Episode 10: Coming of the Zodiacs, part 2

Our episode opens up with a recap of the events of the previous episode "coming of the zodiacs, part 1" before we jump into the main storyline. We then cut to a meeting between the Council of Planets, where we see Alpha (still concealed in shadows) discussing with the other members of the council about the return of the Zodiacs, saying that Sector 51 has dealt with them before, saying that 15 years ago Agent Delta rescued a young woman who had been abducted by the Zodiacs which led to their leader Eterius being brought to justice and incarcerated on an off-world prison governed by Sector 42 of the Alzatrac system. However it seems that he has escaped with help from his underlings, and has now abducted Senator Pierce, saying "we at Sector 51 have reason to believe that the Zodiacs plan are holding the Senator for ransom, as a means to get the governments of Earth to surrender". After that, we cut back to Sector 51 HQ where we Alex and Johnny enter Lena's room, only for Alex to turn on the TV where the three teens witness a broadcasted message by Eterius with the captive Senator Pierce who says "Leaders of Planet Earth, we have come in peace. If you surrender your planet to the Zodiacs, we will spare the senator's life. If you resist, then he dies" all the while world leaders of the UN watch the broadcasted message as the Nibiru hovers above Washington, DC. Even Joe and the alien patrons of Joe's diner catch the broadcast, with Joe saying "Y'know, I still don't like Sector 51 or humans in general, but I seriously hope they stop that lunatic once and for all, he's seriously gone off the deep end". Meanwhile back at HQ Lena turns off the TV followed by Alex saying "I vote we rescue the Senator". Lena says "Heck no! That guy's an alien-hating jerk! The Zodiacs can have him for all I care" Followed by Johnny saying "let the ginger kid speak, Lena" followed by Alex telling her "you may not like him, but that does not mean his life matters less". Alex lock and load, putting on some Sector 51 gear including a bulletproof vest along with one of their high-tech laser guns which he places into a holster strapped to his leg while Lena lets Poochie ride in her backpack, Johnny asking "why are we bringing the dog with us?" Followed by Lena saying "his black hole may come in handy". As the trio of Lena, Alex, and Johnny get ready to hop on Johnny's motorcycle, Delta shows up on crutches to ask the three teens "where do you kids think you're going?" followed by Lena saying "We're going to stop the Zodiacs" and Alex saying "and rescue Senator Pierce". Delta tells them "Look at me. I can barely walk, you think the Zodiacs are going to go easy on you just because you're children? they're ruthless, and they won't hesitate to kill you. take my word for it, because I fought them once before. 15 years ago, before you were born" all the while Johnny hears the voice of Eterius in his head saying "Bring the girl to me" before turning his head to Lena telling her "Come on, we need to go if we are to stop Eterius". Lena looks at Delta who tells her to stay safe before she and Alex hop on Johnny's motorcycle and leave while Delta watches on. An LGM walks into the room and tells Delta "hey Delta, Alpha needs to talk to you. it's urgent". Delta tries to limp towards the communication room but falls over followed by the LGMs all rushing in to carry the poor guy into the communication room and helping him back up on his crutches. Alpha's screen extends from the ceiling of the communication room and tells Delta "Commander Epsilon told me everything about your recent skirmish from the Zodiacs. with Sector 51's best men incapacitated, Earth's last line of defense has been compromised. In these dire circumstances, the Council of Planets have agreed to pitch in and will be sending in troops from the other interplanetary sectors to Earth and help you take down Eterius once and for all, the reinforcements will be arriving soon". Delta then says "That's not what I'm worried about, Alpha. the kids have stubbornly gone off on their own to fight the zodiacs, they're in way over their heads". Alpha tells Delta "Agreed. does the starchild know the truth about her connection to Eterius?" Delta tells him "No. which is why the thought of her encountering the Zodiacs worries me, especially since she's with Johnny. that kid is nothing but trouble". after that, we cut to the teenage trio arriving in Johnny's hideout in Alien Town, while Lena takes Poochie out of her backpack and gets her alien doggo situated by letting him lay on Johnny's couch and gives him a couple belly rubs. Alex then asks Johnny "What are we doing in Alien Town? in case you haven't noticed Scorpion boy, I'm a full-blooded human, and the citizens of Alien Town don't take too kindly to humans" Johnny tells Alex "You'll be fine as long as we stay here and stay hidden until the Zodiacs come. in the mean time, we can kick back and relax" as he walks up to Lena and is about to kiss her on the lips in front of a very heartbroken Alex while Poochie growls at the scorpion-tailed starchild only for Lena to stop Johnny by putting her finger on his lips, asking him "what do you mean by until the zodiacs come? what's going on Johnny?" followed by Johnny kissing Lena on the lips to shut her up breaking Alex's heart. Alex notices Johnny uncurling the scorpion tail from his waist ready to strike Lena, followed by Alex shouting "Lena look out!" and whips out his blaster and shoots at Johhny who dodges the laser blasts and attacks with his tail causing Alex to be stung knocking him out cold. Lena shouts "Alex NO!" and tries to wake him up, only for her to get no response. Poochie opens his black hole mouth causing Johnny to get caught in the gravitational pull of Poochie's black hole stomach only for Johnny to swat Poochie away with his tail to stop himself from getting sucked in all the while Lena is busy crying over Alex's unconscious body, Asking Johnny "What have you done?" Johnny tells her "Relax, I only struck him with a small dose of venom like I did to my uncle. he's not dead, just unconscious. you must understand Lena that there has been a change of plans, Eterius has requested your presence and I intend to deliver you to him in one piece". Lena gets angry and activates her fist constructs, shouting "YOU TRAITOR!" as she tries to punch him in the face only for Johnny to stop her by grabbing her by the arm with his tail and swinging her around knocking her into the walls of the hideout repeatedly before letting her go, Lena saying "you and the zodiacs won't get away with this..." followed by Johnny saying "Too late, with the senator as our captive we already have. and you can call me Scorpio" before stinging Lena with his tail knocking her out cold while Poochie escapes unnoticed. we then see the transport pod from part 1 land in front of Johnny's hideout and out step Taurus, Pisces, and Cancer, Pisces telling Johnny "good to see you again, Scorpio. I assume you have that intel you've collected from Sector 51 that the boss wanted". Johnny tells her "Indeed, and I picked up a couple extra prizes along the way" Taurus crosses his arms, telling Scorpio "I'm impressed, I thought you had gone soft after spending so much time with them. Johnny/Scorpio tells Taurus "I'm still a loyal Zodiac, Taurus. be careful with the girl, okay? Sagittarius has taken a keen interest in her so I'd prefer to not deliver him damaged goods. speaking of which, where is the big boss?" Cancer then tells him "He's busy keeping his eye on the captive senator aboard the Nibiru, once he gets the leaders of Earth comply he'll dispose of Pierce along with the rest of the xenophobes in charge of this mudball" with Pisces playfully taunting Cancer saying "better watch your back Cancer, I think Scorpio might be looking to take your position on the team" followed by Cancer getting angry and telling Johhny "Be grateful he decided to take you in half-breed, disappoint him and you'll be rotting in the ground with your mother" snapping his big claw at Johnny's face followed by Johnny whipping the crab-like alien with his tail making him take a step back, Johnny telling Cancer "don't mention my mother again" while giving him the death stare before boarding the transport pod with Taurus carrying the unconscious Lena and Alex following behind. After that, we cut to Agent Delta still on crutches limping toward some type of body-brace, the hospitalized Commander Epsilon still lying in bed asking Delta what he thinks he's doing in his condition. Delta tells Epsilon "the LGMs built this high-tech exoskeleton for me that'll allow me to fight in my broken state, I asked them to build it for me". Epsilon tells him "you don't need to fight, the council of planets have this whole Zodiac thing under control. Just let your body rest for a while until it recovers". Epsilon tells him "and leave the kids behind? I don't think so. Lena is my responsibility and I intend to get her home safe" followed by the shirtless Delta attaching the exoskeleton to his spine as he has brief flashbacks to his youth training with Sigma before putting his regular clothes on over the exoskeleton to conceal it before whipping out his twin laser pistols to twirl them. After that, we cut to the Nibiru where we see the captive Senator Pierce ask Eterius "What exactly does a mad space tyrant such as yourself hope to accomplish from forcing Earth's government to surrender?" Eterius looks Pierce dead in the eyes, telling him "this planet took everything from me, and you have the gall to call me a tyrant? Last time I checked, YOU were the one who threatened to deport every single alien living on this rock back to their homeworlds once you've wormed your way into a position of power, in spite of the fact that many alien species came to earth in search of a better life, some don't want to go back to their home planets, and some no longer have a planet to go home to. What I am trying to accomplish is equality, to break the cycle of hatred and violence we interstellar refugees have to live with under the rule of corrupt, xenophobic charlatans such as yourself. And that cycle can't be broken until humanity is removed from the equation... PERMANENTLY". Senator Pierce tells Eterius "That's insane, You're talking about planetary genocide! that would make you no better than me" followed by Eterius's forehead crystal glowing bright blue causing Senator Pierce to have a mind-numbing migraine lying on the ground writhing in pain as Sagittarius attacks him psychically, saying "I have lived more than 100 of your lifetimes young man, you have no idea of the horrors I've witnessed, having to flee my homeworld of Nibiru as it was destroyed, reduced to space dust by your council of planets" all the while the transport pod re-enters the Nibiru. The other Zodiacs then exit the pod and enter the prison room, with Taurus saying "Lord Sagittarius, look what we got here" presenting him with the unconscious Lena and Alex. Eterius tells him "Interesting, put them in the cell next to the one holding the senator". followed by Taurus tossing the unconscious teens into the neighboring cell. Eterius/Sagittarius turns his attention to Johnny, telling him "Welcome back, Scorpio. It's been a while since we've heard from you." Johnny tells Eterius "I came back with the intel you asked for, Sector 51 and the Council of Planets are hatching a plan to rescue the senator and launching a full-scale assault on the Nibiru, it is advice to activate the ship's defenses". Eterius places his hand on Johnny's shoulder, telling him "you have done well my child, if your mother were still with us she would be very proud" followed by the Zodiacs exiting the room while Johnny looks to see Lena slowly wake up and leaves the room before she can see him, hanging his head low in shame of what he's done. Lena and Alex both wake up, Alex asking "where are we?" followed by Lena helping Alex back up on his feet telling him "It appears we're aboard the Zodiac's ship, look!" and points to Senator Pierce sitting in the cell next to theirs. Alex bangs on his cell to get his attention, shouting "Hey senator, we're here to rescue you!" Senator Pierce turns his head to see Lena and Alex, saying "Why should I believe someone who's friends with a dirty ET half-breed?" Lena clenches her fist, saying "OOOH he makes me so mad I wanna punch him" and activates her fist constructs only for them to flicker and quickly disappear. Lena looks at her hands, saying "oh no not this again!" followed by Alex telling her "This cell must be inhibiting your alien powers, great... no we have no way of escaping" before we cut to a fleet of alien ships from many different allied worlds of the council of planets finally arriving over Earth's atmosphere, which Eterius/Sagittarius and the rest of the zodiacs witness from the bridge of the Nibiru. the "A" symbol then appears on the Zodiac ship's computer monitor, with the disembodied voice of Alpha telling the Zodiacs "you're hopelessly outnumbered Eterius, if you and your cronies wish to walk away from this in one piece I suggest you let the hostages go before the council of planets demonstrate the true might of their combined military forces". after that, we cut to Delta arriving at Johnny's secret hideout in alien town, noticing that Johnny's motorbike is still parked in the garage but there are clear signs of a skirmish along with all three of the kids being missing which confirms Delta's worst fears. Delta contacts Commander Epsilon, telling him "Come in Commander, It seems I've arrived too late. the zodiacs have already got to them" only for Delta to notice a frightened Poochie cowering in the corner. Poochie is excited to see Delta again and runs up to him to lick him in the face, Delta saying "Poochie! boy am I glad to see you... do you know we can find and rescue Lena?" Poochie then barks, with Delta saying "I thought so". Delta and Poochie both exit the building and look up to see the Council of Planets fleet fly above Alien Town, followed by the LGMs in their UFO landing in front of Delta to pick him and Poochie up, followed by the UFO taking off and flying off for Washington DC. after that we cut to the Council of Planets ship opening fire on the Nibiru only for their attacks to be blocked by the vessel's shields. we then see a barrage of missiles being fired from the Nibiru that shoots down each of the ships one by one, all the while Eterius watches from the bridge, saying "you were saying about the so-called might of the council of planets combined military, Alpha?" while the other Zodiacs start laughing except for Johnny who is still brooding about whether or not it was the right decision to sell Lena out to the Zodiacs. Alpha tells Eterius "You may have won the battle but in the end we will win the war" followed by Eterius/Saggitarius smirking, saying "throw as many ships and soldiers at me as you want, all of them will be crushed like insects under the mighty heel of Sagittarius, leader of the Zodiacs and last of the Annunaki empire" meanwhile the LGMs in their flying saucer try to avoid getting hit by the missiles followed by Delta leaping out of the UFO and landing on top of the gargantuan triangle-shaped Annunaki warship. Delta tells the LGMs "you go find Lena, Poochie will help track her scent" followed by the UFO flying off. suddenly Eterius shows up to confront Delta atop the Nibiru, Eterius saying "Delta, good to see you again. It seems you've come to rescue the Senator am I correct?" Agent Delta then tells Eterius "You know very well why I'm here. you also abducted Lena, and I intend to take her back safe and sound. she's like a daughter to me". Eterius stares into Delta's shades, telling him "but she's not your daughter, and you're also not her father". Delta whips out both his laser pistols and points them at Eterius, telling him "If you hurt her in any way...." followed by Eterius telling him "Nonsense terran, I do not wish to harm the starchild. quite the opposite actually, I plan on training her in the ways of our people, get her back in touch with her Annunaki heritage". Delta then tells him "Then allow us to finish what we started 15 years ago" and opens fire on Eterius who deflects Delta's blasts with his force field before activating a crossbow energy construct that fires a laser arrow at Delta who dodges it just in time followed by Eterius switching to a whip energy construct that grabs Delta by the leg and tosses him around like a ragdoll before we cut to the LGMs crashing their UFO through the wall of the Nibiru landing in the prison much to the excitement of both Lena and Alex with Lena recognizing the flying saucer and exclaiming "we're saved!" followed by Senator Pierce groaning, saying "great, more ETs" as the LGMs and Poochie hop out of the UFO. an LGM then hacks into the ship's security system letting Senator Pierce, Lena, and Alex out of their cells. Lena has a happy reunion with Poochie who licks his owner in the face while Senator Pierce is disgusted by the sight of it, saying "disgusting" followed by Lena asking him "what's your problem with aliens? what did we ever do to you?" Sentator Pierce then sighs and tells her "Many years ago my daughter Jeri was abducted by aliens, and I never saw her again. since then I vowed to rid the world of ETs, so that no parent would ever have to worry about losing their child like I did" and pulls a photo of Jeri out of his pocket to show to Lena who begins to sympathize with pierce. however this tender moment is interrupted when Alex tells the two "Alright you two save the sob story for later. we need to get out of here" followed by an LGM saying "And pick up Delta. he's keeping Eterius busy to buy us time to escape" followed by Lena exclaiming "WHAT?" After that, we cut back to Delta's fight with Eterius where we see Delta continued to get tossed around by Eterius's whip construct followed by Eterius switching over to his sword to hold up to Delta's neck while the other Zodiacs show up to surround him, Delta shocked to see Johnny with them and says "Johnny? you're with them?" followed by Johnny saying "Call me Scorpio". Eterius places his hand on Johnny's back and tells Delta "It was me who was the voice that young Johnathan heard in his head as a child, molding him into a faithful soldier of the Zodiacs". Delta gets angry telling Eterius "You were the reason why he ran away?" followed by Johnny stinging Delta in the back causing the exoskeleton attached to his spine to short out electrocuting poor Delta in the process, poor Delta screaming in pain. however help is on the way when the UFO arrives on the scene with Lena leaping out of the UFO activating her fist constructs mid-air to slam them onto the ship's surface causing a massive shockwave that knocks all the Zodiacs off their feet except for Eterius who watches as the dust clears revealing Lena standing in-between Delta and Eterius, with Eterius staring down Lena saying "Ah, you must be Sector 51's fabled starchild, their secret weapon. glad for us to finally meet face-to-face. you may know me as Eterius, but you can call me Sagittarius". Lena is utterly terrified while Delta shouts "Lena get out of there now!" only for Eterius to freeze Delta in place telepathically. Lena too scared to move sees the sword construct formed over Eterius's hand, saying "Your powers... they're just like mine" as she looks down at her fist constructs before switching to her sword construct to compare hers to his to see that they're identical, Eterius telling her "Of course our powers are Identical. Annunaki blood runs through your veins just as it does mine. but judging by the shape of your ears, I assume you must be half-human". Lena then swings her sword at Eterius causing the two to lock blades, Lena saying "If you hurt any of my friends, I won't hesitate to cut you down" followed by Eterius saying "That's cute, you think you can best a pure-blooded Annunaki like me. try as you must, but I must warn you that I've been around much longer than you have, I've had centuries of experience and you're just a teenager" followed by the other Zodiacs getting back up on their feet to attack Lena: Taurus charges at Lena who blocks his punches with her force field only for Taurus's fists to shatter Lena's force field knocking her onto her feet, Pisces tries to Impale Lena with her trident only for Lena to parry with her sword construct, Cancer tries to attack Lena from behind with his claw only for Lena to teleport out of the way followed by Johnny attacking Lena with his tail only for Lena to dodge and switch to her fist constructs to punch Johnny in the face knocking him off the edge of the Nibiru, Lena saying "That was for breaking my heart" followed by Lena rushing to Delta's aid to help him back up on his feet followed by the two being surrounded by Taurus, Pisces, Cancer, and Eterius. Alex, Senator Pierce, Poochie, and the LGMs all watch the zodiacs surround the two from the cockpit of the flying saucer, Alex saying "We've got to do something!" while Poochie barks however Senator Pierce tells Alex "There's nothing we can do, Eterius is far too dangerous to engage. your half-breed friend's on her own". Alex then looks concerned, saying "there must be something we can do" followed by two LGMs looking and nodding at each other before pressing some buttons that causes a pair of guns to pop out of the sides of the UFO that fire a barrage of laser pellets forcing the Zodiacs to retreat and return to the bridge, Eterius saying "We will finish this later, starchild". the UFO then swoops in to beam both Lena and Delta up, Delta thanking the LGMs for the save. meanwhile Lena ponders, Alex asking Lena why she isn't celebrating. Lena tells Alex "Our escape was easy, too easy. it's almost like they wanted this to happen" followed by Eterius watching the UFO fly off from the bridge of the Nibiru. The other three Zodiacs kneel before Eterius, Taurus asking him "With all due respect Lord Sagittarius, why didn't we pummel them when we had the chance?" followed by Pisces saying "I concur, we had them in our grasp yet you didn't finish the girl or her gun-toting babysitter off". Eterius turns his back to his followers, telling them "I let them escape with their lives for a reason. our fight was merely a test, to see what the girl was capable of for myself". Cancer then asks him "And what of the Senator? he was our bargaining chip to get Earth's government to surrender my liege and now Sector 51 escaped with him. we failed!". Eterius tells him "That plan may have failed, but luckily I have my sights set on a new plan... to get the half-Annunaki starchild to come over to our side" followed by the Nibiru teleporting out of Earth's Atmosphere. after that, we cut back to Sector 51 HQ where we the LGMs fixing Delta's exoskeleton while Commander Epsilon watches while on crutches, Epsilon telling Delta "Can't believe that you survived your second encounter with the Zodiacs, especially after how badly they beat you the first time". Delta tells Epsilon "The Cybernetic exoskeleton helped, until Johnny broke it. can't believe he's now a member of the Zodiacs". Epsilon says "Doesn't surprise me, that kid's been nothing but trouble since the day we found him". once the LGMs are done fixing Delta's exoskeleton and he puts his shirt back on, Delta enters the communication room where Alpha tells him "Agent Delta, I called you in to inform you that after Senator Pierce was successfully rescued, I sent a broadcasted memory-wipe across the airwaves to ensure no one remembers the incident at Washington DC, not even Pierce himself". Delta tells him "That's good to hear" with Alpha asking "And what about your progress on recovering from your injuries" with Delta saying "The LGM's cybernetic exoskeleton is good enough to keep me mobile for a week until my body fully heals when I can finally take this thing off". after that, we cut to Lena in her room pulling an I love you letter she made for Johnny out of her drawer to tear it in half, Lena saying "good riddance" while Alex places his hand on Lena's shoulder telling her "I'm proud of you" followed by Poochie sucking up the two halves of the torn letter into his black hole mouth. after that, we cut to an unconscious Johnny lying in the river before waking up to find himself surrounded by the Friends of Earth ending our episode on a cliffhanger.
