On the way out of the door, Winona catches a glimpse of herself in the foyer mirror. She cleans up the lipstick on her lip when her eyes trail to her engagement ring.
She smiles softly and lowers her hand to adjust it nicely.
"Babe, You ready?" Christian walked around the corner to her.
"Mhm" She hummed.
The 51st Golden Globe Awards were happening tonight and the pair got all dressed up for the important event. Winona was nominated for the second time for a Golden Globe that night also.
"You look very pretty tonight" He grinned, stood in front of her and complimented her black dress that went down to her ankles which she paired with a simple pearl necklace.

"Thank you very much. It's an old dress but it's a nice dress" She thanked him back and exhaled. Picking a lint off his jacket and straightening the velvet edges then smiling back up at him.

They share a short kiss and pull away.
Winona grabs her bag and they wave Ollie goodbye, then went downstairs to be picked up by the limo.
They arrived at the Beverly Hilton Hotel a while later. Christian got out first and then Winona.
She stood up then Christian offers his hand "Shall we?" He says.
Winona smirks slightly and intertwines her hand with his. They started walking down the carpet around other film stars and photographers. The photographers were already snapping their photos.
A guy with a TV camera even asked them to wave to the camera, told them it was for the broadcast of the ceremony.
Soon, they were in the ballroom with everybody. They got to their table and greeted some of the people who were already at their table.
Martin Scorcese and Illeana Douglas were already there and some others.
"Hi Everybody" Winona smiled widely.
"Hey" Christian also greeted with a grin.
"Winona! Christian! Hello!" Martin was sat in his chair and greeted them gladly slightly turned to them.
"Hi!" Illeana turned to them with a soft smile.
They both hugged and la bise-d (la bise is apparently the french term for that cheek-to-cheek kisses celebrities give each other idfk but thats what we are gonna call it from now on) Illeana and Martin then sat on their chairs on the other side of the table.
"How are you, guys?" Winona asked.
"Oh, I'm terrific" He replied.
"How about you two? How are you?" Illeana spoke.
"We've been great" Christian nodded.
After talking a bit more, more people showed up. And apparently they were the two youngest people at their table. So they had a good laugh with that.
Winners were starting to be announced and then the nominees for Best Supporting Actress were being announced.
Jeff Goldblum and Alfre Woodward were up on stage together and they were the announcers for the category.
"The nominees for best performance by an actress in a supporting role in a motion picture are.." Alfre started.
"Penelope Anne Miller, Carlito's Way" She continued her phrase. The camera was pointed her way and everybody clapped.
"Anna Paquin, The Piano" Jeff said.
"Rosie Perez, Fearless" Announced Alfre. (everybody claps everytime someone gets announced btw, im just putting that right now so i dont have to keep writing everybody clapped.)
"Winona Ryder, The Age of Innocence" Jeff says into the mic. The camera was now on her.
Everybody at the table clapped including Christian of course who was smiling at her proudly.
"Emma Thompson, In the Name of the Father" Alfre announced the last nominee.
"And the winner is.." Jeff Goldblum opens the envelope and announces "Winona Ryder, The age of innocence"
Winona's smiles grows wider, completely grateful. She looked over at Christian who looked so happy and was clapping for her "I'm so proud of you!"
They kiss each other then Winona stands up to go accept her award.
She walked up the stage as everyone was still clapping for her. Winona hugged and la bise-d both Alfre and Jeff who handed her her award. "Congratulations, Winona" Alfre smiled. "Congratulations" Jeff smiled too.
"Thank you" She smiled back at them, then walked over to center stage where the mic was.
"Thank you so much" Winona exhaled, still thinking this was phenomenal as she held her golden globe award. She laughed "Thank you so much um It's really an incredible feeling to be honored for a movie that's so brilliant and that I'm so proud of. And there's so many people that would take me forever to thank everyone. But I just have to say thank you to my amazing leading man, Daniel Day-Lewis."
Everybody claps then the camera points to Daniel then back at Winona.
"To um oh I can't believe it" Winona blushes still overwhelmed. "To Michelle Pfeiffer and oh this is so weird. To everyone at Columbia and to Carol Bodie and to Barbara DeFina and Thelma. And to the wonderful Jay Cocks the beloved Jay Cocks. And of course to the reason I'm up here at all to the absolutely brilliant Martin Scorcese. Thank you" The whole crowd erupts in claps, clapping for Martin.
"And to my family, mom and dad thank you so much for everything. And to Christian, thank you for making me the happiest I've ever been" The camera pans to Christian smiling up at her.
Winona finishes her speech as the camera goes back to her. She got off the stage and walked over back to the table. Everyone at the table congratulated her. Christian hugged her "I have never been more proud of you" He grinned widely.
