"Morty, get out." Rick said.
"But Rick-" The teenage boy said.
"I'll be fine. Get. Out." The boy left and Rick put away his gun.
"Lily..... I thought you were dead...." He looked at his ex-wife and she saw he was angry. She wasn't afraid.
"That's because I wanted you to think I was." She said calmly.
"Why!? Why would you do that to me!? I nearly killed myself!!" He yelled at her. That's when she got angry.
"Because I wanted to start over after you cheated on me!" She yelled back. He stopped and looked at her. He saw tears streaming down her face. "You.... cheated on me.... so I wanted you to think I was dead..... because for awhile.... I was...." She started sobbing softly to herself, not breaking his gaze.
"Lily.... I....." He sighed and looked down, rubbing the back of his neck. There was silence between them. The only thing that could be heard was Lily's soft sobs slowly stopping. She wiped her face and took a drink from her flask.
"Birdperson was the one who convinced me to see you." She said, staring at her flask in her hand. "He said you were devestated after you thought I died."

"I was." He grabbed her chin and made her look at him. "I told you I nearly killed myself. The night I cheated on you, I immediately regretted it right afterwards. Nothing I can say can change that. I know and I'm sorry." She looked at him but jerked her chin away.
"I can't forgive you that easily, Rick. You'll have to earn my forgiveness."
"That's understandable." The garage door suddenly opened and there was a blonde standing there, a gun pointed to Lily's face. Lily looked at the blonde and gasped. It was her daughter, Beth. The last time Lily saw her, she was very young.
(A/N: THAT'S RIGHT. LILY IS BETH'S MOM. GET OVER IT.)
"Dad, are you okay?" Beth asked, keeping the gun pointed at the woman standing near her father.
"Jesus Christ, Beth, yes! I'm fine! Put the damn gun down." Rick said, annoyed. Beth took a second and then lower it.
"Mortyy told me a strange woman was in your garage and he heard yelling so he thought you might of been in trouble." Beth told her father. Rick sighed.
"Beth, I can handle myself, so no offense, I don't need help from anybody." Beth watched the woman give her a father a look and he chuckled nervously.
"Well, you're not just anybody, Lily." He said, rubbing the back of his head.
"Dad, who is this?"
"Oh right. Lily, this is Beth. Beth, this is Lily. Your mother." Rick said. Beth's eyes widened and then she rolled them.
"Yeah, right, dad. I'm blonde like my REAL mom. She's redhead." Beth said.
"That's because I drank a formula that made my hair permantely red." Lily explained.
"Look, if you don't believe me, Beth, I can run a full DNA test and let you watch me so you don't think I contaminated anything." Rick offered. Beth thouhgt about it and nodded in agreement.
After 30 minutes of getting both of their DNA, Rick started the test, Beth watching over his shoulder. Lily didn't watch. She knew she was Beth's mother.
'Hell, I should know after being in labor with her for three days and almost really died.' She thought to herself and rolled her eyes. After Rick finished the test and it had proven to be they were right, Beth looked at Lily.
"But- But-" Beth was confused.
"I thought she was dead so I..... made you forget her to spare the pain for you." Rick said. Beth teared up and hugged her mother tightly. Lily hugged back just as tight, crying softly. She thought for years she was never going to see her baby again. Beth pulled away and wiped her tears, laughing a bit.
"Oh! You have to meet everyone then! Our family is now complete!" Beth dragged her mother into the house.
"Easy, Beth! I'm not as young as I look!" She pulled her hand away and fixed herself. She followed Beth into the living room. There were three people in there. Morty, who Lily remembered from earlier, a man with the same hair as Morty and looks like an idiot, and a teenage girl with redish-orange hair. Beth made her stop behind the couch and she walked in front, turning off the screen. They were cries of protest.
"Guys, I have exciting news. We have a new addition to a family!" Beth said excitedly.
"Oh God, you're not pregnant are you?" The girl said, looking up from her phone.
"Are you?!" The man asked, worriedly.
"No! I'm not pregnant!" Beth sighed. "Anyway, I want you all to meet my mother, Lily." Beth gestured to her and they all turned around to look at her. Lily waved.
"Hello." She said. Rick walked up and stood by her.
"Mom, this is morty." She pointed to Morty. "My husband, Jerry." She pointed to the man. "And Summer." She pointed to the girl.
"Nice to meet you al-" Lily started.
"Hold on, hold on, wait wait wait." Jerry said, getting up and turning towards Rick and Lily. "You mean to tell me that this is your mother. I met your mother! This is not your mother!" He shouted at Beth, pointing at Lily. Lily squinted.
"How would you know if I'm her mother or not!? Did you carry her in YOUR womb for 9 months and spent three days in labor with and nearly died!? No. I don't think so." Jerry stood there with his jaw dropped.
"Plus, we did a DNA testto make sure." Beth said, giving him the results.
"O-Oh. I'm sorry." Jerry said to his mother-in-law, who he knows to be terrified of. Lily just rolled her eyes.
"So, is she gonna be staying with us?" Summer asked.
"Of course sh-" Beth started.
"No I'm not." Lily interrupted. Beth looked at her confused. "Your father and I have some things to work out so until we do, I'll be staying at my home. I will come over and might have to crash here for a couple of nights." Beth nodded sadly, but cheered up right away.
"Well, this is exciting! How about you stay with us for dinner, Mom?" Lily smiled.
"Sure. I don't have any plans."
(A/N: For the record, Lily did die, but she survived.)
