Machi stood as she watched pakunoda get beat up by the strange man. It was one punch after another. The man was punching an already knocked out pakunoda. Every single punch shook the ground, so much so that his fist was dripping her blood. Even an amateur can see that if he keeps going, she's going to die eventually.

'She's going to die! I have to help,' She thought as she begun moving towards the man before he kills her best friend.

However, an idea came into her mind that made her stop in her tracks.

'What happens if I save her? She'd survive and go back to normal. Go back to being with Y/N. But if she dies now, that'd give me another chance with Y/N right? If I become her emotional support after she loses Pakunoda, she'll love me again and forget about her.... Yes. What I'm doing is right! I'm staying true to my heart! From all that beating, she's probably dead anyways' She thought.

Machi thought as she turns around and began walking towards the door leaving pakunoda to get pummeled.

"M... machi"

A voice came to her ears and she remembered Pakunoda's face. All the times they've spent together since the troupe began, their fights together, their mourns when they lose a comrade.

Basically how they were before Y/N walked into their lives. She then also realizes that she couldn't do it. She can't bring herself to abandon her friend. Her day one comrade.

'I... can't do it. I can't leave her behind to die like that. If it means I'm never going to have Y/N again then so be it. I lost my chance when I had it,'

"Shit... it is what it is" she said.

She charges up her nen and speeds to the guy beating up pakunoda, who hadn't been paying her any attention, and knees him in the face.

She managed to get him off pakunoda and make him stumble back a few steps. She gently moved the unconscious pakunoda out of the rubble and laid her down on the ground.

"You... How dare you interrupt me!? A few more punches and she'd be dead." the man screamed in anger.

"Exactly she'd be dead. But she's my friend. I can't allow that now, can I" Machi replied.

"Wait? You're both friends? Hahahahahahah!!!" the man laughed.

"Yes we are... what's funny" Machi asked, already annoyed by the guy.

"It's just interesting, that you both love the same person hahahaha" the man laughed.

"What? How do you know that!?" Machi asked, perplexed by the guy's weirdly correct guess.

"It's my nen power, I'm a specialist and I can sense people's minds and thoughts hahahahahaha" he laughed again.

"First of all, stop laughing. Secondly...Our boss would be able to make good use of you. I think you should join us" she said.

"Hahahahaha I have no interest in working for chrollo. I have my own crew Hahahaha" he said.

"Chr...what? Wait, who are you?" she asked with widened eyes.

"I'M Yujiro Shiba!. FOUNDER OF THE SILENT CREW!!!" he announced.

"Wait founder... Isn't the boss with the-" Machi was interrupted as yujiro's fist was now right infront of her face.
