It was the day after Winona's movie premiere in New York. And the media was more than happy with the photos they took of her with Christian at the red carpet.

Winona wakes up in her hotel room and starts getting ready since Christian was taking her on a date for the whole day around New York city.

After an hour, and she has finished getting ready for the day, She went down the elevator to meet him downstairs in the lobby.

Christian was sitting on a sofa looking at his watch when Winona spotted him there.

She sneaks up behind him, placing her hands on the backrest of the chair carefully and peeks her head over his shoulder  "Good morning" Winona smiles at Christian.

The corners of his lips twitch upward and greets her back "Morning" He gives her a kiss and stands up.

"Okay, So where are we going?" She asks when she loops her arm with his as they start to walk away to the hotel doors.

"Well, there's this restaurant that makes the best pancakes and I figured we go there for breakf-" Christian starts but gets cut off by Lana and Winona's publicist, Charles rushing to them and shouting.

"Hey! You two!" Charles waves to them.

The pair both turned around to them "Hi?" Winona raises an eyebrow with concern.

"You can't leave" Lana puffs, out of breath.

"Why not?" Christian questions.

"We need someone to take Dennis' place for his press conference today" Charles replies.

"What happened with Dennis?" Winona frowns.

"He's fallen sick. And can't make it"

"It's his press conference, won't people be mad if he's not there?"

"Yea, but its mostly about the movie too. You're just as big as a part of the movie as he is" Charles nods.

"I'm really sorry I said you two could have the week off alone here, I just didn't predict we'd be needing Winona to substitute for Dennis" Lana apologizes.

"It's fine. Until when do I need to fill in for him?"

"We still don't know"

A sad look forms on both of their faces. They look at each other and Winona speaks up "I should probably go"

Christian exhales with disappointment "Yea I guess"

"I'll see you tonight, hopefully" She says, kissing his cheek.

"Hopefully" He replies sadly.

"Let's go, the car should be out there by now" Charles informs her.

Lana and Charles walked out the door with Winona as Christian watched with a frown on his face. He had so much places to go to with her in mind, but it was possible they wouldn't be able to do that anymore and he was right.

Winona was swamped with press conferences and interviews for and about the movie, for the rest of the week. Christian was frustrated of course, She was so busy and stressed that she barely acknowledged he was there.

JULY 7, 1989

Friday came, Christian and Winona hadn't talked to each other in days. (im sorry if you feel like this is similar to that one fight in my bonnie and clyde book, i just noticed it now LMFAO. i apologize for my lack of originality because i dont like angst that much)

Christian ran into one of his old friends so he spent the day with him. Winona was finally finished with the last of her duties by lunch, so she was shocked and bitter to see that Christian was no where to be found at the hotel and couldn't find him outside either.

Later that night, When he came back home to the hotel, Lana notified him that Winona was already done hours ago and that she has been waiting for him since lunch.

He knocks on her hotel room door and she answers it "Oh, you. Hi"

"Hey" Christian greets back.

"Come in.." She trails off, turning around to go sit on the bed.

He closes the door and follows behind her but recognizes her bland tone and stands still to question her "Did something happen?"

"What do you mean?" Winona sat down and continued what she was doing earlier.

"You seem mad. Or just tired, maybe?"

"Nope." She answers, flipping violently through a hotel magazine.

"Are you sure? Is something wrong?"

Winona scoffs and looks up at him "Something wrong?" She repeats him. "Something wrong?!" Winona snaps at him.

Christian's eyes widen when she shouts and his brows furrow, his temper rising.

"Do you know what's wrong, Christian?! I have been stressed out all week! And when I needed your comforting, you were nowhere to be found!"

"Well, You barely even acknowledged me either! I thought you didn't even need me!"

"If you knew me, you would know I really needed you!"

"I didn't know that I was supposed to be able to read your mind all the time!" He snarls at her.

"I wasn't saying that! But Where were you all day? When I finished today, I would have atleast thought you were here."

"I was with an old friend. And I'm sorry that I can't be at your beck and call!"

"All I was asking for, was for your support!"

"You know, I only agreed to come here because I was gonna spend time with you!"

"Excuse me, 'agreed' ? Well I'm sorry I didn't know that coming here was such a chore to you!"

"That is not what I said!"

Winona and Christian shout and snap at each other for a couple more minutes, just shouting random shit until Winona finally had enough of it.

"You know I can't even look at you right now" She quiets down.

"Neither can I, I'm leaving" Christian storms out of the room.

Winona pinches the bridge of her nose and starts to sob uncontrollably. At the same time, Christian was on his way to his hotel room when he starts to fight back his tears, he reaches his room and finally breaks down.
