Jay's POV

[Chan escaped from Capital Prison, we're still looking for his footprints right now. Four PGs are in critical condition and one is dead. I will keep you updated.]

I managed to maintain my expression despite the message I just read. It was from Major Del Rosario saying that Elijah Chan escaped. Now that four prison guards are badly injured and one dead, he just added a very fucking big bounty on his head.

Also, I am with Safirah right now so I shouldn't burst her bubble. She's talking about the game her classmates played during their second subject.

She even asked me if I am fine already since I messaged her earlier that I can't go in our classrooms today because I am not feeling well which was a lie.

It wasn't the first time that I received a very bad information but this was the first time that I lost interest in everything. It was about my bestfriend who died years ago and now alive and running away. I don't know if I am supposed to believe these things, especially the technologies nowadays. Anyone can easily copy someone's face.

But even if I haven't seen him for two years already, I watched the recorded video of the interrogation room. The way he talked.. the way he played the two using his mocking words and even the way he tilted his head.

There's a huge part in me believing that my bestfriend is still.. alive.

"And then ayon, Kuya! Our team won and my classmates thanked me kahit na may cooperation din naman sila doon!" Safirah laughed happily. My sister is always the humble type. The reason why I adore him.

"Your classmates were lucky that they had you earlier," I told her. She waved her hands in front of me while laughing softly. Totally opposing to what I said.

"I was lucky that I had them," she said and smiled. "Ang saya ng laro kanina, Kuya! Sobra! I hope that I could play something like that game again."

"You surely could play that game someday," I assured her. Safirah's Grade 8 teachers aren't that strict so they are fine for me. And I am also surprised that those Concepcions aren't bothering her anymore.

About that.

I remembered Claire's father out of a sudden. I was surprised earlier when he entered into our dorm without me noticing. He must be so skilled.

Third Person's POV

"So what do you want, sir?"

Gavin leaned and crossed his legs before he removed the magazine from his silver Desert Eagle swiftly. He put it on the circular stand in front of him before he crossed his hands.

"Just some answers my questions," Gavin told him. When he saw the I'm-not-assured expression in Jay's face, he spoke again. "I'm not here to hurt you. I'm concerned about you monitoring my daughter's movements because Del Rosario asked you to do so."

His eyes widened slightly when he heard what he said. Alam niyang Director ng OSI ang ama ni Claire pero gulat siya sa impormasyong mabilis niyang nakalap. He knew that Gavin isn't just a "Director".

Jay sat comfortably while kicking the fear inside of him out. The presence of Claire's father and the air in the room is suffocating. He was never this afraid back then. It was the first time that he got afraid.

Ama na ni Claire ang kausap niya at alam niyang mas mababantayan nila si Claire kaya nagsalita na siya. "I was monitoring her movements because Major Del Rosario tasked me to. He said that someone is after your daugher, sir."
