Larry adjusted the gps, there was still 5 hours
drive to Dallas. Larry took the ring out his pocket and glanced at it while driving.
Larry: She doesn't mean it...
He put it back in his pocket and drove faster. He was conflicted. All he wanted to do was keep her safe no matter what but it felt like he was ruining his relationship with her.
Lau's POV
Ella walked around the house.
Ella: Alright little one... you wanna watch tv?
Lani: Lau Lau promised the pool
Lau: And I mean my promise... I'm just a little sleepy and you can't go into the water without someone holding you.

Ella smile and grabbed the tv remote that was on the living room table, turning her show on. She watched it like a zombie. Completely fascinated.

He whispered and pulled her into the kitchen

Ella: The house is beautiful but are we safe here?
Lau: We are I promise... this house has a security system. Anything weird and I'll know. Plus this is Texas... we have guns

Lau: Relax they're hidden in high place.
He opened the cabinet door and reached for the cookie jar on the very top and pulled it out setting it on the counter. He opened the lid and took the gun out.

He opened it and showed the ammo inside.

Lau: They're all on a safety lock. If you ever need to use it. Flip this switch or it won't shoot,
Ella: You mean you have multiple guns? How many?
Lau: One in the kitchen, upstairs bathroom, and one in the basement
