Sector 51

Episode 7: Deathstalker

We open up with a shot of a scorpion-shaped starship entering Earth's atmosphere, inside the cockpit is a scorpion-like alien named Aculeus, who looks at a holographic photo of his dead sister holding her infant son, saying "Don't worry Buthida, I promise I will protect your son... by returning him to his people". We then cut to the streets of Alien town where we are introduced to the character of Johnny, a Human/alien hybrid with a scorpion tail, running from a gang of alien teenagers who are trying to kill him, their leader shouting "HEY! it's that dirty half-breed! Get him!" Only for Johnny to knock them out one by one with his tail, the gang leader (a purple one-eyed alien named Bogsy) puts Johnny in a chokehold holding a knife up to his neck, telling him "nowhere to run now, half-breed". Johnny asks him "whatever did I do to you?" Bogsy tells him "You know very well humans aren't welcome here in Alien town, and that goes for half-human freaks like you too" only for Johnny to hear a voice shouting "Hey! Why don't you pick on someone your own size!" Followed by Lena making her entrance, pulling down her hood revealing herself to the alien street gang. Bogsy is like "Oh great, another half-breed!" Followed by Lena activating her fist constructs, saying "Yeah, I get that a lot". Followed by Lena punching Bogsy in his eye forcing him and his gang to retreat. Lena helps Johnny back up, telling her "thanks for the save, didn't know there were other starchildren like me" followed by Lena telling him "me neither, I thought I was the only one. my name's Lena" followed by Johnny shaking hands with her, saying "Name's Johnny, but you can call me Deathstalker" in a flirtatious manner which makes Lena chuckle, only for to Agent Delta to radio Lena telling her to return to base, followed by Johnny running off much to the confusion of Lena. After that, we cut back to Sector 51 HQ where Lena tells Alex "you won't believe what just happened to me today" Followed by Alex asking her what it is. Lena tells him "I just met another starchild" Alex looks at her in confusion, saying "another starchild? You mean there are other human/alien hybrids like you out there?" Lena tells him "I know right! I thought I was the only one, you won't believe what he's like. He's tall, dark, brooding, totally handsome, and he's got this cool scorpion tail that he used to fight off these alien delinquents with" Delta overhears Lena's conversation with Alex and is shocked to hear about a kid with a scorpion tail, saying "I can't believe it, after being gone for all these years you finally decide to show yourself again" pulling an old photo out of his pocket of Delta holding a five-year-old Johnny. After that, we cut back to Johnny returning to his hideout in the slums of alien town to work on his motorcycle, his scorpion tail now wrapped around his waist like a belt. Johnny then hears a loud whirring noise, like that of a starship engine, coming from outside. He then steps outside the building to see the Scorpion-shaped starship from earlier land just outside Johnny's hideout followed by Aculeus stepping out of the ship to greet Johnny, Aculeus saying "so you're Buthida's kid, aren't you?" Johnny clenches his fists and gets in a battle stance while he uncurls his tail, asking him "how do you know my mother?" Followed by Aculeus introducing himself, saying "I'm her brother, name's Aculeus. Nice to finally meet you, nephew. My condolences, of course" Johnny then asks his uncle "what is it that you want from me?" Aculeus then tells Johnny "I'm here to take you home" Johnny then tells him "what are you talking about? this is my home, I was born and raised here" followed by Aculeus saying "I mean your real home! Kalhara, the birthplace of our people!" Johnny tells Aculeus "well you can forget it, because I'm not leaving this planet" followed by Johnny swinging his tail at Aculeus who catches it with his bare hand, saying "I'm sorry kid, but it's for your own good" only for Johnny to step on Aculeus's foot causing him to let go of his tail before hopping on his motorcycle and driving off, Aculeus shouting "you can't run forever, nephew!" We then cut back to Sector 51 HQ where we see Lena playing with Poochie while Lena sees Delta walking past her while acting like he's hiding something, Lena finding Delta suspicious saying "come on Poochie" as the two secretly follow Delta who enters the communication room to talk to Alpha. Delta informs alpha that Lena has "found the other one", saying that Deathstalker is alive. Alpha is troubled by this, saying that it's been 10 years since their previous secret weapon went rogue and ran away, Lena shocked to learn that Johnny was Sector 51's secret weapon before her. Lena then teleports away before we cut to Johnny riding through the Nevada desert on his motorcycle only for Lena to teleport in front of him forcing Johnny to stop his motorcycle in front of her, Johnny asking Lena how she got here. Lena gets up and tells him "I teleported" followed by Aculeus's ship hovering over Johnny and Lena, with Lena asking "what's that?" Followed by Johnny telling him "that's my uncle he's chasing after me because he wants to take me off this rock to go live with him on Kalhara, the home planet of my mom's species" followed by the ship opening fire on the two with Johnny telling Lena to hold on as the two hop on Johnny's motorcycle with Johnny telling Lena to hold on before swerving out of the way of the laser blasts, followed by Lena activating her force field to protect Johnny from the incoming fire, Johnny contemplating Lena saying "That's a neat trick you got there" with Lena telling him "thanks". Aculeus then leaps out of the ship and lands onto the ground causing a shockwave that knocks both Lena and Johnny over, Aculeus saying "Well well well, it looks like my nephew has a new girlfriend" with Lena saying "excuse me?" followed by Johnny telling Aculeus "Back off Aculeus, I'm not going with you to Kalhara and that's final" Aculeus tells Johnny "You don't understand nephew, it isn't safe for you on this mudball! you belong with your own kind, it's for your own protection" with Johnny uncurling his tail, saying "And you think the Sasorians would just accept me as one of their own? news flash uncle, I'm half-human, the people of Kalhara would treat me with just as much prejudice as the people of Earth. I'm an outcast on both worlds, so I'll pass" followed by Aculeus grabbing Lena by the shirt and holding the venomous barb of his tail up to her neck, saying "I'm not giving you a choice. if you refuse to come with me, then she dies!" Johnny then smacks his uncle upside the head with his tail causing him to drop Lena followed by Johnny grabbing her hand and running, Johnny telling Lena that he knows a place that they can be safe, asking Lena if she can teleport them there. Lena tells him "I'll try" and teleports herself and Johnny to Johnny's hideout in Alien town, the exhausted Lena exclaiming "phew, that was a close one". Johnny tells Lena "welcome to my place. sure it's a bit of a fixer upper, but what can you do when you're a teenage orphan living by himself" Lena looks at Johnny, exclaiming "you're an orphan?" Followed by Johnny telling her "yeah, my mom died when I was really young, which is what led to me being taken in and raised by Sector 51" followed by Lena telling Johnny "At least you had memories of your mom, I never knew my parents" before asking Johnny why he left Sector 51. Johnny then tells her "It's because of them I didn't have a normal childhood, they never let me be a kid, instead they kept me locked up in their little government compound. to them I was an asset, a weapon to be used against their enemies, rather than the lonely and confused child I was". Lena then begins to feel sorry for Johnny, telling him "I know that feeling all too well". Johnny holds Lena's hand, telling her "Then let's be runaways together, leave Sector 51 and stay with me" followed by Lena's communicator going off, with Delta's voice shouting "Lena? Lena? Where are you?" causing Johnny to take a step back while Lena desperately tries to shut her communicator off. we then see a platoon of Sector 51 soldiers barge into Johnny's hideout, pointing their guns at the human/sasorian hybrid as he raises his tail, Commander Epsilon saying "good to see you again Deathstalker, it's been a while". Johnny gets mad at Lena, shouting "You led them right to me!" Lena tries to calm him down, saying "It's not what you think, I didn't know my communicator was still on! Delta wanted me to keep it with me at all times so he wouldn't lose track of me" Johnny then tells her "Yeah, that sounds like the Delta I remember" followed by Johnny slapping Lena with his tail knocking her onto the wall, telling her "That was for betraying me" only for Johnny to suddenly get tasered by Sector 51 agents knocking him out cold before being put in handcuffs. Lena gets up and tells Commander Epsilon not to hurt him, and Epsilon tells her "Don't worry, he'll be safe with us. we'll keep him nice and comfy in a cell until his uncle arrives to pick him up. We then cut to Johnny waking up in his cell where he's greeted by Delta on the other side of the energy barrier, Delta telling him "nice to see you alive and well, son". Johnny then tells Delta "stop calling me that, you're not my real dad!" Delta sighs, telling Johnny "This isn't how I wanted us to see each other again after all these years, but given the dire circumstances we had no other choice. your uncle blackmailed us, he threatened to kill us if we didn't deliver you to him". Johnny then retaliates saying "And you're just gonna do what he says?" Delta tells Johnny "Don't hold this against me, I still love you like any father would his son". Johnny crosses his arms, telling Delta "I have a hard time believing that when you replaced me with another half-alien kid as your new secret weapon after I left". Delta tells him "Lena wasn't meant to be your replacement, you can be mad at us as much as you want but your uncle wants what's best for you and the sooner you understand that the better". as Delta leaves the room walking past several alien prisoners, Delta contacts Aculeus informing him that they have Johnny. Aculeus tells him "Good, I'll be here to pick him up shortly". meanwhile Lena looks at Johnny sulking in his cell and begins to feel sorry for him, turning her head to commander Epsilon asking him "how could you do this to him? you're awful!" Epsilon tells her "he's dangerous". Lena tells Epislon "He's not dangerous, he just wants to be left alone and you and your troops come in and incarcerate him! who's the bad guy here?" Epsilon tells her "A young Sasorian's venom is far more deadly than that of an adult. when he was just a kid, he had one of his little tantrums and stung several of my men with that tail of his. they all ended up dead, that was the last thing the brat did before he ran away. this starchild was a natural-born killer before he could even walk". Lena begins to shed a tear and walks toward Johnny's cell, Johnny telling Lena "Go away, It's because of you I'm stuck in this predicament". Lena tells him "I understand you're mad at Delta Johnny, but the Sector 51 you left all those years ago isn't the same Sector 51 it is today. they let me leave the base and hang out with my best friend Alex from time to time, among other things that normal kids do". Johnny tells her "then I guess they must love you so much for being their loyal soldier, tell me: do they reward you with a gold star every time you help them apprehend alien fugitives?" in a sarcastic manner. Lena frustrated with Johnny asks him "So is it true that you killed a bunch of Sector 51 agents when you were a kid?" Johnny decides to come clean and tells her "It is true, but I didn't want to hurt them, but the voice in my head made me do it". Lena asks Johnny what he's talking about, and Johnny tells her "when I was a kid, I always had these moments where I heard a voice in my head, almost like someone was communicating with me telepathically". Lena tells him "did you say telepathy? that's something I can do!". Johnny tells her "well it obviously wasn't you, but the voice in my head told me that Sector 51 was not to be trusted and to leave which lead to me sneaking out at night, as a kid being cooped up in that compound with no friends or sunlight who could blame me for believing him. but then I was confronted by Commander Epsilon and his troops. he told me to get back inside, however the voice in my head told me to kill them all. I was scared, which is why I did what he said and attacked the soldiers. the voice in my head called himself... Eterius". Lena is shocked to hear that name again, having flashbacks to the episode "Friends of Earth" when the leader of the FOE mentioned the name Eterius, Lena saying "oh no". We then cut to Aculeus's ship landing in the vehicle hangar of Sector 51 HQ, the LGMs all trembling in fear of the scorpion-like alien's intimidating appearance. Delta shakes hands with Aculeus, saying that it's nice to make his acquaintance. Aculeus asks Delta where his nephew is, and Delta tells him that he's currently being held in a cell in their base's alien prison. Lena overhears their conversation and warns Johnny that his uncle's here, but assures him that she'll find a way to help him escape before running off, hiding behind the door to her room as soon as she sees Aculeus walking down the hallway. we then cut to Commander Epsilon guarding Johnny's cell followed by Aculeus entering the prison, looking down at the imprisoned Johnny, telling him "look at yourself nephew, instead of living on Kalhara as a proud member of the Sasorian species you choose to spend your life on Earth as a delinquent, and you wonder why you're stuck here rotting in a cell. is this really what Buthida would have wanted?" Johnny then starts banging on his cell, shouting "YOU KEEP MY MOTHER'S NAME OUT OF HER MOUTH!" meanwhile Poochie suddenly shows up to bite Commander Epsilon on the butt causing him to drop the keycard to Johnny's cell. Lena then uses her telekinesis to pull the card into her hand, Aculeus turning his attention to Lena saying "hey I remember you, you're Johnny's little lady friend aren't you" while cracking his knuckles. Johnny shouts "Lena run!" followed by Lena activating her sword construct and swinging it at Aculeus's head only for Aculeus to catch the blade with his bare hands, saying "You fight like a girl" before shattering her sword construct. Poochie then opens his mouth causing Aculeus to be caught in the gravitational pull of the alien dog's black hole mouth allowing Lena to escape and swipe the key card to free Johnny from his cell, Johnny thanking Lena for freeing him. Aculeus manages to free himself from the black hole's gravitational pull by kicking Poochie knocking the poor pupper into the wall followed by Lena activating her fist constructs, telling him "You'll pay for that!" as she and Johnny both surround him. Aculeus laughs at Lena's fist constructs, saying "two can play at that game" followed by a pair of scorpion pincers sprouting from his back. Lena looks at Johnny, asking him "can you do that?" Followed by Johnny saying "No, I'm half-human remember!" Lena then repeatedly punches Aculeus with her fist energy constructs, only for Aculeus to block each of her punches with his pincers. Aculeus then picks up Lena by both arms with his pincers causing Lena to scream in pain as her fist constructs shatter, Aculeus telling her "this doesn't concern you, girl. My business is with my nephew". Johnny then charges at his uncle only for Aculeus to smack Johnny with his tail knocking him into the wall, Lena shouting "Johnny!" Only for Agent Delta to show up and point his laser pistols at Aculeus along with Epsilon and his troops, Delta telling him "our deal's off, Aculeus. Now let her go". Aculeus then drops Lena, followed by Epsilon ordering his men to fire. The laser fire does little damage to Aculeus's hard exoskeleton as he starts picking up and throwing Sector 51 agents with his pincers while also attacking them from behind several of them with his venomous stinging tail. Delta dodges both Aculeus's claws and tail, pelting him with a barrage of laser blasts with his twin pistols followed by Lena sneaking from behind and slicing off Aculeus's pincers with her sword construct. as Aculeus screams in pain, he is suddenly silenced and falls to both Lena and Delta's feet, revealing that none other than Johnny stung his uncle in the back with his tail, Johnny telling our heroes "he's not dead, I only hit him with a very small dose of the venom in my tail, enough to make him unconscious. It'd be wise for you to lock him up before he wakes up" before walking away. Lena asks Johnny "where are you going? You can stay with us at Sector 51, be part of a family again". Johnny tells her "sorry little lady, but Deathstalker flies solo. I go wherever the wind takes me, but that doesn't mean I can't leave you with a parting gift" followed by Johnny kissing Lena on the lips catching her by surprise, Much to the shock of Agent Delta. But before he can get angry at Johnny for seducing Lena, he notices that Johnny has disappeared. We then cut to Aculeus being thrown in a prison cell by Sector 51 personnel before we cut to Johnny returning to his old hideout in alien town to fix up his now busted-up motorcycle. Once he's done he wraps his tail around his waist and puts his helmet on before hopping on his newly-refurbished motorcycle and our episode ends on a shot of Johnny riding off into the desert sunset.
