Machi pov

On the way to the base...

'Wow! What the Hell!! When did y/n get so strong, even though it was a surprise attack, the fact that she was fast enough to pull it off shows how much she's grown since our last meeting too. She's gotten a little older and prettier too.' I thought as I looked to the side, stealing glances at her, then I realized how close she was sitting to paku as they conversed.

"So kid tell me, why were you following us?" pakunoda interrogates as she hangs her arms on y/n's shoulder.

"I already told you everything there is to know" Y/n retorts without removing pakunoda's arm.

I understand that paku has to do her job and whatnot, but why is she so close to her. It makes me incredibly uncomfortable. Also why is y/n not removing paku's arm from her shoulder, those two are dangerously close and it really annoys me. I can even wrap my head around what I'm feeling right now. Paku has never annoyed me since I met her, but she has managed to unbelievably piss me off just by putting her hands on y/n. It also annoys me how y/n does nothing about it, does she just let any woman put their hands on her? I need to speak to her, alone, in private. 'Ugh this is so irritating to sit through' I thought.

"We're here," Nobunaga announces as he and Phinks get out of the car.

"Finally" I rolled my eyes thanking god as I don't have to witness y/n get touched by my best friend.

As we walked into the hideout, bringing the kids with us for interrogation. I had only one thought on my mind. 'I have to create a situation where it's just two of us. I need to talk to y/n in private. No matter what!' I strengthened my resolve.

3rd person pov

Y/n and the kids are now caught and are taken to custody by the troupe. Killua was still knocked out, That 'no eyebrows' really must've done a number on him. Gon was scared out of his mind to even speak and y/n was just quiet and observing. The only functioning one of the three and it's up to you to get the boys out of this predicament. You did lead the operation after all.

"Welcome to the troupe's hideout" Pakunoda announces.

I looked up to the members and... holy shit! What in the world!? You thought only your father and his subordinates were able to be this powerful . 'To think a bunch of illiterate, murderous bandits can get this level of power, how blasphemous' you gritted my teeth. You felt embarrassed that such lifeless bastards from a junkyard city, people who by law, don't even exist could even hang with some of your dad's subordinates. Not your dad though, he'd still wipe most of them off the map.

"What're you gawking at" slenderman asks.

"Nothing really, just surprised at how much power I can feel here" you respond.

'Anyways, all that aside, how do we get out of here? With my capability, I should be able to kill just one person here and that's the mummy looking mf and the short kid with the one large eye, looking like a dwarven cyclops. What a hideous weirdo' you thought as you continued to size the members up. 'But that's only with just pure nen, I don't even know their abilities, they're definitely experienced in using it if they came this far, so that's a 50 - 50 chance of winning. As for the rest...' your eyes went from slenderman to 'no eyebrow' to pakunoda, machi and another woman reading who seems to not have interest in what's happening. She looks familiar and you stared at her for a bit longer.

"Why're you staring at her?" machi asks with weird eyes, you couldn't tell what they meant so you just didn't try.

"Call me an idiot, but I'm pretty sure I've seen that lady before," you replied pointing at black haired woman.

"Have you now? Is this true, shizuku" she looked up at the woman and her gaze got even angrier. "Did you meet this girl anywhere?" she asks.

"No i've never seen her before in my life" the raven haired woman replied, in the most emotionless way anybody could give a reply. Machi's eyes fell back on you with disbelief.

"Ah! You're calling me a liar!? We both literally had an arm wrestling match the other day, how did you forget already!". You yelled with frustration and anger. A disgusting bandit calling you a liar is the peak of disgrace.

"OOOOH! Yes! I remember, shizuku remember the girl you lost to the other day?" a big familiar big giant said. You widened my eyes when you remembered that you also saw him there too. Meaning emo shorty must be part of them too. You looked around and there he was! Just sitting.

"I never lose to anyone that isn't a troupe member, I don't know what you mean" She says going back to her book.

"Forget it, shizuku will never remember anything she's forgotten" emo shorty finally spoke.

"Whatever" you rolled my eyes and continued observing the people but then you realized that there was no point, they're all strong beyond beating and you have to wait for an opportunity to pack the kids and get out of here.

"Hey kid? Did you really beat shizuku?" you snapped my head back to see slenderman looking at me with deadly eyes. Those eyes made me shiver a bit but you managed to regain my composure and looked back and returned his eye contact.

"Well basically yeah, I don't think it'd matter in actual fights though" you replied still keeping my composure.

"Oh? Interestingly, not only did you beat shizuku in an arm wrestling match, but you also managed to knock out Machi for a couple seconds and landed a blow that bruised pakunoda. You're fairly strong no matter how you look at it." he says.

"What!?" the giant exclaimed, not being able to believe what he just heard, the others expressed their surprise.

"This brat?" emo shorty says.

"Oh Yeah? This is new" ms. glasses stopped what she was reading, her interest peaked.

"pakunoda, is this true?" a certain blonde boy who hasn't spoken until now asked, with a wide smile.

"Yea yea" she rolls her eyes. "I have a broken jaw because of that now" she says as she walks over somewhere, probably to get some ice.

"Oh dear~~ now she's quite an interesting one isn't she~~~" a voice came from the window side. You looked over to see a certain clown that you haven't seen since the arena. Obviously this was a surprise and Gon almost yelled when he realized it but got stopped by me. Even though Hisoka being a spider's surprising, machi's a troupe member, finding that out has already drained you of all surprises, now it's just whatever.

"Anyways kid like I was saying" slenderman re-grabs your attention. "You were able to beat three members of the troupe at something. So you're fairly strong right? Arm wrestle me, "no" isn't allowed" He demands with his bloodlust now swelling to new heights. 'Geez how many strong opponents has he fought' you sweatdropped.

"Fine, let's do it," you said nonchalantly.

"O-okay then" he says, with a little surprise in his voice. Probably because you agreed with it in such a carefree manner. 'But I'd die if I had said no, yea? Yea, I don't plan on that, let's do this' you thought.
