The Question

"Hmmmm" George said as he looked through the menu.

I didn't look at the menu. I just looked at him with a smile on my face. He was so perfect. My heart-skipped a beat.

"The menu is down there" George said as he chuckled and pointed at my menu.

"I know, I am just looking at the view" I said as I softly chucked.

He hid his face with his menu.

Time Skip

"Finally, I am starving" George said as the waiter left.

We were in a private room, no people around. He began to eat.

"This is delicious" He said with his mouth full.

I smiled.

"You are being weird again" He said as he swallowed his food.

"I have a question to ask" I said nervously.

"What is it?" He said as he out another piece of steak in his mouth.

"So I was thinking, at what point of our relationship would it be okay for us to you know..." I said as I paused.

"Have sex" I mumbled.

He began to choke on his steak. I quickly handed him a napkin. He spit out the piece of steak he was choking on.

"Are you okay?" I said worried.

"Yeah, you just caught me off guard" He said nervously with a horse voice.

"I am sorry, you don't have to answer if you don't want to" I said as I handed him my glass of water.

He took a sip.

"No no it's fine, I was sort of... also thinking that" He said nervously.

"Oh?"

"I mean, if you're ready then, anytime" He said as he stopped eye contact.

His face was red, but to be fair he was choking like a minute ago.

"We are only doing it if you are ready"  I said as smiled at him.

He looked nervous. He was just staring at his food.

"I am so stupid, I should have never asked. I just ruined the whole mood" I said as I sighed.

I reached for my fork to begin to eat. George quickly put his hand over mine. We made eye contact.

"I...I am ready" He said nervously.

We both smiled.

"Not tonight right?" He said as he shakily chuckled.

"No, unless you want to" I said as he got his hand off mine.

"I don't know" He said as he sighed.

"I only asked now because, one day we will be in the moment and have to stop completely because we weren't ready and haven't had the talk" I said as I put a piece of steak in my mouth.

"Right" He said as he took another sip of water.

Time Skip

We were in the car, outside the restaurant.

"We could go home, or go do something else"

"Wow, you really didn't have this date planned" He said as he laughed.

"Hey, I made the reservations, that's something"

We both laughed. The time was 7pm. We were eating and talking for about 2 hours.

"We could go to one of those car movies?" He said nervously.

"Car movies?" I said with a confused look on my face.

"Yeah, it's like all outdoors and you stay in your car while a movie plays on the big screen outside" (George)

"OH, that, a drive in theater" I said as I chuckled.

"I think I know a place" I said as I started the car.

George POV

If I am being completely honest. I didn't care about the movie. I just wanted to be alone with Dream. I have been wanting to be with him a lot. Wanting to kiss him a lot. When he asked that question at dinner, it really did catch me off guard. There has been many times where our kisses escalated fast. I want them to keep going, but I didn't think Dream was actually ready to take the next step. I feel a bit relieved.

The goal was for us to go to the backseat to cuddle and watch the movie, and maybe kiss. Well not maybe but definitely kiss. That's all I want.

I watched Dream as he drove. It was hard to believe I am actually dating. To think I always used to say I never would, now I am. All these times we would stay on call and go about our days. All these times he would flirt with me and I thought he was just playing around.

"Hey, eyes on the road co-pilot" He said as he laughed.

I snapped out of thought. I rolled my eyes.

"Like I said, you're a dork" I said as I laughed.

"Whatever" He said as he laughed.

We arrived at the drive in theater. Dream parked the car.

"Do you want some snacks or something" He said as he turned the car off.

"No I am good" I said as I smiled.

I felt nervous. Maybe I shouldn't act on this plan. I want to, I really do want to.

"I- I think I am going to sit in the backseat, there is more space" I said hoping he would join me.

"In the back? You won't be able to see with the head rests" He said puzzled.

"It's fine I can just peek through the middle" I said as I chuckled.

"Hold on" He said as he took his seatbelt off.

I took my seatbelt off and got out the car. He took off the head rests from both seats. We both sat in the back.

"I didn't even know you can take those things off" I said as I laughed.

The movie was about to start.

"What movie is this?" I asked.

"I think its The Exorcist" (Dream)

"I hate scary movies" I said as I sighed.

"You will be fine, you have me" He said as he held my hand.

I put my head on his shoulder. I let out a sigh of relief. I felt safe with him. He made me happy. Never have I thought I would feel this way. Especially with Dream.
