THE FAMILY DINNER

Jay's POV

"He's already in custody but he's not talking, again,"

"Thanks for the update, Major," I told him sincerely before he ended the call after saying to call him if I need someone. In fact, I don't feel anything aside from being satisfied. Not guilty, just satisfied.

Satisfied that Elijah is already in custody.

After what happened last night, I went back there at the dormitory. It was already lights out and I was surprised that my dormmates were not there that time.

My clothes were wet and dirty because of the fight last night so I put some coffee on it on purpose for my alibi. Ipapalaundry ko naman 'to sa Laundry Section ng building mamaya.

I will go attend my classes today para hindi na matanong ng teachers. They will surely visit our room to ask me why I am not attending my classes. Besides, I don't have any more business aside from protecting Claire.

Major Del Rosario told me that the threat is still there kaya hindi pa ako kampante. He said that the group that is behind her back is filled with members who has a big anger towards her parents.

It's already common in the agent world and even in private orgs but still, Claire is not a very-well trained teenager like his brother. Yes, she can beat someone in this school in a badass way but those men are not just "someone". Major said they are skilled enough.

When the bell rang, I went outside the bathroom. Just in time. I took the towel to cover my lower part and let my messy dry hair to stay on its place. Jon and Drick were already done taking a bath kaya nagpaalam na sila sa akin bago lumabas saktong paglabas ko.

I just gave them a nod and Jon a laugh when he whistled after seeing my naked torso. I went towards my bed to wear my school uniform and after that, I took my bag and phone after locking the door.

I walked my way to the girls dorm and Safirah isn't here yet. Our last conversation was last night before she slept. She will always call me to say good night and that I should pray before sleeping which I did.

"Kuya!"

I looked at the entrance when I heard my sister. She was running towards my direction before while smiling widely. "Hey. Good morning."

"Good talaga ang morning, Kuya! Ate Claire and I had a talk earlier sa gym!" she said and my forehead creased. She seemed so jolly and so happy about that, huh?

"Oh, how did it go?" I asked her while we are walking towards the junior her building. Mukhang nagiging close na sila ni Claire, ah? That's good. She needs a friend who is soft and caring, para nababalik sa kaniya ang ginagawa niya sa lahat.

"She said that she wants to thank you!" Safirah told me and even jumped, turned her body again and again. "Kinikilig akooo! Paano kung crush ka niya, Kuya?"

I shook my head. Even if she won't say it, I can tell that she's distancing herself from boys. It's easy to read some people who has no knowledge of hiding something. "I don't think so."

"Pero gusto ka raw talaga niyang makausap, Kuya. Sa Quadrangle raw mamayang lunch. Puntahan mo!" she moved in front of me, held my hand and made a puppy face. "Pleaseee? Hindi ka na lugi doon! Ganda na ni Ate Claire!"

Yes, she is an indeed beauty. Long wavy brown hair, brown eyes, white skin and shining skin and a red lips. She is not a woman nor a lady yet but she managed to get that hour-glass body figure already.

Kung hindi ko lang nalaman na anak siya ng isang agency director at isang private organization head ay paniguradong free-lance model pa rin ang tingin ko sa kaniya.
