A/N- Hello everyone! This was a request that I got a few days ago. This is basically another sweet and fluffy dad Matt Murdock that I hope you all enjoy!

(Ps. I recommend listening to the song Father and Son by Cat Stevens. That song was my main motivator for this one shot <3)

When people say that having a baby is hard, they truly aren't describing how hard it is.

Three weeks ago you welcomed Jack Michael Murdock into you and Matt's family. Things since then had been good, Jack was a great baby with a wonderful and hilarious personality. The majority of his features took after Matt, the dark chocolatey eyes and brown fluffy hair. Truly, you wished Matt was able to see how much Jack looked like him.

One thing that wasn't on the good side though, was Jacks sleeping schedule.

"Shhhh..." You calmed him down, pressing his body close to yours as you cradled him in your arms. His petrified screams and cries where ringing in your ears as exhaustion pooled over your body. "It's okay,  I'm right here."

Jack hadn't slept a full night once since you brought him back from the hospital. Every night was the same, he would fall asleep at 7:30 and wake up at 12:00 am wanting to eat. From there, his energy levels went at an all time high, leaving you praying for him to fall back asleep.

Tonight was especially hard. Jack hadn't fallen asleep once and from the sound of it, he wasn't planning on falling asleep anytime soon. You where mentally and physically drained, feeling as if your entire body was just edging towards the seat in the corner of the nursery.

Matt came walking from your bedroom and into the nursery. His brown fluff of hair rising like a mane on his head as his shirtless figure came into full view.  He rubbed his eyes with the back of his hands, his exhaustion weighing over his body just as it was yours.

"Matt, he's not sleeping and he hasn't for the past twenty-four hours." You rocked Jack gently side to side, your emotions all over the place as you felt like your mind was at a breaking point. "What if somethings wrong with him? Should I take him to the doctor?"

Matt shook his head, getting closer as he placed his hand on your shoulder. "He's okay, he's just having some trouble sleeping." He motioned for you to hand him over. "Let me take him, you go get some sleep."

"No it's fine, really." You reassured him as Jack kept crying. "You have a big trial tomorrow and you need sleep, I can handle it."

"Y/n, I'm up at all hours of the night usually." He put his hands out, practically prying Jack from your body as he placed him against his chest, patting his back softly with his hand as he rocked him. "Go get some sleep, we can trade off in the morning." He offered a small smile as he pressed his lips to your forehead.

You gave him a look of pure relief as you began to walk out of the nursery. You stopped, turning back as you pointed at Matt, your mouth opening as you where about to speak.

"Sweetheart, I know where the bottles are." He finished your words before you even could get then out. He turned back as Jack continued wailing at the highest level he could. "Jack will be okay with me. You forget us Murdock boys got the devil in us."

You chuckled before walking back to your room. As soon as your body hit the mattress you where out like a light, leaving Matt and Jack in the nursery together.

Matt rocked Jack back and fourth as he moved into the chair in the corner of the room. He held him close to his chest, letting Jack listen to his heartbeat as he reassured him that everything was okay. Slowly, Jack's crying slowed down as hiccupped breaths escaped his mouth.
