Lily and Rick was working on their own little projects in the garage in the morning.
"Do you mind handing me the wrench? I need to tighten the bolt on this." Lily said, looking over her gadget. Rick grabbed it and smirked, holding it over his head. Lily looked at him and shook her head.
"Come on, Rick, really? You're how old?" She asked, trying to get it from him. He kept it away from her, laughing.
"I'll give you the wrench on one condition. Let's go out Friday night." Rick said. Lily stopped trying to get the wrench and looked at him.
"Like a date?" He nodded. She rubbed her neck. "Rick, I-I don't know. I just-"
"We don't have to call it a date. It can just be the two of us hanging out, like we did when we first met! I just..." Rick put down the wrench and took her hands. "I've just been thinking a lot lately, and I may not have shown it or act like it hardly at all the past few months, but I do still love you, Lily." Lily looked at him in shock. He smiled a bit and kissed her forehead.
"I'm going to check on breakfast," Rick said before walking out. Lily watched him walk out. And I still love you, you bastard. She thought before running her hands through her hair, letting out a deep sigh. She heard footsteps and she looked. Rick slid into the doorway.
"Lil, help me search the place! We got parasites!"
"The memory ones??" Lily asked, rushing over.
"Yeah. I'll search downstairs, you go upstairs." Rick walked away.
"And I was really looking forward to testing that photon-plasma grenade today." Lily mumbled as she went upstairs and started looking for the parasites. She scanned each room and couldn't find any. She came downstairs.
"I don't see any." Lily said.
"Well, there's 7 of us and that's it! Me, Lily, Morty, Jerry, Beth, Mr. Poopybutthole, and Summer," Rick said.
"Maybe you got the first one in time, Rick!" Mr. Poopybutthole encouraged.
"Can't afford to chance it." Rick said, hitting a button on his watch. The family watched as the whole house got covered in blast shields.
"Dad, why does our house have blast shields?" Beth asked.
"Trust me, Beth, you don't want to know how many answers that question has." Lily said, loading her gun.
"Ooh, gosh, it feels claustrophobic! Reminds me of that time we got stuck in the elevator together. Y-- Remember that? After "The Hulk" Musical?" They all thought back to it
- Flashback -
All 7 of them were standing in the elevator and Jerry was punching the button with foam Hulk Fist.
"Jerry, buttons don't work if you hit them harder, and foam fists don't make you strong." Beth told him.
"I know. Friends make you strong. I watched the same musical you did." Jerry retorted.
"Why could we bring our portal guns?" Rick asked, taking out his flask and taking a sip of it. Lily took it from him and took a sip herself. Morty whined.
"Why did all the drinks have to be extra large? Oh, The Hulk. I just got that." Morty said, crossing his legs so he doesn't pee himself.
"Just pee your pants. I did the minute we got stuck." Summer said. Everyone looked at her in disgust. "Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, shame me. At least when I'm disgusting, it's on purpose." Summer said, pointing at all of them.
"Oh, y'all, we're gonna be fine. I've always been here for you guys, and I always will be." Mr. Poopybutthole said. The top of the elevator opened and a man with a Brooklyn accent showed up.
