After a couple of days.
Jimin slightly knocked at Jin's room to call him out for dinner. When he heard Jin said, "I'm not hungry, Chim. Thanks!", he sighed deeply and shook his head.
Then he said against the door, "I am still coming in, Jinnie!"
When Jimin opened the door, he found Jin sitting in front of his study desk, his eyes on his laptop.
"I thought you are still crying." Jimin said as he walked towards Jin's bed. He then sat by the edge and looked at Jin with his sad eyes. "Are you feeling better?!"
"Yeah. I'm done shedding tears for him, Chim." Jin said softly, but he pressed his lips as tears are forming again at the corner of his eyes.
"Then why are you still not eating?! I told you he's not worth it! He may have taken away your virginity, but you still have your freedom. He's not your Alpha."
"Thankfully, he's not." Jin sighed. "I've been thinking of a thousand reasons why I should be thankful that he's not my Alpha. I am now on the 377th. So I'm starting to feel better. And I am eating, by the way. I just had a sandwich. So I'm still full. Thank you for preparing dinner though."
"I-- uhm, actually, the dinner was sent by Sir Jeon."
Jin turned to look at Jimin, "What? Did you tell him what happened?!"
"No, of course not! We promised not to tell anyone that we've met the Kim's. But he was already asking why you're not coming to the office for days now.
His EA, Mr. Cha, was questioning everyone in your department where you are. I think some of the camera crew spilled what happened the last time, when you showed your sunbae the crime scene you were telling him about. And clearly, Sir Jeon wasn't pleased. He fired your sunbae right away."
"Oh no, Suho-sunbae got fired because of me?!" Jin stood up and sighed. "What was Jungkook thinking?!"
"I think he thinks a lot about you, Jinnie. So now he's summoning you back to the office. He sent dinner, with a bottle of wine actually, and said he's looking forward to seeing you back in the office tomorrow. I read the card, sorry." Jimin slightly smiled.
"Tsk! I don't know how the heck I can avoid him."
"Why do you want to avoid him anyways?! In my opinion, I think he's a better Alpha than Kim Taehyung. And he really likes you, way from the start!" Jimin crossed his arms across his chest.
Jin's eyes became gloomier than before, hearing Taehyung's name again. Then he muttered, "They have the same profile, Chim. They're both clan leaders. I am nobody to them. Just as what Taehyung said - he never would've wanted to bond with someone like me."
Tears slowly flowed down Jin's cheeks, but he wiped them frantically and inhaled deep to keep himself from crying further. "I said I'm done shedding tears for him."
"Aww Jin.. Sir Jeon is very different, you know that. He has already expressed his desire to claim you, right? He even offered to overpower your mark. Maybe he's the only one who can do that as he's equally a strong Alpha. Why don't you give him just a small chance?!"
"What if he learns that I had my first heat with Kim Taehyung?! You think he will like it? He might just kill me. So, no.. that's not a good idea, Chim. I just want to be alone for some time.
I wish I never met that Alpha. I wish I could turn back time and just drove home that night. Maybe then-- maybe it didn't turn out this way. Maybe there was no way I could ever meet him again."
Jimin sighed as Jin started to cry softly again. He then walked to Jin to give him a back hug. "Oh Jinnie-- I wish I can do anything to lessen your pain and loneliness right now."
