CONFINED
Jay's POV
I ran through the hallway and entered in a room just to see Major Del Rosario through the double-sided mirror.
The doctors there were treating his gunshot wounds carefully. Ate Azia called me earlier and told me that Major Del Rosario was shot in a covert mission last night kaya agad akong pumunta dito.
His team brought him here together with some paramedic. They said that he found something but he was cut off when he got shot. The shooter managed to ran away but the Special Forces and his team are doing what they were needed to do. Find and take.
"My Lord.. please help him.." I looked at Ate Zia when she started sobbing. Her mother scooted over to hug her and my grip on the edge of the wall tightened, feeling heavy because of what I am seeing right now.
I turned my back and sat on the sofa nearby to calm myself. Suddenly, my other phone rang so I took it from my pocket and opened it to check who was calling.
'Sergeant Vigazon is calling..'
I excused myself first before going outside the door. I, then, answered the phone call from Sarge. "Yes, Sarge?"
"Zach. We found the shooter and also the picture that Jes have seen earlier. We think, it should be him who will tell it to you," he said on the other line. My forehead creased but it faded when I realized what he said.
"Thanks, Sarge," I am actually glad that they already found the shooter and the reason why he shot Major Del Rosario. Nevertheless, what Sarge said made me curious.
"Welcome, Zach. Send our regards. Bibisita kami mamaya, we're jusy tying some loose ends here," he said before ending the call.
A sigh escaped from my mouth before entering the room again. Just when I entered, I saw the surgeon made an 'okay' sign that made me and all of us here glad and happy.
Pinauna ko na sila Ate Zia and her mother to go outside first while I opened my phone when it vibrated. Now, it was a message from Safirah.
Safirah Alonzo: hello kuya, we're hoping that Major are doing well na. send our regards and tell him to get well for us! thank you! ❤
I smiled before looking back at the operating room. Major Del Rosario was still there and I can see two bullets in a stainless steel tray beside his operating bed.
I let out a relieved sigh. "Thank God."
I excused myself to Ate Zia and her mother when the rest of Special Forces from Major's team went here. Some of them were someone I don't know and there were some that I do.
We had a long conversation before I received a text from Kuya Adam, saying that he was already there. I excused myself again before going outside.
I got home earlier than I expected. I am still wearing my tuxedo since because I ran my way to the hospital by the time Ate Zia told me that Major got shot.
Safirah and Lolo were the ones who told me that it was okay at papakuha nalang ako sa driver para makapunta nang mabilis sa hospital. I wanted to spend my time with them, more than I spent my time with them earlier.
It was 4:32 AM when Ate Zia called to tell me that he was shot. Mabuti nalang at gising ako kaya nakapunta ako agad. Major Del Rosario is one of the few people that means so much to me. Especially the Special Forces.
When I reached my room after talking with Manang and the rest, I removed my tuxedo jacket before folding vertically into two. I put it on the edge of my bed before opening my laptop.
