Chapter 71: Bringing Everyone Home

(Upstate New York, 2023)

Y/N's POV

We all make it back to the compound and we deactivate our time suits.

Bruce: Did we get them all?

Rhodey: Are you telling me this actually worked?

We then see Natasha drop to her knees.

Bruce: Nat, where's Clint?

Nat stays silent but we all looked at each other because we knew what had happened.

Clint was dead. He was gone.

Bruce then drops to his knees.

(Ten Minutes Later)

The original Avengers and myself are now sitting outside near the lake as we are grieving the loss of Clint. 

Tony: What do we tell his family when we get them back?

Steve: The truth. 

Thor: I'm sorry, what's going on? 

Tony: I was just asking a question. 

Thor: You're saying this like he's dead. We have the stones right? We can bring him back. So stop this shit we're the Avengers! Get it together! 

Natasha: It can't be undone. 

Thor looks at Nat and he chuckles. 

Thor: No offence Natasha, but you are a very earthly being, this is space magic we're talking about here. 

Natasha: Okay, I know I'm way outside my pay grade here. But Clint's still not here is he? 

Thor: Yes, but that's my point... 

Natasha: It can't be undone! Or that's at least what the floating guy had to say. Maybe you wanna go talk to him then? Go grab your hammer and go find and talk to him! It was suppose to be me. Clint gave his life for that god damn stone, he bet his life on it. 

Bruce then grabs a bench and throws it.

Bruce: We can't get him back. We have to make his death worth it. 

Steve: We'll make sure that Clint didn't die for nothing. So let's bring everybody back. 

After this we all then head inside.

(Twenty Minutes Later) 

Tony, Rocket, Bruce and I have been working on the Nano-tech gauntlet.

Once we finish, Tony puts the stones in the gauntlet. 

Rocket: Boom! 

This causes Tony, Bruce and I to jump, and we give Rocket a death stare as he chuckles.

We all then head out into the main room to join the others.

Tony lays the gauntlet in front of us.

Rocket: Okay, the gauntlet is ready, the question is who's gonna snap their fricking fingers?

Thor walks up to it. 

Thor: I'll do it. 

We all push him back. 

Steve: Hold on Thor, we haven't decided who's gonna do it yet. 

Thor: Oh I'm sorry are we just gonna sit around waiting for the right opportunity?

Sue: We should at least discuss it. 

Thor: No, sitting here staring at the thing isn't gonna bring everyone back. Now, I'm the strongest Avenger, so this responsibility falls on me. 

Tony: No, no. Its not just that fact that the gauntlet has enough power to light up a continent. There's also the fact that your not in the best condition. 

Thor: But I have lighting coursing through my veins. 

Bruce: Lighting won't help you pal. It's gotta be me. We saw what the stones did to Thanos, they almost killed him. 

Steve: How do we know that won't happen to you? 

Bruce: We don't, but the radiation is mostly gamma. It's like I was born for this. 

We all then decide to let Bruce to snap his fingers. 

Third Person Perspective

Bruce now has the gauntlet in his hands.

Tony: Alright, remember, everyone Thanos snapped away five years ago  you bring them to here today. Don't change anything in the last five years. 

Bruce: Got it. Everybody comes home. 

Tony activates barn door protocol which causes all windows around the compound to be covered up by metal shutters. 

Y/N puts his arm protectively in front of Peggy.

Bruce then puts the Nano-tech gauntlet on and falls to a knee as the stones power rushes up his body.

Thor: Take it off! Take it off!

Y/N: No wait! Bruce are you okay?!

Tony: Talk to me Banner.

Bruce groans.

Bruce: Yeah...I'm good.

Y/N nods and they let him continue.

Bruce then stands up and after struggling, Bruce manages to snap his fingers.

He then falls on the ground and they all rush over to him. 

Peggy: Bruce! 

The gauntlet then falls off Bruce's hand, and Natasha goes over and she kicks it away. 

Tony: Don't move him. 

Tony then helps Bruce's arm. 

Bruce: Did it work? 

Rhodey: We're not sure yet buddy.

With Scott, he walks out to the window as his eyes widen.

Scott: Guys, I think it worked.

Back with Y/N, his spider sense begins going off rapidly as he looks around.

He knows that something is about to happen.

Y/N: Everyone get....!

Before Y/N can finish the compound is blown up from the outside by The Thanos from 2014.

Thanos has come to finish what his future self started.

Kill the avengers once and for all and get the stones back.
