Chapter 30: The Barton House

(The Next Day)

Y/N's POV

So after searching all night we find out that Ultron recruited Wanda and Pietro Maximoff and they helped him kill Baron Strucker.

We also find out that they're going to the African coast to meet with Ulysses Klaus, a black arms dealer who has something Ultron needs.

After going to the Ulysses base we were attacked by the Maximoff twins and Ultron.

Wanda used her magic on a few of the avengers which made our morale go down, especially Bruce as Hulk went crazy.

(A/N: As you can see I didn't do the first Ultron fight only cause I've already done it a few times in my stories.)

We're all now on the quinjet and I'm not even sure where we are going.

Tony's POV

So I'm now talking Maria after what happened.

Maria: The news is loving you guys. Nobody else is. There's been no official call for Banners arrest. But it's in the air. How's the team?

Tony: Everyones....We took a hit. We'll shake it off.

Maria: Well for now, I'd stay in stealth mode. And stay away from here.

Tony: So, run and hide?

Maria: Until we find Ultron, I don't have a lot else to offer.

Tony: Neither do we.

I then shut off communication with Hill.

I then go up to the front to talk to Barton.

Tony: Hey, you wanna switch out?

Clint: No, I'm good. If you wanna get some kip now's a good time, we're still a few hours out.

Tony: Out from where?

Clint: A safe house.

After Clint says this I head to get a little shut eye cause I really do need it after what happened.

Y/N's POV

After a few hours of flying in the quinjet, Clint lands us in a small field.

I look and see a farm house in the distance.

When the ramp lowers, we all get off and start walking towards the farm house.

When we reach the top of the stairs, Thor looks at me.

Thor: What is this place?

Y/N: Safe house.

Clint: Let's hope.

Clint opens the door and walks inside with Natasha next to him.

Clint: Honey, I'm home.

The rest of us were all confused by this.

We then see a pregnant woman walk in.

Clint: Hi. Company. Sorry I didn't call ahead of time.

Tony: This is an agent of some kind.

Clint faces us.

Clint: Gentleman, this is Laura.

She waves at us.

Laura: I know all your names.

Tony and I wave awkwardly.

We then hear footsteps coming towards us and two kids run in and hug Clint.

Y/N: These are smaller agents.

???: Did you bring auntie Nat?

Natasha: Why don't you hug her and find out?

Then the little girl hugs Natasha.

Peggy: Sorry for barging in on you.

Y/N: Yeah, we would have called ahead of time but we were busy having no idea you existed.

Clint: Yeah, well, Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files. I'd like to keep it that way. I figure it's a good place to lay low.

I see then look over and Thor scanning the room.

Thor then leaves and so Steve and I follow him.

Steve: Thor, where are you going?

Thor: I need answers to that vision I saw, and I won't find them here.

Then Thor flew off to find answers.

Steve sighs and walks off and I head back into the house.

(Two Hours Later)

So I've just gotten out of the shower and see Peggy sitting on the bed wearing a robe.

Peggy: I would've joined you, but it didn't seem like the right time.

Y/N: I used up all the hot water.

She smiles.

Peggy: Missed out window.

Peggy stands up and goes to walk away but I grab her arm.

She looks at me.

Y/N: I love you.

Peggy: What?

Y/N: I should've said a long time ago but something was holding me back. I don't want it to hold me back anymore. I love you Peggy. After I became Spider-Man I pushed people away I didn't open up my heart to love and then, it's a cliche but I met you. Something changed. I really, really love you.

She smiles.

Peggy: I love you too.

I then pull her towards me and we kiss for the first time.

After a minute or two we pull away.

Y/N: (Whispers) I wonder how Steve did.

Peggy: What?

Y/N: Oh nothing. Nothing.

Peggy: Just shut up and kiss me.

Peggy and I laugh and then she pulls me towards her again and we once again kiss.
