Chapter 24

Taehyung's red eyes are just darted outside the window of their limousine. He's been silent since they left their mansion, not uttering even a single word.

Namjoon gets worried at times like these. Very rare that Taehyung's eyes stay red for a couple of days. The last time this happened was when Jin asked a Beta to be his date at the freshmen highschool dance.

That time, Taehyung thought that Jin was too young to even think of going to a dance, more so with a date. Hence, he got really angry. It took a lot of work for Namjoon and Yoongi to stop that Beta from going to the dance and just ghost Jin as his date.

Therefore, Namjoon tried to lighten the mood inside the vehicle. He cleared his throat and said, looking at Taehyung,

"Yoongi-hyung texted that they just arrived at the venue. He said Jimin looks so beautiful in the all-white suit he bought for him. I think he's finally realizing he needs his Omega. He used to say he doesn't need one. But look at him now.. Don't you agree it's about time for him to settle down?!"

Namjoon raised his eyebrows as he anticipated a response from Taehyung. But there came none. So he sighed deeply,

"Tae, you seriously have to calm down. Uncle Seojoon--"

"How can I fucking calm down when my father kept on rubbing it to my face that my Seokjin is dating Jeon Jungkook?!!!" Taehyung shouted at the top of his lungs.

The driver of the limousine almost hit the break in too much fright, but he quickly thought he had to be careful if he didn't want to absorb their leader's wrath.

"He wasn't rubbing it to you. He's just merely reminding you of what decisions to consider, now that Seokjin is slipping away from you.."

"Shut up! Shut up, shut up, shuuttt uppp!!!" Taehyung yelled with gritted teeth. "He is not gonna slip away from me!! I'll make sure of it!!"

"Well, you won't be able to achieve that by being mad all the time! Tae, get yourself together! You're not like this at all. You are usually calm, smart and you make decisions well in the business--"

"Seokjin is not just my business. You know that, Namjoon. He is much more than anything in my life." Taehyung said, now softly, but still firm. Then he turned to look back outside of the window to hide his red teary eyes.

As Taehyung and Namjoon came into the hotel ballroom, all eyes were darted into them, especially on the Moon Night Howlers leader. It's the first time in many history that Taehyung attended this event, therefore it created a great buzz amongst many.

Despite all the murmuring, Taehyung's eyes darted only on one person. As they met eyes, sudden rage of longingness filled Taehyung's chest when he saw Jin in the arms of his biggest rival in this world.

On the other hand, Jin couldn't hide the pain of the sting from his mark which he felt was all burning towards his skin. It's the worst that he's ever felt it so far, and with this he wondered if his theory was right.

Jin could only see pain and anger in Taehyung's eyes, therefore he thought it is truly correct that his mark was the way to tell how the Alpha really feels.

Jin's eye contact with Taehyung was broken when Jungkook suddenly stepped in front of him to cover Taehyung from his sight. His eyes widen when Jungkook's grip on his waist became tighter.

Then the Alpha spoke, "I don't want you looking at him at any time of this night. You are here with me, and I am going to be your Alpha soon, Seokjin. Therefore, you are only allowed to look at me and no one else." His gaze came like penetrating Jin's mind.
