Jin awkwardly walked to his desk as he can feel everyone's eyes are darted on him. He thought that maybe it's because of his sunbae getting fired because of him. He himself feels bad about it, as he didn't want it to happen to him even though Jin doesn't adore his sunbae too much.

Jin hasn't even taken his seat when his intercom rang. He picked it up and whispered, "Hello?"

"Good morning, Kim Seokjin! I am calling from the desk of the Office of the CEO. President Jeon is asking for your presence, right away please. Thank you."

"Ah, uhm-"

Jin wasn't able to say a word when the line was already cut. So he just pouted and hung up the phone. He then took a deep breath before heading upstairs to Jungkook's office.

*******

Jin tried to fix a smile before entering Jungkook's office. He greeted him cheerfully like he used to do before.

"Good morning, Mr. Jeon!" Jin walked to the front of Jungkook's desk. "I mean- Jungkook. Good morning, Jungkook! You wanted to see me?"

Jungkook stood up and walked around his desk, then he pulled Jin to the sofa where they sat next to each other.

"Of course, I want to see you. How are you, Jin? I got so worried about you." Jungkook asked, his look was stern.

"I'm-- fine. I'm sorry, I haven't been efficient at work. Jungkook, you didn't really need to fire Suho-sunbae. It wasn't his fault--"

"It is. He scolded you in front of many. I don't like it--"

"But--"

"There's no more but's, Seokjin. Don't feel burdened. He's a Goldentail, and I have many other subsidiary companies he can apply at. I did not blacklist him completely."

Jin sighed, "Okay. If you say so. But please, don't worry about me at work. I don't like it when others would take our friendship the wrong way."

"Don't 'friend zoned' me right away, Jin." Jungkook chuckled softly. "You know I want things to be more than that. But before we can go there, will you tell me about that murder scene you saw?"

Jin gulped lightly and looked down. He can't keep a straight look at Jungkook's eyes when he's about to hide some things.
"Uhm, I didn't exactly saw what they were burying. But I could tell that it smelled like human blood. But I have no idea who did it too."

"I understand. It must've been a scary sight for you. Please don't do that again, Jin. You don't need to throw yourself into danger just to get a catchy news. It's not worth it.
I was thinking of giving you a desk at the upper department, would you like that? You don't need to go out in the field anymore." Jungkook asked, scooting closer to Jin.

Jin held his breath for a short while, then he said, "Thank you, Jungkook. But please don't do that. I enjoy going out in the field. I just don't like doing the basic assignments like traffic reports, citizens surveys and whatnots. That's why I am trying to go out more. Don't worry, I won't go overboard again."

"If that's what you want, then okay." Jungkook kept on scanning his eyes all over Jin, as if trying to figure out something.

Jin felt a bit conscious so he said, "W-why? Is something wrong?!"

"Something's different about you. You've gone to your full heat, haven't you?!" Jungkook asked with creased forehead.

"I-- uhm-"

"Don't even try lying to me, Seokjin! I can tell. Who helped you on your full heat?!"

Jungkook's eyes went red as he stared at Jin, which made the latter feel frightened. So he stood up in front of Jungkook and said,
