Chapter 44

"What do you mean there's been a shooting in the stadium?!" Jungkook asked as he forced himself to get up from bed.

"One of our correspondents was there and said that Seokjin and Sangyeob were attacked by several men who fired at them at the parking lot out of nowhere. But-- you don't look really good, Jungkook. You are sick." Eun-woo said, trying to stop Jungkook from getting out of the bed.

"I'm fine! I need to go there, Seokjin needs me!" Jungkook said, he took his coat and quickly put on his shoes.

"His Alpha was there! There's no need for you to go there, Jungkook! When will you stop this?! He is already marked!! You don't need to protect him!!" Eun-woo shouted in frustration. "If you are just being like this because you didn't want to lose on that Moon Night Howler leader, then it's not worth it at all!! Seokjin's family killed your father! But you still care for him!! What the fuck, Jungkook!! You are just being ridiculous!!"

Jungkook stopped and just stared at Eun-woo. After all the years the latter was working for him, he never complained about a single thing. Hence, he was surprised at his sudden outburst.

Eun-woo was already getting nervous at lashing out suddenly on their pack leader. But his frustration just grew on him, as he's someone who cared for Jungkook since they were kids.

With a calmer tone, he continued, "Y-you.. you should just find another Luna who can make you happy, Jungkook. There are tons out there.. here.. maybe-- m-maybe just in front of y-you. But it's never going to be Seokjin. He's only causing you pain and suffering! Don't you realize that?! What is it that keeps you doing this shit--"

"I love him!!!" Jungkook suddenly shouted. "I love Seokjin. Therefore, there is no other Luna, Omega nor any other Alpha for me!!" He said with gritted teeth, then shove past Eun-woo whose eyes were already blurry with tears.

"Drive me to the stadium!" Jungkook commanded his guards. But he came to an abrupt stop when he felt a heavy pain on his chest. "Nngh! Get me water!"

Eun-woo suddenly appeared beside him and handed him a bottle of water. Jungkook stared at him for a while, but then took the water from him. He said, "You're not obliged to come with me if you are against my decisions."

"I choose to stay by your side, Jungkook. No matter what you do." Eun-woo muttered.

Jungkook did not respond anymore, he walked briskly to his car in front of the hotel's entrance- when another car came speeding their way. It came to a strong halt, then he saw Taehyung, Yoongi and Jin coming out of it. More cars came after, and numerous Moon Night Howlers came behind.

"You, Goldentail!! Let's fucking put an end to this!!" Taehyung shouted.

Jin was running after him, trying to stop him, "Tae! Please!! Calm down. We don't--"

"He tried to have you killed!!" Taehyung said as he turned to look at his Luna.

"K-kill Seokjin?! I did not--"

Jungkook's words were cut off when Taehyung charged at him, grabbing his throat before slamming him against the ground. Taehyung's fury was evidenced by his glowing, yellow eyes - which shocked Jungkook.

Eun-woo ran to help Jungkook, but Yoongi was quick to grab his shoulders and toss him further away. The rest of Yoongi's men attacked the Goldentails coming at them and some hoping to help their pack leader.

Strong pounding punches and high kicks were thrown around - everywhere Jin looks. It was as if everything happened too fast that he couldn't understand anymore what's transpiring before him. The quiet night beneath a beautiful moonlight suddenly became a picture of a battle and a bloodbath.
