Ribbons Hold Me Together

With every painful tear,
I come undone.

I've learned how to
wind myself back together.
I am stitches made into
golden yarn, each scar
a blessing.

Some people would stare at the crevices
in between my smooth skin.
I never expected to like the attention,
but it beams me into heaven.

If there was no hate,
I would be a different person.
I wonder what that life would be?
What would life be if my ego wasn't
fated into transformation?

I made out with judgement
and we fused into pleasure.
We kissed under stormy weather.
We melted into one another
as asteroids caressed the Earth.
We gave birth that day.

We bore something unobservable,
and it was a lesson I learned.
"If you don't believe in me,
I will believe in me more."
I got tired of being the victim,
so I melded myself a warrior.
