Freddie POV

I'm getting my heavy gear off after some training for a break

H: hey kid

Fred: yes sir?

H: i was thinking for lunch today we could do some BBQ and was wondering if ya know how to work a grill

Fred: actually i have no idea

H: well i think any firefighter should known proper fire safty while cooking. I'll teach ya, see every week we take turns and it's your turn

Fred: oh, cool, be right there

H: take your time you'll need son

He's really nice, glad he's my chief. I finish taking off the gear and walk out to see everyone already in the small fire rescue truck, not to be confused with a fire truck. it's just a normal truck that's red and yellow and stuff. Most the boys are in the back with a big cooler, i assume harvey'll drive in the front. I walk over with Harvey

H: we all go in the truck and do it at the park since they got free grills over there to use, they ain't the best but they work

Fred: we don't have one?

Kevin: nah

Chris: we don't have enough funds... besides a grill is a grill put in the stuff we need it works

Fred: hm

I'll keep that mental note. I hope in the passenger seat and Harvey starts to drive

H: we got everything we need?

K+C: yes sir

H: great

He closes the window and starts driving

H: freddie

Fred: yes sir?

H: how's your twin doing?

Fred: oh, jacka-... jack? yah they're fine... took that police job

H: they did?

Fred: yeah, i'm kinda proud of jack, didn't expect em to do it... not that it would've effected me, i know they love being a clown... it's kinda cool

H: well, don't put too much pressure on the kid... Tom isn't the nicest person in this town... have you told em you're proud

Have i? maybe not enough... i thought it was obvious

Jackass POV

Tom: alright jack that's enough training for now... well with the obstacle course at least

                               Oh thank God

Tom: now, you're gonna read this

He dropped a huge book on the bench next to me

JA: yoo... okay so um what chapter?

T: all of it

JA: all of it??? uh okay when do i-

T: tomorrow you'll be taking a training assignment at the local school. Simple job really, but read this for the protocols and blah blah blah... you'll figure it out... well you better if you ever wanna make it as a cop. Go home or don't, i don't care. just get this all in your head... and come in early tomorrow

I guess i should bring this home... i've never taken something this heavy in my tote bag... but oh well. I put it in and drive to the comic shop. On the way i see freddie with the firefighters at the park. I decide to stop by and say hello

Fred: jack?

JA: hey freddie

Fred: hey!

He gives me a hug and waves at the other firefighters, i guess, to tell them he'll be over here for a while

Fred: whats going on? you okay? you're off early

JA: oh yeah i'm okay, a lil tired. I actually have to study this huge book

Fred: wow, you're really serious about this

JA: well yeah, i told you i was gonna do it

Fred: i know... i'm proud of ya yanno

JA: really?

Fred: yeah... maybe we can work something out, maybe i can come to your gig at the circus once in a while and help you preform

HE'D DO THAT? THAT'D BE AWESOME! He picks up the book

Fred: damn this shit is heavy... and thick, how much studying you have to do?

JA: a lot, but i'll deal with it. In fact tomorrow i'm gonna be doing some on field stuff

Fred: that's awesome jack

JA: OH! also, i'm feeling she/they today if you wanted to know what to refer to me today as

Fred: oh, okay sis

JA: :)... i'ma go to the comic store and then head home, anything you want?

Fred: nope, thanks though
