"I think I want to intern at your family's company," I tell Changbin, looking over the application form on the website.
"Really?" Changbin peaks over my shoulder as he sips his morning cup of coffee.
"I don't have much to put on my resume. You think I'll still make it?"
"Yeah. Even without pulling strings you're a hard thing to pass up. Your good looking so an internship at one of the stores will help you start out. I think once you gain the title as a regular employee, you'll make it up to the top in no time. Once you get your masters my sister can hire you as her secretary or something. Or hand you a branch to watch over. Of course, you'll have to prove yourself. She's not easily satisfied."
"I don't want freebies. That doesn't prove to your parents how capable I am. I'm gonna support you through your career so I need to show them I can do it," I start to pull up the application form for one of the nearest stores in association to the company.
"Oh, right. I forgot to tell you. I went to an audition the other day," Changbin says.
I pause my actions and turn to look at him. "And? For who?"
"Some entertainment that is somewhat popular. Pnation or something like that. Jisung and Chris went too. They said they were interested in us as potential trainees but I don't know. The whole things got my head in a knot. There's so many rules to follow," Changbin sighs out an explanation.
He doesn't seem super excited about it. "Babe, that's great news. Did they strictly say they want you as a trainee? There's no producer spots open?"
"There is. They said I could choose either and contact them once I've decided. The thing is, Chris and Jisung really want to become a group and try to make it into the world. I just think it will be a lot of work."
"Can I see the contract?"
Changbin hums, handing me his coffee. He comes back a minute later with a stack of stapled papers. I trade objects with him and scan over the words. It takes a while. Once I'm done, I raise a brow at him. "This isn't what I was expecting."
"It almost seems too good to be true, right?" Changbin asks, wrapping his arm around me. He's right. There's no dating ban, he gets to write his own music for the majority of what's released to the public, he'll need to take acting classes but most of what people will see must be his real self, and most importantly, his contract only lasts for five years. Most are seven or more. "Honestly, I was a bit upset at first."
I raise a brow in confusion. "Why?"
"What do you mean why? You're the one that set this up."
My eyes widen. "Wait this is the company that Younghyun's dad owns?"
"You didn't know?" Changbin asks.
"No. He just told me his dad is a CEO of a entertainment company so I thought I'd ask him for some help. He never mentioned the name of the company."
Changbin chuckles, kissing the side of my head. "Well, thank you anyway. I was upset about it at first. Later though I realized you just wanted to support my dream."
I give him a smile and rest my head on his shoulder. "So, what are you going to do?"
"I think I'm going to sign to be a trainee. If it doesn't work out, I can always apply to be a producer."
I look at my computer and then the contract in my hands. "Looks like it'll be a long night of paperwork."
Changbin and I share a look before sighing loudly. "Fighting!" I shout. My boyfriend rolls his eyes and starts to tickle me. "Hey!"
