Chapter 26

HALLUCINATIONS

Third Person's POV

"Is she fine now?"

"She's not talking after knowing everything," Doctor Borbon answered Gavin's question. "We're still taking some test regarding on her hallucinations- I'm sorry about the term."

"It's fine," Gavin crossed his arms over his chest while looking at her daughter through the window. Claire was lying on her hospital bed and she was just staring on the wall.

"For how long is she going to stay here?" Stefanie's turn to ask. "Please tell me that you can get that problem out of her system."

"We're checking the mission reports back at Middle East at the moment. We believe that this one is about the one she encountered there so we're using that as the Solution A," sagot ni Doctor Borbon.

"Which one?" Alianna asked.

Doctor Borbon handed them over a folder. "This one's a direct contact virus. This might not be something that can kill a person but it could lead there if there's enough hallucinations."

"She got that virus from a dead body?" Gavin asked after reading the file. "She probably touched some parts to check some vitals."

"Most likely, yes," Doctor Borbon nodded.

"So the virus originated from Malta," Stefanie whispered as she wandered her eyes around the file, looking for a specific place. But there was none. "No particular place?"

"None at the moment," Doctor Borbon gave them a sad smile. "Chief Commander already proposed this thing to move in JCOC. This will be a special mission in no time."

"That's good. This one should be dusted immediately so no one can experience the same thing happened to my daughter," Stefanie said. She looked at Claire and the latter was still staring on the wall.

Doctor Borbon nodded. "We'll make sure of that. As of now, we're still monitoring her for after-effects. This one's foreign and the file didn't tell much. You know, clearance."

The file the two read has some parts highlighted by black colors kaya hindi nila nabasa ang lahat. The stuffs they read were the origin of the virus, the type, where it came from, where it started and the first contact.

"My brother will let me have the full file," Stefanie said in full confidence. "I'll update you once we have everything we need, Jerry."

"I'd appreciate that."

"Please cure my sister," Alianna pleaded. "I can't lose her."

"We will do everything we can," Doctor Borbon assured them.

Gavin nodded. "As you should."

Renz laughed at Jay mockingly after telling him that he will use Jay's shirts because of its brands, he took it back immediately when Jay threatened him.

"Ma-mimiss ka namin, LT," wika ni Tommy habang malungkot na nakatingin sa duffel bag ni Jay.

He's going to the JCOC airbase HQ today for briefing at naghahanda na siya ng mga damit na gagamitin niya sa isang duffel bag. Personal things, combat gears and his personal weapons.

"Oo nga. Hindi na ulit kami matatawa," Captain Von laughed at Eddie when he said that teasingly.

Tahimik lang na nakatingin si Jay sa isang picture nilang maggru-grupo na nakalagay sa locker niya. He housed it there for years in Special Operations.
