"You could be more than that!"  Pointed Orsmund.  "You deserved better than this!"

"No."  She picked up the clothes because had shivered from the temperature.

     "No?"

"No."  Repeated.  "I like what I do. I'm happy to offer pleasure. I mean, selling... I serve men of greater influence. I know their secrets. That's why I don't differentiate between men and demons! Strange as it may seem, they trust such a woman."  She ran her hand over her body.  "I live much better than many think. They fall under my influences like flies are attracted to cobwebs. You, as you say you are a demon, have fallen."

"At what price? I don't talk about money. Are you happy?"

"I already told you I like what I do!"

     "Are you happy?"  Reaffirmed.

"I feel comfortable and that's enough!"  She got up with the intention of leaving. However, she was stopped by the Viking who looked at her affectionately.

"I didn't mean to hurt you! As much as it seems, you are not completely alone in this world!"

"I know that."  She kissed his face.  "Neither you! Nobody is!"

"Wait."  He put on his pants.  "I want to pay you..."

"No! I wanted to offer myself! The next time I have availability I will give you the freedom of prices."

"I don't want to pay you for your chores. Your happiness..."

"Happiness can't be bought!"  She turned away, abruptly.

"Everything ends up having a price, even when we don't want to admit it! And again, I'm not just about money."

"Nothing could buy my happiness!"  She stopped on the threshold.

"What happiness would that be? If I may ask..."

"The happiness of conceiving life! I'm not able..."  She looked over the shoulder.  "Call me what you want, but the children who walk around abandoned don't interest me much. This proposal has already been offered to me! So, I'm comfortable with what I have!"  Orsmund opened his mouth to speak.  "Don't be sorry! Don't say anything! I don't need words of comfort! As I said, my happiness cannot be bought. I've learned to live with it and there will be no one who can reverse my abnormality. Nothing will make me live with false hopes! Farewell, Orsmund!"  She blew him a sweet kiss.

"Goodbye, Lendyhi!"  The words danced on the air, lost without reaching the recipient.

In addition to having enjoyed a pleasant evening, Lendyhi's farewell left him a little shaken. He chuckled to himself as he imagined Rugui's opinion on this matter.

The sun was still beyond the horizon. Which motivated him to prolong the night. He returned to the unknown woman's hut. He looked through the window again. The woman was agitated. A bead of sweat outlined her forehead. Orsmund realized that a nightmare was bothering her. Quickly, he concentrated and invaded her dreams. He just caught a glimpse of a blade coming towards him. Such an impact made her wake up with a start and forced him to take a step back from the unexpected shock. As he recovered from the shock, he identified the silhouette that projected itself in a reflection. She got out of bed, careful not to wake her companion, and cautiously headed outside. She had seen him move away from the window, and for that very reason, full of courage, she took the knife used by her husband. Cautiously, she withdrew the cutting tool from its leather-covered scabbard and gripped the buffalo horn handle firmly. She knew she was breaking the rules that had been set for her. Touching her husband's instruments was strictly prohibited. If she was discovered, she would get a beating. A curved weapon made of forged steel approximately 12 inches long. The Viking circled the house. The woman opened the door and stood on the threshold. The vampire identified a difference in the wind. Her more intense scent told him she was about to expose herself. He turned around to avoid having his back to her. He moved like a feline to the tree. The only one there on that land. The broad diameter of the trunk was enough to hide him. However, she had the strange sensation of shadows stirring out of the corner of her eye. She squeezed her fingers tighter and took a step forward. She needed to confirm what she had just seen. She followed patiently in silence and with controlled breathing. She looked around once and went on. Thoughtful, not subject to the light of the delicate moonlight, she approached the tree. He surrounded her but there were no signs of anything or anyone. Everything was totally serene. A quiet atmosphere that aroused suspicion. It was out of the ordinary not to hear a sound in that area. A usual chirping of the typical owls. It was then that she stopped. At the rear, her hearing gave her to understand that someone had suddenly appeared. As she prepared to counterattack, a hand appeared to grab her forearm. She froze. Panic had invaded her thinking. In the soundless void a dry step stood out on the sandy soil. Near the peak of her desperation, the fingers that touched her rose to her shoulder to signal her to turn around. Giving in to the request, she shifted position. Before any inopportune adversity, the Viking put his index finger on his own lips and then caressed hers so that she could see that he didn't want there to be any noise. Stunned by the large burly man before her, she looked up at the open door, tremendously alarmed. The vampire cupped her chin, gently, and shook his head. She didn't understand what that denial meant. Nevertheless, she managed to relax a little. As the brief peace emanated from her, Orsmund absorbed every contour of her face, giving each a sense of the concept of beauty. Involuntarily, he ran the tip of his tongue over his own upper lip. Such an act made her focus on her mouth and when he, aware of her attention, leaned closer to her face, her pupils dilated. Spontaneously, her mouth parted slightly. Softly, Orsmund bowed and did her bidding. He brought his lips to hers in a docile kiss. When they parted, she drew back in a faint blush.

"Look at me!"  He longed in a low whisper.

She obeyed his request. In that instant, the vampire caught her vision and took advantage of the opportunity to compel her. He intended to make her forget, and he set about this task. When he left, she wouldn't remember him. As if none of this had happened. Then, which coerced her into not remembering, he chased her to the doorway. And after watching her lie down through the window, he felt a bit of regret for not asking her name. However, he believed that he would not return. For that reason, it didn't matter. He didn't look at her again. He headed for his home without turning around once. And he threw this moment away from his memories. After all, he didn't love her. He felt sorry. Pity that she subjugated herself to the one who didn't deserve her. Her eyes told him that she was worthy of an illustrious life for the one she had submitted to. In conclusion, he was sorry for the female gender. Because they don't value themselves. They were far more superior to those of petty minds who imposed on them their own faults that they were unable to admit. Women are not just for giving birth. They mustnot be inferior. They should be treated equally. To have a balance. And neverbe abused.
