"Felix, come on, get up," Hyunjin shakes my shoulder. It's lunch time. We are practicing our dance choreography for Changbin's birthday. When I decided to join their dance crew they immediately accepted me. The only thing that they were holding back for was the fact they didn't have anywhere to perform. So I, being the best boyfriend ever, told them we should perform for Changbin. They agreed and that's how I ended up here, dancing to Changbin's favorite song. Myself by Bazzi.
"I'm so tired," I whine.
"You don't even have to memorize the whole choreography. We only have a week left," Minho says. He's actually a really strict teacher. A good one, but he makes it stressful. I've got a load of work as well as that project with Changbin. It's a lot. I place my hand on my forehead and sigh. Even though he said he didn't want anything big, I'm determined to do it.
"Relax a little Minho. He's doing fine," Hyunjin pries into the conversation.
"If we aren't singing and rapping then our visuals should be ninety-nine percent," Minho scolds.
"Then let's sing and rap," I tell them, pushing myself up off the floor.
"Singing and dancing at the same time is so unbelievably hard," Minho argues back.
"Yeah, but," my phone interrupts me. I look at the caller id. It's Changbin. I quickly accept the call and wait for him to speak.

"Hello?"
"Hey, I'm almost done."
"It's fine, take your time. Do you need a change of clothes?"
"I brought some. You're at the cafe, right? I'm going to start heading there now."
"Okay. Don't rush. I'll see you soon."
"Mhm, bye."

"Your boyfriend?" Hyunjin asks.
I nod my head and pull myself to my feet. "I'm helping him with a project that's due next week," I say, pushing my sweaty hair back against my head. "Anyway, you guys decide. Text me the results. I'll see you tomorrow," I say, quickly gathering my things. With a quick goodbye to my friends, I start heading toward the cafe where Changbin is. We are meeting there and then driving back to my place. Thankfully, since I really need a shower. I told him I was working out with Hyunjin and Minho because I want to get closer to them. While it's not a full lie, it's not the whole truth either. When I get inside the cafe, I look around for my boyfriend. I find him sitting in the very isolated corner of the shop, his chin resting on his hand as he looks at his computer screen. A very honorable mention to this view is the pair of glasses sitting on the bridge of his nose.
I didn't know he wore glasses. He looks especially cute. I smile without putting too much effort into it. Every time I see him this tends to happen. He makes it so easy to be happy. I see that there are two drinks on the table. He ordered for me. God, I love him. I head over and knock on the table gently to grab his attention. "Sunbaenim," I tease, slipping into my open seat.
Changbin looks at the watch on his wrist. "I thought you'd take a little longer," he tells me.
"Minho was annoying me so I got out of there quickly. Plus, I wanted to see you," I say, taking hold of the drink he got me. It's a cold tea. I feel instantly refreshed when I take the first sip.
"Minho was annoying?" My boyfriend asks.
I nod. "We just had a little disagreement. It's fine. Nothing big. It's just a subject he's really passionate about," I explain, twirling around the small ice cubes in my drink. They've melted. I wonder how long Changbin's been here for.
Changbin doesn't pry into the reasoning behind our disagreement. He simply takes off his glasses, puts them in his bag gently, and closes his laptop, stuffing that inside as well. "How long have you been waiting?" I ask.
"For about two hours. I had to work on a presentation for my music technology class," he says, stretching his arms over his head with a groan. My eyes trail over the build of his arms and chest, head tilting to the side as I bite my straw. He's so attractive. When he catches my eye he raises a brow. "What?"
I shake my head. "You just look good in short sleeves. It's a nice sight."
Changbin's ears grow red at my compliment. "You're such a flatterer," he mutters out. I smile knowingly at him.
"A little bit. I didn't know music technology was a class. Is it fun?"
My boyfriend shrugs a bit with a far away look. "It's fine. I mean, you have to know what you are working with to actually compose music. Of course, I love learning about how to make my music better, but it can be difficult. It's a lot to memorize and there's so many different ways to put a piece together. Especially with all the sound boards and instruments that exist. With all my other classes going on, it just makes this one that much harder," Changbin pushes himself up from his chair and grabs his bag, swinging it onto his shoulder.
I take this as my time to stand as well. We leave our drinks behind for the workers to take care of and exit the small cafe. Once we reach outside, Changbin offers me his hand. I take it and give him a smile before saying, "sounds like you are busy. You sure you have time to waste on me?"
Changbin shakes my hand away from mine and wraps his arm around my shoulder, pulling me close. "Even if I have no time for you, I'll make it," he says before pressing his lips against my cheek.
I nudge him back playfully and chuckle. He wasn't lying when he told me he is a romanticist. "Charmer," I whisper.
"Actually, since you've mentioned it a lot, I started making a song about that. Oh, and for my birthday, I'm performing," I nod since I already know about his performing part. "I have a song I'm gonna sing for you."
"You're gonna sing me a song?" I exaggerate it a bit.
"I can sing," Changbin argues with a mumble. "Kind of."
I laugh loudly, my hands falling into my pockets. We talk some more about his new song which is apparently inspired by all the times I've called him charming. When we get to my house, I take a quick shower and get dressed. I then fall onto his lap, arms wrapping around his neck. I snuggle up to him, looking down at his phone which is in his hands. "Your couch is surprisingly comfortable," he says. He says the strangest things at times.
"Dork. How are the lyrics coming?" I ask.
"They are coming. I'm a bit stuck. I have the first two verses, pre-chorus, and refrain, but the chorus is driving me insane," he explains, showing me a few papers with a mess of hand writing all over it. I take it and read over it. There's a section, a verse I think is what it's called, that I like a lot. It reminds me of a certain time we shared together.
"You're just writing a love song about us at this point," I tell him, shaking my head in fake disappointment.
Changbin places his chin on my shoulder, arms wrapping around my waist. "They don't have to know that. Not until my birthday anyway."
I lean into his embrace and grab the pencil stuck behind his ear. I start writing down sentences that I like, my mind replaying the melody of our song. I cross out some of the words he used and correct them into more descriptive ones. When I'm finished, I hand it to him. He reads it over, whispering it to himself to hear how it sounds from his own lips. "Felix," he calls my name.
"What?"
"Did you know," he pauses, looking up with a wide smile. "That I really like you."
I groan, hiding my face in his neck. "Stop~"
Changbin chuckles and tosses the papers onto the coffee table. "I'm serious. You just made the song ten million times better."
I squeak when he fixes our position so we are cuddling. "You should just be quiet and stop making me flustered," I tell him.
"I'd rather not. Your embarrassing expressions are adorable."
We end up taking a nap together. Our first actual couple cuddle time. He's a good cuddle buddy.
