EVENT

Claire's POV

"Please?"

For the fifth time, Harvin looked at me again before sighing. "Fine."

"NICE!" I jumped in glee and victory when, at last, he approved. Pupunta kasi siya sa Phoenix building dahil nga kikitain niya na sila Jaja at Ryle doon.

Ayaw niya nga akong isama because he told me that I should prepare everything for tonight's event. Ngayon na kasi 'yon at naghahanda na rin sila sa Phoenix. Meeting and all.

Nakahanda na naman 'yung mga gagamit ko mamayang gabi at 'yung mga susuotin ko. The dress Mom suggested was a white off-shoulder evening gown.

Another reason why I wanted to go with him is I wanted to see Mommy. Ang duga nga niya dahil trainee na siya sa OSI, tapos member pa siya ng Private Protection Department ng Phoenix.

I want to surprise Mommy too. And I know that I can't call her right now because she is busy. Ang daming nangyayari sa bansa ngayon lalo na ang mga Enhanced.

"It's your first time there, right?" he asked me and I nodded. Today will be my first time there dahil bibihira lang ang mga hindi officers or members na pupumunta doon.

"Yes, why?" I asked him. Nang may maalala ay nagsalita ulit ako. "Oh, if this topic is about the ID, I have one!"

"What?" his forehead creased. "Since when?"

"Ah, Mom made one for me. Hindi mo alam?" I asked. I remember that he was in a field trip when Mom made me an ID because Ryle and Jaja forced him to.

"Good," he nodded before standing up. "Get dress. We will leave in five."

I laughed on how he tells the time. It was always like that. Nasanay na siguro siya sa ganoon dahil isang taon na rin siya sa Phoenix.

If you will ask if me takot ba ako tuwing may mission siyang ginagawa, of course yes! He told me that I didn't need to be scared because he trusts Ryle and Jaja more than his life whenever they are in a mission. Pero of course, kahit sabihin niya 'yon matatakot pa rin ako.

Harvin barely gets a scratch, gunshot wound or stab because his fighting skills are actually incredible. A general once noticed his skills and told him to join Philippine Army once na tumanda na siya.

I ran upstairs because of excitement and took a bath. I chose a loose stripe female polo shirt with long sleeves and a high-waisted jeans. I rolled the sleeves above my elbow and left two of the polo buttons unbuttoned.

I wore the watch Mom gave me and the necklace Harvin gave me. Then, I put the two sides of my curly hair in front before taking my phone and purse.

".. yeah, we're on our way,"

I saw Harvin put his phone back on his pocket when I reached the last level of our stairs. He noticed my presence easily so he looked at me before smirking. Napakunot tuloy ang noo ko.

"Why? Pangit ba?" I asked consciously.

"No. You will surely attract a lot of attention there,"

I moved the visor of my helmet upwards when we entered at the headquarters of Phoenix here in upstate Capital. Harvin was right. It has multiple buildings and I am seeing a lot of trainees doing their training.

And like what he said, the building count is seven but he didn't tell me what's inside since it is classified which I understand. The whole platform also has a river on its right side and I can see some vehicles for water there.
