Winona had fell in love with the role of Veronica Sawyer in the movie Heathers. But then her agent got on her hands and knees as she clasped her hands together "You will never. work. again. Winona. Trust me" She begged her.

"I'm sorry I will do this, but I don't think I can work with you anymore" The 16-year-old says sadly. " Because I really want to audition for this role"

"Fine." Her agent gathers herself and stands up "Don't come crawling back to me, when you're fifty and still can't get a major role" She snarls at her, storming out.

When Winona got to the audition, She felt that she had crushed it. But there was still something off about the way their vibe was about her, she thought. Thankfully, Winona got a callback, So She went to Macy's and got them to give her a makeover.

Since the last film She had made, Beetlejuice. Winona looked a lot like her character, with her pale skin and dark black dyed hair. When She came to her callback, She looked completely different than her last audition.

And after that, they had cast her as Veronica. Winona was overjoyed.

Christian had come into the building to audition for the role of Jason Dean. Of course, there was also other guys in the building to audition for JD.

When it was his turn to audition, He had did his best. But he thought he'd blown it So when his mother asked how it went, he had a big tantrum.

"How was the audition, honey?" Mary Jo asked her 18-year-old son.

Christian just shouts in frustration and punches the wall "Oh God, I really blew it!" He was so mad that he grabs the script and throws it in the trash. Then walks off.

Mary Jo frowns at his frustration and just fishes the script out of the trash.

But, surprisingly to him, Christian got a callback, his mother and his friend Kim, eventually girlfriend in March, congratulated him for his achievement. Christian also finds out that Kim auditioned for another role in the same movie.  Another thing learned is that he had to do a screentest with the cast Veronica Sawyer for his callback.

JANUARY 25, 1988
Los Angeles, California

"Welcome, Winona" Sally greets her as Julie leads her inside the casting studio. Michael and Daniel were also there.

"Hi, Winona. We're just gonna be doing screentests with some of the actors who got a callback for a few days and then the role is gonna be cast by the end of the week" Michael smiles.

"Alright, So in the scene you are pretending to be dead, being hung from the ceiling. All you have to do is to hang your head while standing on the chair." Daniel informs her.

"Okay" Winona nods and the first few actors say their lines for the rest of the day.

Day 3, and they already had some great choices to play JD. Until Julie brings in a certain actor who catches Winona's eye.

"Hello, Christian..Slater right?" Sally asks.

"Yes" Christian nods and smiles, then glances at Winona for a split second.

"Alright, this is our cast Veronica Sawyer" Julie continues.

"Hi, Winona Ryder" Winona greets him. 

"Hi" Christian shakes her hand. She's beautiful, and seems really nice The voice inside his head said as he smiles at her.

"Okay whenever you're ready" Michael says, as Winona got up on the chair and played dead.

Christian exhales slowly and starts to read out his lines "I can't believe you did it. I was teasing." He looks up at Winona who had her head facing the floor tiles. "I loved you!"

As Christian read his lines, Winona observes his line delivery since that was the first thing she noticed about him. He's great, I wonder if I could ever have a chance with him. What, you're talking shit he probably doesn't even think of you that way. she asks herself in her head.

She thought he was a genuinely really good actor, and he finishes reading the script. Winona comes down from the chair and she smiles at him

"Hah! That was great, Christian!" Daniel chuckled.

"Thanks" Christian nodded.

"Alright, We'll contact you for further information, Thank you Christian" Julie smiled at him.

"Thank you" He started to walk out of the room, as he catches one last glimpse of Winona. She smiles and waves goodbye to him. He smiles back at her and turns back around out the door.

After another day of screentests with more actors, they had cast Christian as JD by the end of the week.
