Turtle Temper: Part 2

Brooke's POV:

The next morning, once we give our full report to Splinter, he scolds Raph for his temper-fueled response to the man's insults.

Splinter: "Not only did Raphael alert the Kraang, but you got caught on video."

Raph: "Sensei, he was the angriest, nastiest guy you ever met."

Mikey then leans over to Raph to give a teasing remark.

Mikey: "Except for you."

This is met with a hit on the head from Raph.

Raph: "You should've heard the insults this guy was throwing at us, especially Brooke. They were so insulting."

Splinter: "Oh, I did not realize he said mean things. Of course, you had no choice but to jeopardize our mission."

Mikey: "Burn."

Me: "Sensei, with all due respect, while his methods were unorthodox, he was only trying to defend our family's honor. Right, Raph?"

Raph turns to me with a grateful smile as he nodded.

Splinter: "You are most generous, my daughter. To defend a member of your team in this manner, but you are still ninjas. You work in the shadows, in secret, This becomes difficult if there is proof of your existence in high-definition."

Raph: "Look, we know where this guy lives. All we need to do is find him and shake him until the tape pops out."

Donnie: "Oh, there's no tape. Video phones use flash memory and..."

Raph turns to Donnie with a growl before Dad signaled for his attention. Meanwhile, I place my hand on Donnie's shoulder in reassurance.

Me: "Hey, after we take care of this, you can tell me all the details, ok? Besides, I could use another technology lesson. Who better to learn from than the master, right?"

Donnie turns to me with a grateful smile as he gave me a side hug. I don't go to school like April, so Donnie teaches me everything I need to know outside of fighting & self defense, that's Sensei's field of expertise.

Splinter: "Raphael, anger is self-destructive."

Raph looks down to the ground as he mutters his reply, his tone laced with sarcasm.

Raph: "I always thought it was others-destructive."

Me: "Who says it's not both? Anyway, Sensei, with your permission I'd like to sit out Raph's punishment. We need to figure out this guy's next move. The best way to do that is through research & planning. Donnie, can I borrow your laptop?"

Donnie & Dad both nod before Donnie runs to & from his lab to get his computer. As he hands it to me, Raph turns to me with a look of slight confusion.

Raph: "Whoa, punishment? Who says I'm still in trouble?"

Splinter: "Your sister is right, Raphael. My sons, to the dojo."

{Time skip}

Once I have enough intel, I run to the dojo's entrance before stopping in my tracks when I see the others exiting, Raph with suction cup arrows on his back.
