Flashback Continues..

Seojoon brought Hyung-sik and his son to the elders of their pack whose community is located at the mountains, east of their territory. He needed to seek their opinion of what his former fiancé was claiming as the true prophecy from the belief of the Goldentail elders.

If only up to him, he wouldn't want to give Hyung-sik another chance. But hearing that there is a possibility for his son to possess the abilities he wasn't able to inherit when born- if he is bonded with Hyung-sik's child, he'd like to take any chances.

Seojoon went with his trusted entourage and took Taehyung with him, as well as his younger brother, Seonggi - the father of Yoongi and Namjoon.

As Taehyung, who at that time was almost seven, stood up in front of the old men - about twelve of them gathered in front of a large bonfire, his face looked perplexed at what is happening.

Since he was little, he knew that the elders of their pack are not very amused of him as he was born to be a weaker Alpha that everyone was not expecting, given he is Seojoon's successor. They all ought him to inherit the extraordinary characteristics of his father, which are the only ones existing in this world, and the reason why every pack fears them.

They made Taehyung feel that he is lacking for a future pack leader, therefore he knew that the elders don't trust him at all. But his father kept on reminding him that he can be and is the strongest Alpha after him - he just needs to train and learn more under his guidance.

After minutes of discussion, reading the moon and the energy given off by Taehyung and the child, the elders came to their conclusion.

"With all regrets, I'd say we might've made a mistake in our prophecy on Hyung-sik and Seojoon. This child--" a seventy-year old Alpha approached Hyung-sik and took the baby from him, "what is his name? And how old is he?"

"He is Seokjin. He turned one year old, just a couple of months ago." Hyung-sik answered, worriedly.

The elder Alpha removed the cloth that wrapped around Seokjin and took a closer look at his neck, "It's true that this child bears the mark of the moon."

Seojoon quickly walked towards the old man to look at Seokjin in his arms - his eyes widen when he confirmed that the baby has a small birthmark on his neck in the shape of a quarter moon.

"Then what does this mean?!" Seojoon asked.

"You and Hyung-sik must've been mistakenly interpreted as mates. Rather, the prophecy must've meant that the two of you will bring the fated mates into this world. Hyung-sik did not have any birthmark on him. As to his child, this small birthmark definitely meant something. He is a child of the Moon Night Howlers. Therefore, he must be the true Luna of our pack."

"So we really must protect the child, am I correct?" Seojoon said, he glanced at Hyung-sik.

"That's right. But it's too risky to let him stay in our territory. It will immediately spark a war against the Goldentails. They do have a claim on the child too because Hyung-sik's Alpha is a Goldentail."

"B-but they will kill my child." Hyung-sik said.

"Maybe then we should just hide him in the mountains of Jiri, where the monks can look after him. Just until the chaos in the enemy's pack dies down." Another elder said.

"Will that be enough to protect him? They may still find him there." Seojoon argued.

The elders whispered amongst themselves for a while. Then one stood up and spoke, "The child's fated mate can create a protective mark on him for the meantime. Taehyung will be able to do that given his abilities, then you can strengthen the mark so the protection won't break."
