A/N- Tooth rotting sweet stuff. Pregnant y/n and Matt Murdock have my heart.

Word count: 810 (extremely short just because this was a small idea I've had for a while)

It was late on a Friday night, and you where standing in the kitchen under the light from the banner outside. You had a cup of tea in your hand as you walked over to the couch, plopping down quietly so you didn't wake Matt.

God how you hated this. The pregnancy of course, not Matt. You where due in two weeks and to say the past month had been shit would be an understatement. Everything you did hurt. Your feet, hurt. Your stomach, hurt. Your legs, hurt. Everything fucking hurt and you where sick of it.

Matt had been extra protective of you since he found out you where pregnant. Every movement you made Matt would rush into the room making sure you where okay. You couldn't lift a finger around Matt without him telling you to go rest. It was nice, but you wanted to make sure he wasn't throwing too much on his plate.

"Y/n?" Matt called out quietly as he walked into the living room where you where sitting. He was wearing a pair of grey sweatpants, scratching his head as he walked into the room, looking like he was still asleep.

"Oh Matt, I'm sorry." You sat up a bit, "I tried to be quiet, the kettle made noise-"

He shook his head as he pressed a kiss to your lips. "You didn't wake me, don't apologize." He sat down on the couch next to you, placing his hands out for you to come rest in his arms.

"The baby's kicking again." Matt said, wrapping his arms around you tightly as he placed his chin on your head. "I can hear it."

You offered a tired smile, "Yeah." You placed your hand on your stomach. "Damn bastard won't let me sleep."

Matt snarked at your comment, letting out a small laugh. "Well it is our child so it has the combined stubbornness of both of us." He pressed a hand to your stomach and lowered his head down to it, feeling around as it kicked you.

"Your not gonna give mommy even a bit of rest?" He asked, planting a kiss on your stomach. "Cut me some slack, I have to work with her tomorrow. She can't even have coffee so she's gonna be a bitch."

You smiled, smacking Matt on the back of the head.

"See, it's already staring." He said back to your stomach like he was having a conversation with someone.

You rubbed Matt's head as he stayed near your stomach. "Keep talking to the baby." You said as you leaned your head back. "Its calming down."

Matt smiled down at your stomach as you laid fully down on the couch, your head being propped up by a pillow. Matt crawled in between your legs, placing his ear to your stomach.

"You know, mommy thinks your a girl." He shook his head at the idea, "But I think your a boy." You smiled when he gave you a smirk. "Your gonna be just like me." He said rubbing your stomach, "I'll even get you a tiny daredevil costume."

"You will not."

Matt chuckled, pressing his ear back to your stomach as he listened to the baby's heartbeat. You loved seeing him like this, happy. His muscles weren't tensed, he wasn't on high alert, he was just Matt. A very happy Matt.

"If you happen to be a girl, I'll take you to dance classes if you want them." He swiped his finger over your stomach. "Or you can play softball, I know Foggy would be happy to have an addition to the team."

You smiled, leaning your head back as the kicking in your stomach calmed down. Your eyes fluttered shut as the feeling of your hand on Matt's head lightened.

"No matter what though," He whispered. "I promise you I will love you more then anything." He shrugged, "Besides the person who's carrying you, I love her more then life itself."

Matt could hear that you where asleep, and it made him smile. He slowly pushed himself from your stomach as he stood from the couch.

He walked over to you, picking you up as he took you into the bedroom, placing you under the covers and tucking you in tightly. He placed a soft kiss to your forehead as he stood up, walking over to his side of the bed and getting in the covers.

He wrapped his arms around you, keeping his hands on your stomach as you both slept.

"Goodnight." You said to Matt quietly, the feeling of his smile on your skin making you grin.

"Goodnight, sweetheart." He stopped for a moment, "And you too." He said even quieter rubbing his hands over your stomach.
