Love Never Lost

Metalhead: Part 3

Brooke's POV:

April and I eventually reach an empty alley to see a Kraang-droid entering an abandoned building nearby.

April: "Ok, Krang-creep. Lead the way."

We follow the robot inside, taking cover behind wooden crates to listen to what these aliens are planning.

Kraang-Droid #1: "Is that which is the unstable mutagen ready for using in the experiment that Kraang is being ready to begin?"

Kraang-Droid 2: "The unstable mutagen will be tomorrow unleashing in the water supply."

April: "The water supply?"

Me: "Oh no."

Kraang-Droid #1: "Many infected humans will mutation. This is being a good way to perfect the mutagen to the point of perfection."

April accidentally nudges the crates, accidentally knocking over a fire extinguisher, which alerts one of the droids. So we quickly crawl to the crates across from the ones we hid behind. My mind races trying to figure out how we'll escape without being seen or heard.

April: "Think ninja. Think ninja."

We then spot an open window on the other side of the building. April gasps in relief before covering her mouth, the droid walking closer to the source of the sound. However, it suddenly seems to be distracted by something. April & I look at each other with a nod before leaping into action. I zip over to the window, sticking to the shadows like the ninja I've trained to be. Once I reach said window, I turn to see April hitting the droid in the back of its head with a metal pipe. The droid turns to her in confusion as she hits it again, sending it flying through the window.

Me: "Not bad. You might become a kunoichi yet."

She turns to me with a smile as we race to the other side of the building for a different exit. Once we're out of the building, we head towards an alley. I hear footsteps on the rooftops, thinking it to be the guys.

Me: "Guys, it's us."

Leo: "April!"

Raph: "Brooke!"

Raph checks me over before sighing in relief that I'm unharmed. We then hear a loud whistling sound. We then turn as we hear something crash & fall into a nearby dumpster. The dumpster is then knocked over from the inside to reveal a short robot resembling a turtle.

Raph: "Still, it's stealthier than the real Donatello."

April: "What the heck is that?"

My eyes widen in realization.

Me: "Don't tell me this is what Donnie built from the Kraang-droid?"

Leo: "Ladies, meet Metalhead."

Mikey: "Cool name, huh? My idea."

The robot opens its mouth to speak in Donnie's voice. Radio feedback starts going off in the background as we cover our ears.

Donnie (via Metalhead): "Oh, sorry, girls. I'm still getting used to the controls. Whoops. Megaphone button got stuck."

Me: "Guys, we've got trouble."

April: "The Kraang are gonna poison the city's water supply with mutagen!"
