Chapter 72: Thanos Returns

Y/N's POV

I wake up to Tony shaking me and I deactivate my mask as I groan.

Tony: Come on, Charlotte, time to wake up.

I put my hand on my head.

Y/N: Ow.

Tony then helps me stand up.

After that Tony goes picks up Cap's shield.

He and I then go over to Steve. 

I kick Steve's leg to wake him up. 

Y/N: Come on Cap, wake up. 

Steve wakes up. 

Tony: That's my man. 

He kneels down and holds Steve's shield over him.

Tony: That's my man. You lose this again, I'm keeping it.

Steve looks around and then looks at us.

Steve: What happened?

Tony: You mess with time, it tends to mess back. You'll see.

Then I help Steve up as Tony hands him his shield.

The three of us go outside and see Thor looking down.

We stand next to him as we see Thanos sitting alive in the flesh.

Tony: What's he been doing?

Thor: Absolutely nothing.

Steve: Where are the stones?

Y/N: Probably under here somewhere.

Tony: All we know is that is he doesn't have them.

Steve: We need to keep it that way then.

Thor: You know it's a trap, right?

Y/N: I don't give a fuck.

Tony: Agreed.

Thor: Good, as long as we are all in agreement.

Thor summons his hammer and the storm breaker and his suit comes on just like us.

Thor: Let's kill him properly this time.

The four of us then start walking towards Thanos.

(Just imagine Y/N is walking with them.)

Thanos notices us.

Thanos: You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me. I thought by eliminating half of life....the other half would thrive. But you've shown me....that's impossible. And as long as there are those that remember what was.....there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist.

Y/N: Yep, I guess we're all just stubborn that way.

He smirks at us.

Thanos: I'm thankful. Because now...I know what I must do. I will shred this universe....down to its last atom.
