Saturday is finally here! Our date day! I woke up before my alarm this morning, god I feel like a love struck fool getting this excited over a date. This just any date though, this is a special date with my angel to show her just how much I care about her. I texted Rhys to let him know I will be on my way in an hour, he agreed to help me set up for the date. I hop in the shower and get cleaned up before stepping out to brush my teeth. I dress in casual clothes until tonight, I'm bringing a change of clothes for the date as well as overnight clothes to Rhys' house for after setup I can get freshened up and get dressed before picking up Bryn. I head downstairs to grab a quick bite before going to the store for the supplies I'll need for later. After eating a bowl of cereal I grab my bag and head out to my truck. I got my truck last year for Christmas from my dead beat father, at least he did one thing good for me since he left us, its a blackout 2019 Ford F-150 fully loaded extended cab with automatic side steps. I'm in love with this truck along with my race car. I hop inside and my phone automatically sync with the truck for hands free texting and driving with voice command. I head to Home Depot for supplies for the date: lights, wool blankets and mosquito  repellents. As I'm checking out I as the cashier for the best flower shop around. She tells me there's one right up the road from here, I thank her as I walk out. The overwhelming scent of the flowers invaded my nose as i walk into the flower shop, instantly I see the flowers I'm getting for tonight. I buy 3 dozen of them I'm gonna need a lot for what I have planned for them.

I'm about 30 minutes behind my schedule but if I speed through on the highway I can make up my time. Arriving at my Aunts house a little after 11am to pick up Rhys, we head to the local park to start setting up and getting the food reserved for tonight. We arrive at the park and he helps me grab some bags to bring down to the gazebo to set up. While he strings up the fairy lights around the poles of the gazebo I start to pluck petal by petal of the white orchids and lie them along the cobblestone pathway that leads to the gazebo. After rearranging the tables under it I leave one table right in the middle with petals around the table along the floor of it. I grab a wool blanket and make my way tot he opening of the park where I lie the blanket on the grace with petals leading from the gazebo to the opening. As soon as I'm done with the flowers I call the local Italian restaurant and place an order for their penne pasta with cream sauce a side of garlic bread and a bottle of white wine to be picked up at 5:30pm by Rhys. He's to pick up the food and head here to lay it out while I pick up my angel. From the restaurant to here takes roughly 15 minutes so figuring I'm gonna be meeting her father as well tonight I chose a time close enough to the time I told her I would pick her up so our food don't get too cold on our way here.

We head back to the house around 3pm to freshen up and pick up a surprise I have for her. I send her a quick text.
Me-Hey angel I cant wait to see you tonight. Send me your address so I don't get lost finding you 😏
I head into the bathroom to brush my teeth and fix my hair, I don't usually use hair gel but this is a special occasion. My phone dings with a notification from her.
My Angel-I'm so excited right now I cant get my face to stop flushing. Lol so if I look like a tomato later just ignore it ok? 4689 Haven Way. See you soon boyfriend 😘
I let out a laugh at her quirkiness. God I already love her. Rhys knocks on my door as I open it he smirks at me, "So I'm off to get the food and set it up. Don't forget the surprise and the blindfold" he says as he walks down the stairs and out the door. Taking a deep breath I shut the front door and climb into my truck and head to the address she sent me. With my nerves starting to kick up a notch as I get closer. After parking in her driveway I take in the little country style farmhouse, the house itself is white with dark blue shutters and a bright red door. I pick up the bouquet of carnations I picked from my aunt's garden from he passenger seat, and I make my way up to her door. Taking a slow breath I knocked twice on her door and I swear my heart combusted as soon as she opened  the door.
