Chapter 30

WAIT, YOUR WHAT?

Third Person's POV

"Team 1 commencing."

Claire, Zy and Aubrey started to roam around Grigor Lee's room to look for any file that could help them follow Grigor Lee who managed to escape during the operation earlier.

However, they took hold of the materials they were creating and it turned out to be lots of nuclear materials for crafting a functional nuclear weapon.

Napatigil si Claire nang mapansin ang isang reflection ng isang sobrang liit na ilaw sa metallic side ng knee cap niya. It was blinking.

She placed the folder on the desk first before turning her back. She walked towards the fireplace and crouched again to check if there were some secret in there.

Napakunot ang noo niya nang biglang bumilis ang pagkurap ng pulang ilaw na nanggagaling sa loob. Slowly, she stood up and tapped her earpiece.

Taking steps backwards, she spoke. "This is Amethyst. There's a possible detonation in the office. Clear out everyone out."

That got Zy and Aubrey's attention. They grabbed the files and put all of it in a case before calling Claire. "Come on!"

Claire grabbed the folder on the desk before she slid over the desk. She ran towards the two before pulling them with her. "Clear out!"

Pero bago pa man sila makalabas ng pinto ay sumabog na ang mga bomba.

Claire's POV

I opened my eyes slowly as I groaned after feeling the dizziness in my head. I felt the hot sensation of the flames just beside me but I shook it off. I needed to find the two.

I stood up catching my head but the everything around me was whirling that it sent me down again. I put my weight to my arms before shaking my head again. Damn it, ayaw mawala.

I was about to tap my earpiece but my right ear was empty. I looked around to look for it so I could tell them where I am but I couldn't find it. "Shit.."

With all of my strength, I stood up again. Kailangan kong hanapin sila Zy. Kasama ko sila bago sumabog kaya paniguradong hindi sila nalalayo.

I had to withstand the hot flames around me and also the suffocating smoke around. I coughed again when I felt my chest tightening before I swayed my hand in front of my head to clear the way. It's getting foggy. Damn Grigor.

"ZY! BREY!" I yelled.

"Here!"

I looked at my side when I heard Aubrey's voice. I ran there as my heart tripled its beat when I saw Zy under a large rubble of concrete fragment.

I helped Aubrey right away to move the rubbles off Zy. I looked at him and he was unconscious. I couldn't help but ask. "Why is he under?"

"I don't know.. we were looking for you when the concrete up top collapsed and then he pushed me," she explained. "I'm sorry.."

"Don't be," I told her. We helped each other to move the largest rubble trapping Zy before Aubrey kneeled to check for his pulse while I examined his body if there were deep wounds.

I sighed in relief when I found none in front. I just can't move him, something might gone wrong. I'm hoping that there's none.

"He's got a pulse," agad kong tinulungan si Aubrey nang napaupo siya. She was blaming herself.
