meeting part 2

Diane POV

D: *rolls eyes* tell us something we don't know

                               Adie elbows me in the side

D: ow, i didn't mean it like in a bad way

V: i don't really know what's happening but... they're in trouble

                            Allie and Madi look up

Mad: like... a-all of them?

A: sam too?

V: the ones in jail, that Virus infected... from what i caught on the news...

                           She shows us some clips of the news this morning on the tv and pauses it on each of the unstables

V: look *zooms in* there... and there... there too, they're fading 

A: what do you mean fading?

F: like... d-dying?

V: i have *gulp* no idea, we'd need to get a closer look which is why you're all here... if we get permission... we can choose people who go in groups at a time to hopefully figure out what's wrong with them... no normal towns folk want to so we'd be their only options-

*knock knock*

I: s-sorry I'm late... i lost all concept of time for a minute there

                         I pull Adie closer to me... i notice people kinda stepping to the side and scooting away as Iris sits other than Madi, Allie and Faith

V: oh, well, long story short the unstable are in trouble

Iris POV

                         They're all looking at me... 

Mad: iris

I: yes?

Mad: weren't you infected?

I: well... i suppose so   

D: so shouldn't you be locked up-

Adie: DIANE

D: it's just a question adie

R: no one else is getting locked up

                           Rose and Alanis come thru a set of doors

R: iris would've be showing the same levels of unstablibilty as the others and clearly isn't... that being said, i have a request for you Iris

I: for me?

R: um... considering the recent event i think maybe... it'd be best for a while you stay at home

                          I knew it...

I: o-oh... um, w-well of course that'd make sense-

R: please don't take it the wrong way iris it's just for-

                        They're scared of me-

I: s-safety reason... i understand

Mad: are you sure you're okay with it iris?

I: y-yep... just dandy 

R: and about visiting the jail... i need at least a week

A: we have to wait a week???

R: i-i'm sorry it's the best i can do with so much on my plate

Alan: yeah she's doing her best here guys, give her a break

D: bet gabrielle would've gotten us there already, screw the rules yanno?

R: i...

Alan: hey!

                     Alanis slams her fist on the table

Alan: listen asshole i know YOU don't seem to be as affected as most people cause you were in a shelter with your girl AND your smoke shop was fine but that doesn't mean you can treat us like shit. First off, I'll have you know Gabrielle would be MORE stressed than Rose is right now, she's just out of commission and second, rose is doing the best job she can do, i'd like ta see ya walking in her shoes... well, heels for at least a DAY... so lay off punk

D: *gulp*... s-sorry...

Alan: that's what i thought

                         Rose looks at Alanis a lil shocked but looks away when they stand up straight and look back at her

R: *clears throat* w-well um... i-i'll get back to all of you as soon as i can. I have some things to attend to and just so you know... i really do wish i could make things go faster but with the limited resources we have at the moment i just... *sigh* i just can't... I'm sorry

Alan: you have nothing to apologize for... you're doing great

R: you may return to whatever you were doing now

                         I get up and am first to leave

Diane POV

                          We get home and Adie looks at me pissed

A: uh, WHAT was that bout? 

D: what was what about?

A: why were ya kinda a bitch?

D: oh my God, adie not you too-
