Iris POV

                  ...but i'm not bleeding... I look next to me and see a small river of blood on the floor. As i stand I follow it. A thousand thoughts run thru my mind as i follow it ... IS it my blood? when did?... wait, the gun... it shot but i ended up on the floor. I didn't take the shot did i? Suddenly my blood runs cold

Mad: *tears up*

H: no... no no n-no no no no why did she do that WHY THE HELL WOULD SHE DO THAT?-

                     I drop to my knees as everything muffles out. I look at Maxine on the floor with blood rushing out of her back and chest. She slowly opens her eyes and looks at me

M: i-iris?

                     I snap out of it and realize this is really happening. I put her head on my lap and turn her head up so i can see her face

I: *tears up* i-i'm r-r-right here i-i'm right here

M: are...a-are you h-hurt?

I: *gulp* n-no max, i-i'm okay t-thanks to you... w-why would yo-

M: g-...good  

                Her breathing starts to slow down. no no no no Max stay with me-

I: y-you're g-gonna be okay, babe p-please just hang on, i t-think t-they called 911-

M: hey h-hey shhh... r-relax okay? s-stress was n-never a good l-look on ya *chuckle*

                   Even like this she still tries to make me smile... even if it could be for one last time

I: w-why would you d-do that m-max i-

M: because i couldn't just sit there and watch you get shot or *wince* k-ki-

I: shhhh please, s-save your energy

                   She lifts her hand and cups my cheek

M: iris

I: y-yes?

                     She pushes herself up a lil and kisses me softly. I hold her gently... please don't leave me. She lays back down and tucks some hair behind my ear. She weakly wipes my tears away with her thumb. I grab a cloth and try soaking up her blood

M: *wince*

I: i-i'm sorry I'm so sorry ma-

M: hey h-hey... shhhh ya d-don't *gulp* n-need to say sorry

I: but i... i c-couldn't, you're-

M: you're safe... t-that's all that m-matters right n-now... y-ya kicked s-some serious ass yanno that?-

                            Her eyes start slowly closing as she talks... no no no no-

I: m-max, p-please just d-don't leave me p-please-

M: c-come on... give me a s-smile iris... just... please?

               I try to give her a smile but fail. She weakly smirks back at me. She gasps for air for a second and I pull her closer to me. I can't stop my tears

M: i l-love you b-baby girl

I: i l-love you too

               She kisses me one more time... i feel her body go limp in my arms

I: no no no no p-please babe d-don't leave me

                  I hold her in my arms and hear the ambulance pull up

I: p-please d-don't go-

                  They rush in and put down a stretcher. I hold her closer to my chest. Don't make me let go of her please-

Trix: holy shit MAX!

                  Please d-don't leave me max please, please don't die-

I: s-stay with m-me please, p-please-

T: Iris, please, let her go, we might be able to save her but only if you let us help

I: I c-can't, i... s-she-

T: we're running out of time, if there's ANY chance for her we NEED to get her to the hospital NOW

I: i... i-i- *gulp*

                    I start to hear a faint ringing in my ear as i slowly let her go. They rush her to the ambulance and drive away... the room is dead silent... I look down at my outfit... drenched in her blood-

I: *sobs* w-why wasn't it m-me?
