Chapter 27

Jungkook just stared blankly at the fireplace of his living room as the doctor continued to clean several of his wounds and cuts. His face was stoic while he recalled the scenes that took place at the event earlier.

His thoughts were disturbed when Eun-woo walked into the living room and spoke, "Everything has been cleaned up. Thirteen dead bodies of Alphas of our clans were taken. Their families are now compensated. Lastly, I have also made sure that the organizers of the events will not speak about what happened."

Jungkook lets out a deep sigh, then he said, "The elders must be blaming me. Did you hear from them?"

"They knew the Zeta werewolf appeared. So they're not surprised that we backed down. However, they wanted to see you. It's about Seokjin."

"What about him?!"

"I'm not sure. But per the reports I received, they have suspicions that if he's Taehyung's fated Luna, then he's also the one who's mentioned in our prophecy - the Luna that may bring peace to our pack."

Jungkook's eyebrows furrowed and turned to look at Eun-woo. "Seokjin?! I thought the fated one was already dead?"

"Don't you remember what the elders said, Jungkook? According to most of them, it wasn't confirmed. Though Park Hyung-sik was found dead, the child's dead body wasn't really lying anywhere." Eun-woo said.

"It all makes sense then! I told you I've been having dreams about Seokjin." Jungkook stood up, not even minding the doctor who's treating him.
"The prophecy said he'll bring power to the enemy, or will bring peace to us. That's why the elders wanted him with us alone. He could also be my destined Luna! He'll bring peace by staying by my side!"

"He could be. That's if you can snatch him from Taehyung. He's been marked temporarily. That means they found him first before we did. We were slacking off too much, Jungkook."

Jungkook took a deep breath and bit his bottom lip, "Fuck! Kim Taehyung is always in my way!! I have backed down enough. It's time I claim what I want!!"

Jin was fidgeting with his fingers as he stared outside of the car window. He still couldn't process what just took place and never did he imagine himself being between two pack leaders - even worse is that the two are mortal enemies of all histories.

Jin then felt a hand squeezed on his to stop his fingers from trembling. He turned to look at his best friend sitting beside him.

"Jin? You feeling okay?" Jimin asked.

Jin only nodded, then he looked at Yoongi and Namjoon in front, Yoongi driving the SUV they're in.

"W-would Taehyung-ssi be okay?! He's been badly wounded." Jin asked softly.

He was hoping to talk to the Alpha after the Goldentail members left the scene earlier. But Taehyung didn't even turn to glance at him anymore when the Alpha followed his father to take the vehicle with him.

It was Yoongi who pulled Jin to join them as he said that Jimin was coming with him. Hence, Jin just followed Yoongi and Namjoon even though his heart was longing to comfort his wounded Alpha.

"He'll be fine. Uncle Seojoon can heal him. Don't worry too much." Namjoon said.

"But knowing his stubborn ass, he'd rather ask for the doctor than have Uncle Seojoon help him feel better." Yoongi sighed.

"I- I'm so sorry guys for putting you all in trouble." Jin said as he stared down his fidgeting fingers again. But Jimin took his hand and clasp his own hand with Jin's.
