Gavin
Sitting in my room, I think back to my phone call from earlier. We returned from our trip earlier today and the first thing I did was call up the wedding planner to schedule a meeting to get things going.
Phone call:
Izzy the wedding planner- Good afternoon, thank you for calling Magical Dreams. Where all your wedding dreams come true, how may I help you?
Me- My name is Gavin Walker, I need your services for my spring wedding in May. Are you available to meet with my fiancé and I soon to discuss details?
Izzy- I'm open this Wednesday, say around 5pm. Would that work for y'all?
Me- sounds perfect, thank you.
End callWe only have 5 months until our wedding, everything needs to be perfect. We are having a big family dinner tomorrow night to tell our parents. My angel will have her dream wedding, anything she wants she will get. We talked a little bit about it on the plane ride home. She doesn't want a big one, seeing as she doesn't have many friends or family which works for me. I'd say about 100 guests, we decided to have the wedding here at the house. The garden in the backyard is perfect, the flowers around the fountain with a gazebo that will have to be built. I told her that after our wedding we could move the gazebo to our house and put it in the backyard. She can sit our there and make her own garden, read or just sit and enjoy the sunset. School starts back tomorrow then work afterwards. Dinner is at 7pm with the parents, we chose a steakhouse to relax the blow of our news, our fathers love a good steak. What Texan doesn't love a good steak? She will be returning to work on Tuesday since and I've noticed lately she's been nauseous and feeling weak. I think she may be coming down with something probably something she e caught in New York. If she's not feeling better by this weekend I'm gonna have to force her to the doctor. I have been thinking s and I'm gonna ask Rhys to be my best man, I really don't have the best of friends so they can be my groomsmen, I guess. I hear a light knock on my door as I lie on my bed and think about my future with Bryn.
"Come in" I say. The door opens and Lee walks in in her Bambi pjs. She loves Disney movies, I believe she has a pajama set in each movie made, for someone who's 16, she reminds of a little girl at times. "Hey, big bro. How was New York?" She asks as she sits on my bed. "It was great, she got Rhys and I tickets to see the 'Yankees' at Fenway Park, can you believe that? Oh, which reminds me. Here, this is for you" I dig through my bag I haven't unpacked yet and give her the baseball and shirt from New York. "Oh my god, your giving me your signed ball? This shirt is awesome" she says as she jumps off my bed and starts jumping around my room laughing. Bryn got her a hot pink shirt that says 'I love NY' but the I is a hot dog and the love is a pretzel instead of a heart, I didn't know she did that. I wonder if she got everyone unique shirts? Knowing her she probably did, each one different and special. That's why I love her. "Of course, you put that ball up somewhere special ok. Bryn got you the shirt" I tell her and her eyes widen in surprise even more than they already were, she loves Bryn. "She got me the shirt?" She r me in a whisper. "Yeah, she did. Don't you like it?"I ask her a little worried. I see a tear roll down her cheeks and my big brother instincts kick in and I wrap her in a hug, "I love it. I really like her" she mumbles in my chest. "That's goos because she;s gonna be your sister in law in about 5 months, what do you think about that?" She pulls out of the hug so fast she almost trips over her pajama pants so I have to catch her before she falls."What!?" She shrieks in my ear. I think I've gone deaf. Laughing at her reaction, she start running around room yelling "OMG". She suddenly stops and looks at me wot a shocked face, "Are you you serious? Y'all are getting married?" Nodding she runs to me and jumps in my arms, "But, you can't say anything. We're gonna tell everyone tomorrow at dinner, ok?" She just nods and kisses my cheek before grabbing her stuff and runs out of my room. Shaking my head at her I go back to my bed and grab my phone to text Bryn before she goes to bed for the night. Just five more months and she will officially be my wife and I can wake up next to her every morning.
The next morning when I go down for breakfast Lee smirks at me as I go to make my coffee before school. Using my finger I make the zip gesture over my mouth before our mom turns around, she gives a wink before she gets up and grabs her back for school. I walk up to my mom and give her a kiss on the cheek and remind her of dinner tonight before I head out to school. Schools boring as always, I'm so glad it's almost over. After school I head to the office to get started on my paperwork I've missed while on vacation. Around 6pm I head up to dad's floor to remind him about dinner in an hour. I see his secretary Betty on the phone so I gesture to her that I'm going in his office, she nods at me to go on. She's a sweet old lady, she's been with dad for the past 10 years. I get along with her two kids, they are about 5 years older than me. Knocking on hid door I see he's still working on his paperwork so I take seat on his couch and wait for him to get done. After about five minutes he glances up at me, "Hey son, you haven't left yet?" He asks as he stacks the papers on his desk, he's a bit of a neat freak when it comes to his desk. "Not yet, just on my way out now. Just wanted to remind you about dinner tonight at the roadhouse" I tell him as I stand and make my way to the door. "Don't worry son, I'm just finishing up and we will meet y'all there at 7." Nodding I bid him goodbye before making my way to the elevator and head out. I still have to get home and changed before I meet Bryn and her dad there. Walking into the parking garage I unlock my truck with a feeling of determination, tonight will be great. For us and for our future. I'll make sure of it.
