Chapter 34: The Battle Begins

Y/N's POV

Once the avengers and I make it to Sokovia, Cap, Peggy and I help get the civilians out of the city.

As we're doing this, the three of us get attacked by Ultron's bots that are coming from the ground.

We fight them off and then we feel the ground begin to shake.

Y/N: Holy shit!

Peggy: What's happening?

Steve: I don't know.

We then look over and see part of Sokovia is taking off into the air.

Then we hear Ultron's voice speak through one of his bots.

Ultron: Do you see the beauty of it? The inevitability. You rise, only to fall. You, Avengers, you are my meteor. My swift and terrible sword. And the earth will crack with the weight of your failure. Purge me from your computers, turn my own flesh against me. It means nothing. When the dust settles, the only living thing in this world will be metal.

As I'm fighting some of the bots by the bridge I get tackled by a bot and sent into the front of a car.

Tony: Hey, Spidey, you got incoming.

Y/N: (Groaning) Incoming already came in.

Steve: Stark, you worry about getting the city back down. The rest of us have one job. Tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt 'em back. You get killed, walk it off.

After this, we go and try to take down the bots.

I go to the back of the bridge and see a woman in her car is about to go over the edge.

I grab onto the bumper, it rips off and the woman then goes falling down.

I then see Thor flying up then he goes back down for her.

He grabs her and throws her up to me and so I slide down and catch her.

Y/N: Hey! It's okay! I've got you! Just look at me!

I then get her back up and she runs off.

I then see an Ultron bot coming for me.

Ultron: You can't save them all, Spider-Man.

I shoot a web at the bot and it attaches to it.

Ultron: You'll never...

Then before he could finish I pull the bot towards me throw it down to the ground below.

Y/N: "Never" what? You didn't finish!

I turn and see another car crash on the ground and Thor land on top of it.

Thor jumps down and walks ahead of me.

Thor and I the rejoin the fight and we go to help Steve, Peggy and Natasha who is now safe.

I see Peggy get surrounded so I run and land down beside her and the two of us start taking down the bots.

She throws her shield and it hits a few of the bots and I catch it.

Then I throw it at the others and then Peggy catches it.

Peggy runs towards me and grab her and spin her around as she kicks the rest of the bots.

I then set her down and keep my hands on her waist.

Y/N: I love you.

Peggy: And I love you.

Steve: Not to interrupt but we could use some help.

I give Peggy a quick kiss and then the two of us go and help.

After a few more minutes of fighting I hear Clint's voice over comms.

Clint: We're all clear here.

Steve: We are not clear! We are very not clear!

Clint: Alright, coming to you.

After clearing the bots we manage to get all civilians to a safe place.

Tony tells us that the only way to stop this is by blowing the rock up.

Then Peggy, Natasha and I join Steve outside.

Natasha: Steve, these people aren't going anywhere. If Tony finds a way to blow this rock....

Steve: Not until everyone's safe.

I look at Steve.

Y/N: All the people up versus all the people down there. There's no math here.

Steve: We're not leaving one civilian on this thing.

Y/N: I didn't say we leave.

Peggy: Y/N's right. I mean where else am I gonna get a view like this?

We then hear a voice over the comms.

???: I'm glad you like the view Carter. It's about to get better.

As we hear this we see a S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier come up into view.

Nick: Nice right? Pulled her out of some mothballs with a few old friends. She's dusty, but she'll do.

Y/N: Fury, you son of a bitch.

Nick: Woah, you kiss your mother with that mouth?

We then see boats coming out of the carrier.

Pietro then runs over to us.

Pietro: This is S.H.I.E.L.D?

Steve: It's what S.H.I.E.L.D suppose to be.

Pietro: This is not so bad.

Steve: Let's get 'em on board.

As we're getting the people on board I see Rhodey come out of the helicarrier.

Then after a few more minutes of fighting the bots, Tony's comes over the comms.

Tony: Rhodey, get the people aboard that carrier. Avengers, time to work for a living.

Rhodey: On it.

Then I run and take off to the church.
