I Think His Name is Baxter Stockman: Part 5

Brooke's POV:

Once we give our report to Splinter, he praises Mikey for his smarts against our opponent.

Splinter: "Very resourceful, Michelangelo. But I'm still highly disappointed in you all. The first rule of being a ninja is 'Do no harm'. Unless you mean to do harm. Then do lots of harm."

Splinter turns to me with a look of disappointment.

Splinter: "And Brooke, I am very disappointed in you for your dishonesty. You have never lied to me in all my years of raising you. And now, look at the example you've set for your brothers as their leader. What's more, you did not try to stop them from leaving the lair in the first place, despite the fact that you were all grounded. A kunoichi never disobeys, or lies to, her team, her Sensei, or her family."

I lower my head in response before he continues.

Splinter: "However, you also did what you thought was right. To protect your brothers, you took a risk, despite the consequences. That, my child, is exactly why I made you a part of the team's leadership."

I smile in gratitude before Splinter turns to face the others.

Splinter: "Now, you must stop this 'Stockmanpod'."

Donnie: "But, Sensei, that guy's already kicked our shells. And now he's even more powerful. How are we supposed to stop him?"

Raph: "I know! I'll hit him really hard!"

Me: "Been there, done that. But I think I have an idea. Sensei, remember the stories you told me about the ninjas who fought the armored samurai? What was their secret?"

Splinter: "They understood that you do not fight the armor. You fight the man inside."

The brothers & I turn toward one another as we all get the same idea. Well, almost all of us.

Mikey: "Why are we all looking at each other?"

{Time skip}

Donnie, Raph, & I are all standing on a rooftop, waiting for Mikey to return with Stockman in tow.

Donnie: "Are you sure this is gonna work?"

Leo: "Like Sensei said. Don't fight the armor, fight the guy inside. And what do we know about bad guys?"

Me: "They love chasing Mikey."

We all turn to see Mikey heading toward us.

Mikey: "Guys! Stockmanpod's got missiles!"

We rush to dodge the incoming missiles, Mikey using his nunchucks to hang from a power line. Stockmanpod approaches us with an evil laugh, but we're ready for him. We each throw a chain around him, wrapping him up as Mikey had before. Leo stomps on his chain, taking two steps forward in the process. Meanwhile, the rest of us pull on the ends of each chain when Mikey approaches him with a taunting grin.

Mikey: "Now who's trembling in terror? Aah!"

Stockman suddenly breaks free of his chains, grabs Mikey by the head, and throws him through the window of a nearby building.

Donnie & I: "Mikey!"

Raph: "That's it. You're going down!"

The four of us charge at Stockman with our weapons. Raph manages to stab his sais through the suit before Stockman punches him off, throwing him into the chimney of the building on the opposite side of the roof.

Leo: "Raph!"

Leo & Donnie jump to attack Stockman before he grabs them & throws them over the roof. Before they can hit the ground, Raph grabs Leo's hands while I grab Donnie's. We pull them back onto the roof before turning toward Stockman as he stomps toward us with a menacing glare.

Stockman: "Any last words?"

Me: "Just one."

Turtles & I: "Bees."

Stockman: "Bees?"

Mikey: "Bees!"

Mikey swings in on a rope, a beehive in his left hand, and smashes the hive into Stockman's face. The bees exit the hive and swarm around Stockman, distracting him so we can get the T-pod.

Me: "Guys, the T-pod!"

One by one, we hit Stockman, causing him to fall off the roof and onto his back. Leo leaps to stand atop Stockman, his katana aimed at his face. He then moves the sword to stab through the T-pod, a red glow emitting from the suit as it shuts down. The rest of us leap forward to stand beside Leo as Stockman crawls out of the armor with a nervous smile.

Stockman: "So, we'll call it a tie?"

I smirk as I turn to Raph, knowing he won't let Stockman off that easily.

Me: "Wanna call it a tie, Raph?"

Raph looks at me with a similar smirk before turning to face Stockman with a 'tough guy' smile as he cracks his knuckles.

Raph: "Not yet."

Raph grabs Stockman and shoves him into a nearby dumpster, despite his yells of protest.

Stockman: "No! Nooo!"

Raph smirks as we walk to them with similar smiles.

Raph: "Now it's a tie."

I send Stockman a teasing wave as Raph slams the lid shut. We then high-five as we walk to the lair to report to Splinter. Once we get home, we walk to the dojo to kneel before Splinter with a respectful bow.

Splinter: "You all showed wisdom and great skill in defeating the Stockmanpod. I am proud of you all."

We give him nervous smiles, hopeful that our punishment is over.

Leo: "Does this mean we're not grounded anymore?"

Splinter strokes his beard before giving us a warm smile.

Splinter: "Yes."

We each give grateful smiles before he continues with a stern look, gripping the wooden staff in his hands.

Splinter: "But first, Randori!"

The boys rush off in terror while Splinter & I laugh at the sight. Well, I guess he and I are on good terms again. So, at least some good came out of this. I hope this is the last time Stockman becomes our problem. Now, there's just one thing that can make this night even better and possibly cheer the guys up. I glance at the guys with a reassuring smile as I walk out of the dojo into the living room & pull my T-phone out of my pocket.

Me: "Hi, is this Antonio's?-*pauses*-I'd like five large pizzas delivered. What's your policy on types and varieties of toppings?"
