A Broken Heart

Ok... I'm sorry that I hadn't posted in like 2 weeks. I just had some bad writers block. But what can I say, I'm here now. I even posted in a Saturday!!!

Y/N POV

I woke up in a dimly lit room. I was hungry and cold with my hands and feet tied. I hadn't eaten anything since I left the hotel with machi, and I don't know how long I'd been knocked out which I'm guessing had been quite a while because my hunger isn't a couple hours worth. The cold didn't help my case at all, I wasn't wearing any thick clothes and I was obviously on a cold ground.

If I couldn't solve my hunger issue and if they truly plan to kill me they'd have done it already, meaning sooner or later i'll get some food. But this cold is intense and I can't wait for when they feel like feeding me, I need to use my fire to burn whatever i'm tied with and then warm up myself and get the hell up out of here.

I close my eyes in order to muster some nen out of my tired body. But my eyes shot open immediately and I began breathing heavily. I couldn't concentrate on myself because everytime I close my eyes, all I see is her.

Her remorseless smirk as she looks down at me while I get snuffed makes me feel like she has never once loved me. All the things we did, the promises we made. Everything was meaningless to her. I've been trying to take my mind off that but I just can't.

"I'm nothing but an insect to her" I thought as tears slowly came down my eyes.

Machi POV

I'm so tired. The past two days have been so stressful. This mission was the shittiest mission I've ever had to go on. The other ones were just hard opponents but at least it was straight forward, I knew who I had to kill. Unlike this one, trying to get F/N's spoiled princess' away from her friends had to have been the most frustrating thing I've ever done. That little flea really knows how to test my patience. The fact that she actually thought I had feelings for her was so fucking gross. What a bitch.

She's been here for a couple hours, I'm in charge of watching her and making sure she doesn't die basically. I don't know why I have to keep her alive but... chrollo's orders I guess. He's not telling me anything but just dishing out orders. Those orders include me talking to this silly goose and since I have no other purpose but to follow him, I guess I'd do it, though I'd rather not.

3rd Pov

Machi opens the door to find an already awake y/n just sitting up with tears in her eyes.

Y/N looks up to see the person she was just thinking about. Her heart began beating uncontrollably as she had fallen in love with the person in front of her. Though she was betrayed and heartbroken, the feelings aren't something she could forget in a matter.

Machi walks in and sits beside y/n. While y/n adjusts her sitting while tied up to hear what excuse machi was about to give.

"Hey so hmm imma inform you on what's up" machi says.
"So the boss doesn't want you dead yet for some reason, I don't know why but that's what he said. So I'm in charge of keeping your ass alive, meaning you'd have to eat the food I give you" machi stops as she looks intently at y/n with a look y/n has never seen before.
"or I'll force you and you don't want me to force you now do we". She says and stands back up.
"Imma bring you some food just stay there and don't be an idiot okay?" She turns around and reaches for the door.

Y/N, who had been lost because of machi's attitude finally mustered the composure to speak up.

"That's it?" She says softly as she looks up to machi with slow tears coming out her eyes.

Machi looks back at the crying girl with the deadest look a human could have and with a cold voice she says, "is what it?"

Y/n was in shock at the version of machi she was seeing. Though she struggles to believe it.

"No explanation? No apologies? No nothing?! You just come in here with that attitude and act like you did not just sell me out to your people?!?!" Says y/n with a tearful face.

Machi sighs "darling I don't understand why you'd actually think I had feelings for you, honestly you were nothing but annoying. The sex was good though. I meant when I called you a prodigy, but hmm maybe you should find your girlfriend somewhere else" she turns around to walk out.

"Really Machi!? What about us? What about me? You can't tell me that you didn't feel anything too." Y/N cries. "When you looked into my eyes and tell me how much you loved me, those felt real. Your love felt real. You can't tell me you didn't feel anything" y/n cries softly.

Machi pauses for a bit as if she was thinking about something. Though she was turned the opposite way so her face wasn't shown. After a few seconds she turns back, crouches down to y/n's level and grabs her face.

"I could give less of a shit of how you feel. As long as the boss and the crew is happy, your feelings and whatever you thought we had was a fluke. Get that idea out of you thick skull." she says as she throws y/n's face onto the dirty ground. "Imma bring you some food to feed your pretty lips, we don't want you to fade into space" she dusts her clothes and began walking out with a slight speed to her steps. Almost like she doesn't want to hear another word from Y/N's mouth.

Y/n gets up though she can't really move because she's tied. "Machi? Machi! Please don't leave me!!" With each agonizing steps Machi takes from her, She cries louder. Each cry being louder than the last. Almost as if she yelled harder, Machi might walk back her way. But no. That wasn't the case. Machi walks out the room and closes the door, leaving y/n by herself crying, distraught and lonely.
