Will dodged Jack's sword quickly. James took the chance and swung at Jack who easily blocked.
"Boys! What are you doing!?" Abigail exclaimed. She was ignored by the sounds of swords clanking. As the boys were distracted Isobel took the chance and jetted off into the jungle.
"Isobel!" Tempest exclaimed and chased after her.
"William stop it!" Abigail yelled angrily. Jack watched Isobel and Tempest run off so he quickly followed leading James to do the same.
"Guard the chest!" Will exclaimed and charged after the others.
"Excuse me!?" Abigail screeched. As her fiance disappeared into the jungle.
"Abigail....." Elizabeth grasped her sisters sleeve and pointed a shaky finger at the crashing waves. Abigail looked back and saw monstrous looking pirates walking out of thr water with swords out.
"Oh no." She muttered. Elizabeth reached down and grabbed the chest. They ran off into the woods with the pirates behind them.
Isobel ran through the woods the sound of clanking metal behind her. She reached a clearing and saw a large stone bell tower with a water wheel. She quickly rushed towards it. Tempest was close behind her but her foot got caught in a tree root. She fell and felt her ankle pop. The boys all ran past her towards the bell tower.
"Thanks for the help!" She yelled angrily as she carefully pulled herself up. The boys paid her no mind as they entered the bell tower. She hobbled after them.
Isobel rushed up the stone steps the sounds of metal on metal grew louder and louder as she got higher. It was echoing off the walls. She reached the top and made her way out one of the windows onto a small ledge.
"Isobel what are you doing!?" James exclaimed as he made it up. He quickly blocked a swing from Will. She rolled her eyes and continued to climb down. James climbed after her only to have Jack grab his coat sleeve making him slip. He pulled Jack down with him as they slid down closer to the water wheel. Will jumped down after them.
Tempest was getting closer to the tower when she heard a loud Crack. The boys had jumped on the wheel and it broke. It started rolling away from the tower.
"Seriously?" She muttered out of breath. She quickly turned to follow it into the jungle. "Im going to kill them all." She grumbled.
Isobels feet carefully hit the ground and she ran into the jungle back towards the beach. Her heart hammered in her chest.
Abigail and Elizabeth rushed through the jungle pirates were close behind them but not close enough to kill them.
"We can't let them get the chest!" Abigail exclaimed Elizabeth nodded in agreement.
"Throw it to the side and keep running." Elizabeth suggested. Abigail tossed the chest to the side and continued running alongside her sister. The pirates chased after them without a clue that the chest was gone.
"We need to get back to the beach!" Abigail belted out as she tried to keep running her boots were too big so it was causing issues.
Isobel heard Abigail yelling so she rushed towards the sound. As she ran she tripped over something hard and fell on her stomach with a thud. She groaned in pain and rolled over onto her back. She looked at what caused her to trip and gulped when she saw the chest.
Yelling could br heard from all sides of the island. She carefully reached for the chest but heard a branch snap behind her. She quickly rolled out of the way and a sword barely missed her head. The pirate had a shark head. She stared in horror. He swung his sword again she grabbed a small log and used it to block the swing.
He kept swinging his large sword into the log splitting it in half. She backed away now noticing she left her sword by the boat on the beach. She mentally screamed at herself. He raised his sword to strike her down but another sword was plunged through his chest sending him to the ground.
"I swear I've saved your life at least 15 times." Jack muttered sarcastically. She tried to make a run for it but he grabbed her arm. "Open the chest. Now." He instructed, his sword was still out. "I don't want to hurt you love, but I will." His face held a foreign look of seriousness so she slowly reached for the small chest.
When her fingers touched it the lock moved and fell to the ground. She quickly pulled her hand back so Jack took the opportunity to open it. She stared in disgust at the beating heart that sat inside.
"Thats repulsive." She muttered. He shrugged and pulled the heart out stuffing it inside his shirt. She held back her gags as she watched.
"We need to go back to the beach." He stood up. "We can take the boat back to the Pearl and leave everyone else. It's a lovely island they'll do fine." She glared at him from her spot on the ground.
"Im not going anywhere with you, not without the others." She stated firmly. He groaned.
"I used to find your stubborn attitude and spunk alluring but now it's just getting on my nerves." He mumbled and pulled her to her feet. "Grab the chest, we can use it as a diversion." She shook her head. He groaned and bent down to pick up the chest. When he did she shoved him to the ground and took off running. As she ran she heard crunching and had to dive out of the way of the wheel rolling toward the beach.
"What on earth.....?" She mumbled when she saw James and Will fighting inside the spinning wooden wheel. Tempest limped towards her following the wheel.
"What, never seen a rolling wheel with full grown children fighting in it before?" Tempest grumbled with a grumpy look on her face.
"I can't say that I have." Isobel muttered and watched the wheel crash jnto the water.
"Theyre all idiots." Tempest hissed as she continued to limp towards the beach. Isobel wrapped an arm around her to help her walk. Once they got out of the jungle they saw James and Will stumbling out of the water and Jack fighting off one of Jones pirates.
"Where are Abigail and Elizabeth?" Isobel asked. Soon enough they came blundering out of the woods with a whole pack of pirates behind them.
Tempest pulled out her sword and pulled away from Isobel. She limped through the sand towards the fight. Isobel hot on her trail. She grabbed a rock out of the sand and threw it at a pirate. The pirate fell to the ground.
Everyone gathered around the boat fighting side by side but more pirates kept coming from all directions. James looked into the boat and saw the chest. He took a chance while everyone was fighting to open the now unlocked chest to find it empty. The boat was full of dirt so he looked over to Jack's jar to notice it had something in it. He glanced back at Isobel who was now fighting with an oar and sighed.
"We're not going to get out of this." Elizabeth breathed out as she fought.
"Speak for yourself!" Jack exclaimed.
"No, she's right. You need a diversion." James spoke. He held the chest in his arms. Isobel stared at him in shock.
"James, no......" she tried to reason but he yelled and took off away from the boat. The pirates saw the chest and took oof after him. "James!!!!" Isobel screamed.
"Im going after him!" Tempest held her sword tightly.
"I can't let you do that." Jack's voice spoke. She felt pain in the back of her head then everything went dark.
