Chapter 53: Return To Wakanda

(Wakanda)

Y/N's POV

So, the avengers and myself are now on the quinjet heading to Wakanda.

I walk up to the front to join Sam and Steve.

Sam: I hope you're right, otherwise we're gonna land faster than you want.

Sam then flies down and the jet goes through the barrier and we are in Wakanda.

Y/N: Never gets old.

Sam then lands us and once we leave the quinjet, we are greeted by T'challa and Okoye.

Nat, Peggy, Steve and I walk over and greet T'challa.

I shake his hand.

Y/N: Seems Steve and I are always thanking you for something.

T'challa smiles.

T'challa: It's good to see you my friend.

Then we all start walking.

T'challa: How big of an assault should we expect?

Bruce: Sir, you should expect a big assault.

Natasha: So, how are we looking?

T'challa then tells us that all the Wakandian tribes will be helping us out.

T'challa: Oh, and...

Then we see Bucky who is in a new suit and has a new metal arm.

Bucky; A somewhat stable hundred year old man.

I chuckle.

Steve goes over and hugs him.

Steve: How you been Buck?

Bucky: Oh you know, not too bad for the end of the world.

After this Steve, Peggy, Natasha, Wanda and I go up with Vision so he can be looked at by Shuri.

Shuri: The structure is polymorphic.

Bruce: Right, well we had to attach each neuron non-sequentially.

Shuri: Why didn't you just reprogram the synapses to work collectively?

Bruce: Because we didn't think of it.

Shuri: I'm sure you did your best.

Wanda: Can you do it?

Shuri: Yes, but there are more than two trillion neurons here. One misalignment could cause a cascade of circuit failures.

She looks at T'challa.

Shuri: It will take time, brother.

Y/N: How long?

Shuri: As long as you can give me.

Natasha: Well, that's not very specific.

Then an alarm starts going off.

Then I hear Pietro over the comms.

Reed: Hey Spidey, we've got a situation here.

Sam: Something is about to hit the dome.

Sue: Oh my god.

Then we hear another explosion and Rhodey comes over the comms.

Rhodey: We've got more incoming outside the dome!

Steve, Peggy and I look out the window and see drop ships in the ground.

Y/N: We see em.

Steve, Peggy, T'challa and I look at each other.

Vision: It's too late, we have to destroy the stone.

Natasha: Vision, get your ass back on the table.

T'challa: We will hold them off.

T'challa and his people start walking.

Y/N: Wanda, as soon as that stone is out of his head you blow it to hell.

Wanda: I will.

T'challa then tells his people what to do.

Then he looks at Steve.

T'challa: And get this man a shield.

T'challa looks at Shuri.

T'challa: And get Y/N his new suit and web shooters.

I tilt my head.

T'challa: Consider it a gift, my friend.

Shuri: Follow me.

Then Shuri and I head down into her lab.

She goes over to the table and shows me a case.

Shuri: Hope you like it.

She opens the case and I see my new suit.

(So this is the new suit. Hope you like it.)

Y/N: Whoa. That's pretty cool.

Shuri: I added in tensile strength. The web shooters are calibrated and the mask retracts.

Y/N: Thank you, Shuri.

Shuri: Of course. I'll let you get changed.

Shuri leaves the room to let me get changed.

After I get changed I head outside to join the others.

Peggy: Wow, babe. You look hot.

My mask retracts.

Y/N: Thanks. I think Shuri put a heater in this suit.

Natasha: You do look pretty good.

Y/N: Thanks. Let's go.

Then we get on one of the speeders to go and join the others.

I do think it's fair to say that this will be the biggest fight of all our lives.
