were walking through Liyue Harbour to meet a certain someone.

A light blue-haired boy saw you and walked over to you. "Oh, y/n, Paimon! You made it!"

"Yup! Just like we promised!" Paimon said, Lumine looks at the three of you confused, "Huh? what's going on?"

"Well..."

Flashback.

"When will Lumine wake up"  you mutter as you and Paimon walk through Wuwang Hill. Paimon decided that the two of you should walk through the spooky Wuwang Hill for some fun.

"Come on now! I'm sure Lumine will wake up! For now, let's have some fun! Paimon's heard lots of good things about the place!"

Paimon flies a little bit ahead so you walk a bit faster to catch up.

Upon entering the area, the two of you immediately felt chills from the ominous atmosphere.

"I'm getting chills from this place..." you say
"Yeah! And it's not even cold!" Paimon agrees with you.

After exploring for a little while, the two of you start to experience some paranormal events.

When you entered a small run-down house objects started to move unnaturally. A vase that was situated on a small coffee table started to levitate, it seemed like it was about to hit you.

"Watch out!" An unknown voice called out to you, looking behind, you see a blue-haired teen wielding a claymore. A few milliseconds later a crash was heard from the vase which is now on the floor. You noticed a string attached to a piece of the vase.

"Oh, never mind..." he deadpanned
"Who are you?"
"My name is Chongyun and I come from a clan of exorcists," he sighs, "Xinqiu said that there would be a spirit around here..."

"No luck again YunYun~?" Another blue-haired teen with a darker tone teases his friend, Chongyun shakes his head. "Well, let's get some food from Wanming restaurant, you coming?" the last part was directed at you and Paimon.

"Yeah!"
"Free food!"

After ordering your food Chongyun explains his curse, excessive yang energy. His yang prevents him from seeing ghosts as they run away from his yang energy.  The four of you promised to meet up at Wuwang Hill to find some spirits.

End of flashback

"So that's why we are here."
"Yup!" you nod,

"Xinqiu is a bit busy, so it will be just us four," Chongyun points out, "let's get going."

You explore a bit further than the horror attraction in the hopes of finding a spirit and end up finding a domain with hilichurls scattered everywhere.

"!" the hilichurls' noticed you and charged at your group. Paimon disappeared and you all got out your weapons.

The battle was quick, with a few ultimates and skills the ground was littered with masks, horns, and sticks.

"Is it over now?" Paimon reappeared, "Not yet."

A familiar mechanical whirring was heard, looking up you saw a ruin hunter. "Gimmie a break..." Lumine muttered.

You turn into a slime, and using the ruin hunter attributes, you launch missiles at its core making it fall to the ground, weakened.

Lumine drops a geo rock inflicting geo, and Chongyun launches ice swords creating ice shields and severely damaging the Hunter.

It rises again and lunges forward piercing you, "ow!" "Are you ok!?" Chongyun asks, you nod, and Lumine runs over with Rosaria's special dish.

After swallowing the food, the hunter was defeated. You revert to your human form.

"Now we can finally enter the domain, maybe there are ghosts inside!" Chongyun goes ahead and enters, you and Lumine go in holding hands with Paimon following behind.

Some hours later after defeating many enemies no luck in finding any spirits.

Chongyun let out an exhausted sigh. He apologized deeply for bringing you along for nothing.

"It's ok, it's ok" Lumine dismissed his apologies.
"Well I had a lot of fun, Chongyun" you comment.

"Well, we better find a way to get to Inazuma soon," Lumine says.

"Inazuma? I know someone who probably knows how to get there!"

"Who?! Who!? Paimon wants to know!"

"Beidou,"

Behind the scenes:

Xinqiu snuck jueyun chillis into Chongyun's food. Chongyun was handed a popsicle with chili sprinkled on it by y/n. Y/n didn't know there was spice on it. Chongyun acted like a drunk.

I really gotta stop disappearing, but I've got Spanish GCSEs coming up soon in June and I'm doing the exams a few years early (in yr 9 rn).
