Chapter 17

BACK

Claire's POV

"OMMMMGGG!!!! I MISSED YOU TWO!!"

I giggled before wrapping my arms around Entice when I saw her at the front gate of Equinox. "I missed youuu!! Kamusta ka?"

"Kulang siguro 'yung nakaraang tatlong araw mo dahil wala kami," Aubrey said, confident and proud with her smirk. "How are you and Vercolo, huh? Mukhang marami kang ichi-chismis, ah."

"Well, nothing much pero.." she raised her left hand and my eyes widened when I saw a ring there. "Don't over-react yet. He said that it was his supposed-to-be gift last year sa birthday ko pero dahil 'di niya nabigay no'n, ngayon niya ginawa."

"Hala ka?!" Aubrey shrieked so I hurriedly covered her mouth using my palm. I looked around and gave the students who were looking at us an apologetic smile.

"Voice down, speaker," I told her before we passed the front gate and its metal detectors. Well, back at school again and it's a good thing that we're already in our third quarter. At least nagkaroon kami ng field trip.

"Hey," we looked at the tall guy behind us and I wasn't surprised when I smelled the familiar perfume of Zyron. "It's the first day of this week and yet you already spent your one-week energy shouting, Aubrey."

Entice and I laughed at that. We talked while walking towards our dormitory. Since the classes are not starting yet, might as well check and fix our stuffs that we left before the field trip. Paniguradong may ilang hindi ayos doon.

I was greeted by some girls inside the dormitory and I greeted them back politely. Them telling me that their male friends likes me. I'm used to it.

Not that I am bragging, maybe because I believe in Mom whenever she is telling me that I am beautiful. Of course I am confident that I am beautiful. My friends kept on saying the same every single day.

We arrived at our room and I scented the perfume inside. Lavender. I closed my eyes while smelling the air inside, it was so calming. "Seems like you kept the smell of our room, En!"

She and Aubrey laughed. "Yeah, of course, sister. Actually, I just sprayed the whole room since I forgot to do it last night. I was busy cramming."

"Tapos ka naman na?" Aubrey asked her. I put my bag on my bed and sat on the edge of it. I threw my body onto my bed and opened my arms wider. Feeling the soft and comfy mattress beneath.

"Oo naman! Madali lang. Ang hirap lang ng Mathematics, sis! Dapat pala nakinig ako nang maayos kay Miss Mendez noong thursday. God, napa-google ako nang wala sa oras!"

I laughed at that. Napatayo rin ako agad nang malamang nakadamit na pala ako. I walked towards our vanity mirror to check my uniform. I turned my body sideways to check if there was any crampled parts, good there were none. "Perfect."

These past few months, I have noticed that I was gaining height. Tumangkad ako ng ilang inches kaya napabili rin kami ng bagong school uniform.

A new and more long pwhite long-sleeved polo, a black blazer, a skirt ending inches above my knee, a red ribbon and a pair of socks ending inches above my knee.

"Ganda mo talaga, Claire. Feel ko noong bata ka marami nang nagkakagusto sayo," I laughed at what Entice said while looking at the mirror and playing with my ribbon.

"HAHAHAHA, baliw ka," I giggled. We looked up when we heard the familiar bell of our campus. I turned to grab my bag from my bed  before glancing at the mirror.

I was about to check my hair when I heard the familiar ringtone from my phone. I looked back and grabbed it from my bed before checking who's calling.
